Charleston is smallPositiv: Everything was satisfactory. Negativ: The signage directing you were to return your call could've been better. You just park your car wherever you want, make note of the mileage and fuel. And take an elevator or stairs to the first floor and return your keys. There is nobody around.

No car available!Negativ: I never actually got a car through the Enterprise at the Charleston WV airport. I showed up at 8:30 p.m. and they told me they were out of cars and I should call back in the morning. I did that - twice, leaving messages - and never got a call back or a follow-up. Thankfully there was another Enterprise rental in the town of Charleston who had a 4wd vehicle available. I was able to rent through them, though they wouldn't match the price that I booked online. Overall a poor experience.
Refused2Rent! Out of Cars!Positiv: Nothing! Negativ: Despite my having a confirmation number! And showing up to the airport in person! Enterprise refused to rent to me – because they were out of cars! They had no explanation for why the website was still allowing cars to be booked!

How would I know the address s for a different location? I'm from NY. My rental went from 150 to $220 because no small cars were available at the airport. I feel I should get $70 refund. Plus, gas was way more expensive for large SUV
Positiv: Car was good quality and as expected Negativ: Promises from the car representative. Promised a drop off at the end of the trip which did not happen. Stated that the insurance would be for 2 rental days, but charged for 3. It was unacceptable practice.

Positiv: The priceNegativ: Got a call accusing us of damaging the car. They went back a couple of rentals and saw that the damage was done on a previous rental.
I walked around the car before I drove it off the lot and didn't see any damage. Word to the wise, it may be in your best interest to photograph all sides of the car before you ever leave the lot.
Positiv: No one is ever at the desk to give me a printed receipt. It's the second time now. It's very annoying. Also I don't get the Chevy Sonic I desire. The car I had didn't even have cruise control.

Excellent ExperiencePositiv: We had a mid-size car and were upgraded to an SUV for a really good rate. Staff was friendly, professional and very helpful.
Last time for HertzPositiv: Car was great. It was clean. Easy access at pickup. Negativ: Meetings cut short a day. Rushed back 75 miles to airport for a one day deduction. They would not credit because I prepaid in full for 2 days. Told me to call 800 number. They said same thing. Rules Rules. Rules. lol. Who reads the small print anyway. We just expect large national companies to treat us fair.
They also told me at pick up that the 3rd party insurance purcjased from Kayak wold not be accepted and I would have to pay for any damages immediately and get reimbursed.
They lost a customer. I asked them to remove me from Gold Rewards program.
My new job requires a lot of travel but I will sign up with another rental company program with southern hospitality.

Negativ: They might want to let customers know that their ticket counter in the Charleston, WV airport closes at 5 pm on Saturday. That's kind of crucial info for someone whose flight doesn't arrive till 7 pm!
Negativ: They would not give us the rental car because we used a business credit card and it didn't have our first name on the credit card. It just had our company name on it.
Pickup/dropoffPositiv: I really enjoyed the hell I received from the pickup location in Charleston, WV. Negativ: The help I received in Atlanta,GA was awful. They don't try to help at all. I was told I needed to wait my turn to get a receipt for my rental return.
