If fun, food and fantastic entertainment in the Caribbean is the goal, the 2,124 capacity Carnival Pride cruise ship has it all. The second ship in Carnival Cruise Line’s Spirit Class offers something for children and adults alike.
Departing from Baltimore, there are two main routes: the Eastern Caribbean, which includes Grand Turk Island in Turks & Caicos, and Freeport in the Bahamas, and the Bermuda route.
The 963-foot long Pride entered service in 2002 and was refurbished in 2014, and has choices of staterooms from a simple interior room, to the more luxurious full suite with balcony. Each sleeps up to four guests and come with private bathrooms.
Dining options aboard the Carnival Pride range from the refined dining of the Bonsai Sushi restaurant and the art deco inspired Normandie Restaurant, to casual with Guy’s Burger Joint, from Guy Fieri. For the best in Mexican food, the BlueIguana Cantina has freshly made tacos and burritos. And that is not all, a pizzeria, steakhouse, coffee house.
Guests can relax away an afternoon in the adult-only pool with a retractable roof at the Serenity Lounge, or in the Cloud 9 Spa where massages, body wraps, facials and more are on offer. In the evenings, there are stage shows, the Thrill Theatre, casino, comedy clubs and live music and DJs all available.
Children are well catered for too, with Camp Carnival for younger children, Circle C club for young teens and Club O2 for ages 15 - 17, there are plenty of activities to get involved with, such as the WaterWorks water slides.
