There were many other choices of motels in this area and we have tried others but La Quinta Inn & Suites Chicago Tinley Park is the best value for the price. It is also easy to find from the Interstate.
Just a quick overnight stay on the way to visit relatives. Very nice but the breakfast left a little to be desired. But who cares? It was free. We actually drove another 100 miles east and ate breakfast at a Denny's. We'll be back next year.
I really enjoyed the ambiance of the room, the friendly staff, and amenities available. I would have preferred different blankets and pillows, a larger shower, and better soap products.
First they gave us the wrong room, but was very nice upon switching it to the right one. They told us the hot tub does not heat up but it is fully functional, ummm how is a HOT tub fully functional without the HOT? The hallways and elevator were very hot and smelt like smoke yet it is an air conditioned, non smoking hotel. Our bed blanket and couch in front of the bed both had stains on it. The bed was very hard. As far as the cleanliness, it looked like someone just went over the bathroom with a dry towel rather than actually cleaning it. The floors were sticky. There was a hand print in the middle of the mirror that drove me nuts! There was a big gap at the bottom of the door that let the hallway like in.
Like I said before the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night which frightened us alot. Especailly with fire trucks coming in the parking lot. They had kids that came in and pulled the alarm. I would think at 2:30 in the morning the doors should be monitered better than that.
Where do I begin? Upon entering the hotel the first thing I notice was a strong odor of cigarettes. I booked a king size bedroom and they tried to give me a double. When entering my room I notice the shower curtains had mold on the bottom of it and the toilets were cleaned with a dirty wash cloth, which left dirt on the toilet seat. The cover on the bed had a few holes on it. There was a table that had a broken leg on it that was barely standing. Even in the pool area was not that clean and the jets on the hot tub WERE NOT working. I am not the type that complains and makes a big deal about things but this was ridicules for the amount of money I paid. The last thing that made me the most upset was waking up the next morning smelling STRONG cigarettes IN my ROOM. All my clothes and hair smelled like it. I for sure would not recommend this room for anyone to stay. This was one of the worst hotels I have stayed in.
We got put in a room with 2 doubles rather than a king but it didn't take more than a few minutes to get switched. Breakfast was the usual waffles, toast, yogurt, etc. The pool and hot tub were nice.
This hotel was dirty. The elevators, halls, and stairwells were not cleaned regularly and it showed. We were supposed to stay at this hotel for 3 nights. We moved after our first night.
We were in Tinley Park to see a concert at the Ampitheater and this hotel worked out perfectly. It was reasonably priced. The rooms were decent - there bedding was EXCELLENT! And it was only 5 minutes from the Ampitheater. I would definately stay here again.
We checked in and found they were doing construction, The halls, room, and lobby smelled like cigarette smoke. The elevator and halls were not overly clean. The room itself seemed to have been freshly painted and redecorated but the hall needed repairs. It was OK but I wouldn't want to stay there again. Front desk staff was courteous and helpful.
Staff was very helpful and friendly
The first impression said it all. The appearance of the hotel was not at all comparable with surrounding hotels. When we entered our room the stench was unbearable. The room was in need of a total renovation. We immediately cancelled our stay. This was the first La Quinta we have ever been to. It was not what we expected.
