The flagship of the Millennium class by Celebrity Cruises, the Celebrity Millennium is a 964.6-foot cruise ship with 11 amenity-filled decks. She was launched in 2000 and underwent major refurbishment in 2012. The Celebrity Millennium visits a number of destinations, including Alaska and New England during the summer, and Southeast Asia during the winter. Some South Pacific routes are also offered during the fall months.
The Millennium itineraries currently include the 11-night Japanese Explorer, round-trip from Yokohama with stops including Kobe, Kochi and Nagasaki, and the 15-night Japan and Bering Sea route from Yokohama to Vancouver. There’s also a 14-night voyage to from Singapore to Hong Kong, stopping at Thailand, Vietnam and Taiwan.
The Millennium's onboard Olympic restaurant features a piece of nautical history: the carved wooden panels salvaged from the first class dining room of the Olympic, the Titanic’s sister ship. There’s also the Metropolitan, a two-floor dining room serving meals all day, and the casual Cafe al Bacio and Gelateria. Wine bar Cellar Masters has tastings, and observation lounge Cosmos offers nightly entertainment. For fun, kids can play at the Fun Factory while adults enjoy the thrill of Fortune's Casino.
The Celebrity Millennium carries 2,138 passengers and has 1,079 cabins, including 623 OceanView rooms with balconies. There are 50 suites, including 26 accessible rooms for passengers with mobility issues. There are two Penthouse Suites, each with 1,000 square foot private balconies and coming with personal butler service, in-suite dining and priority boarding.
