Cruise in sumptuous, artistic style on board The Costa Deliziosa by Costa Cruises, a blend of the Vista and Spirit class ships. The Deliziosa (deliziosa means delicious in Italian) certainly lives up to its name with four restaurants, eleven bars and a fabulous chocolate and coffee bar, all ready and waiting to offer passengers the cruise of a lifetime.
Art is at the heart of the Deliziosa. There are 340 original artworks and 4,756 prints on board, including Arnaldo Pomodoro's famous ‘Sphere’. Film fans will love it too, as the Costa Deliziosa boasts its own 4D cinema, a theatre on three levels, as well as a casino and disco. There's also a Grand Prix simulator with its own racing car, three pools, plus a jogging and roller skating track.
The Deliziosa has 1,130 cabins in total, 52 of which offer access to the spa with a gym, baths, treatment rooms, Jacuzzis and a UVA-ray solarium all on tap. There are over 660 cabins that enjoy a private balcony and 106 suites also featuring a private balcony. For extra luxury, passengers can book one of four suites also offering direct access to the spa and its fabulous treatments.
The cruise ship offers routes from the Caribbean across the Atlantic to Europe via the Mediterranean. Departing Venice in March has to be a highlight, although checking out the beaches of St Kitts, Corfu and The Canary Islands, or the ancient splendor of Athens is another fantastic option, for those cruising on board the Costa Deliziosa.
