The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Hallways needed to be vacuumed.
Addressed problems with first two rooms: cigarette smoke smell. A/C not working. Third room was great.
convenient location clean nice clerk at check in
Price was jacked up for stay during Mom's weekend at the university. Was not worth the price I paid, but I think it is usually much less expensive.
Proximity to the university was great. Design of the building very nice. Didn't like the price per night but was less than most others so that was nice. Breakfast buffet was okay.
Mold in bathroom near ceiling (room 102). Carpet edges had visible build up of dust/debris. Be nice if there was ice/vending on all floors. Employees at desk didn't seem to be very happy to be there. They did have computer problems though.
Heavy smokey smell throughout hotel. Registration desk attendant very unprofessional and loud. Pool closed.
Hotel was pretty nice.
The service sucked The front desk lady kicked us out after we agreed to get the room for another night. And the house cleaners were super weird. Spoke no English and walked in your room without knocking standing outside waiting for u to leave.
Close to the Highway. Very good rates. Rooms were well appointed. Far exceeded my expectations.
Rooms may need a little updating. But that is really nitpicking.
Free coffee. Good breakfast
Towels had a bit of a funny smell
The hotel's public computer is hard to connect to internet, so I cannot print my document on the internet there.
Very clean and the floorplan is awesome!
Water pressure is a little bit low and the toilet needs an upgrade to a fast flusher.
Coffee was horrible , bathroom / shower was a horror never in stayed in the hotel with such dirty discussed shower, I didn't even take a shower . Could not get another room cause hotel was booked/ stayed here over the university Mother's Day weekend
The staffs were helpful and nice to talk with.
Second floor had some smell possibly by some rooms that allow smoking. Third floor was much better, a much cleaner smell.
The room was nice and cozy!
I checked in and opend a door to a dirty room was moved to another no big deal.. Went out to dinner later that night came back to discover someone else in my room all my things were in shambles and just thrown into my bag which was removed from the room
There wasn't enough parking for the hotel itself the front desk people was never at the front desk when I checked in or out or if I had a question
Under renovation in some areas, so it didn't show itself at its best. Just enough parking, staff was great, and I'd go again.
Room was dirty. chair, dirty leather sear and chair arm. Shower scum all over door. Second day pipes had busted. Water running down into Lobby which was not their fault. Front desk clerk eating pizza while I was trying for 20 mins to get my door open.
Breakfast was very good
room was extremely small and the beds were small and uncomfortable
The price, cleanliness and location.
It was cold and the blankets were not warm at all, even with the heat turned up. Also, a fan in the bathroom would be nice for noise reasons.
The hostess was extremely pleasant and very helpful on finding a great restaurant. Her name is cassidy.
Location is great if you have a kid at UofI.
Our room was on the very end, so the bathroom was tiny. No bathtub. Homecoming weekend is crazy busy, so we had to park next door at the plumbing supply company.
Sausage patties for the continental breakfast! Just kidding. I liked the interior design of the room (decoration was modest though). For a 2-star hotel, I was very delighted.
I wish the door to bathroom/shower was a better fit for the room. But in general I am not picky about how the room looks anyway. I stayed for a night, so there was very little impression to make for me by the staffs.
We liked everything about our stay at this hotel.
No, there was nothing that we did not like. Thanks.
gave us 2 beds/nonsmoking when at first said king/smoking was only available room
Breakfast room was cramped but food was fine
WiFi did not work, very little lit parking especially in back of motel, no refrigerator as expected, not first floor as expected, breakfast was not as good as other Sleep Inn motels... Ran out of items and did not replenish when asked.
affordable efficiency. no frills.
its the kind of place with the following- shampoo, body wash, no conditioner smoking rooms. beware of these. towels are thin. request extra. fridge was a plus. dont plan to walk anywhere in chambana if you stay here. easy access to interstate. free
Excellent hotel at a reasonable price. Convenient location, comfortable and quiet.
Sleep Inn Urbana is a nice motel in a great location. Just off the highway, you are minutes away from the University of Illinois and the downtown area. The staff members were very friendly and the room was clean and tidy. Our only problem was that we made our reservation during a very busy weekend (state science fair and wrestling tournament) and ended up in a room smokers used. For one night it was okay. Considering there were literally no other hotel rooms available in the area, I'm glad we got this room. I would go back to Sleep Inn Urbana.
The room is surprisingly modern with a comfortable bed and plenty of space. Breakfast is the basic continental, no problems there. Don't expect views or ambience - just a solid deal.
The entire facility reeks of smoke in spite of the 'This is a smoke free facility' sign at the front desk. Requests for a true non-smoking room from two separate guest at the same time brought a shrug and an offer to use a can of air freshener. The staff was totally disinterested in the guests. The breakfast was sub par, even for this kind of facility. Unless you are a smoker and like generic fruit loops stay away!
Rooms are a bit dated but comfortable
Front desk clerk would rather spend time with boyfriend hanging in lobby. Slept with my clothes and socks on-filthy. (make that tried to sleep!) Showers were filled with scum and hair everywhere. Need I say more?
