Positiv: The process was very quick and easy. I picked up the car and was on the road within 10 min. Same with the drop off.
Positiv: The car was comfortable, clean, and fuel efficient. They gave me a ride to the Metro, but it's not close to the Metro.Negativ: I was charged another day for late return. I thought I had until noon, but I picked up at 10:48AM. The location was in the basement of the Marriott with only one man working and only a couple of cars. When I arrived to return, the office was closed while the one man working there was buying his lunch.
Good Service - a few bumps in the roadPositiv: Got a brand new minivan. Service was kind and helpful.Negativ: The ezpass box was still open from the previous user so I was charged for tolls. I kept it open after the first one when I went through the full service line and it was automatically charged.
Costs really climb with taxes or any added coverage.
This experience with Budget (and rental cars in general) was a good onPositiv: I liked the ease of Kayak finding me a rental in my price range. Then, the experience with Budget was great. The day before my reservation, I had to request that my dates be change, and the very nice person at Budget (the one in the local office) was very accomodating, even though her computer showed they were low on cars. Pick up and drop off were both easy, and the rental office (While small - this was at a local Sheraton hotel), was close to my home.
The agency employee was very friendly and efficienPositiv: He was very pleasant and helpful, he even gave me directions since I was driving to my sister's house and I usually fly. When I returned the car, he was just as efficient with the paperwork and even asked if I had a nice visit with my sister. I only regret that I didn't ask his name so that I could let the company know that they've got a great employee in that office! Thanks
Major Mixup: Either Kayak or Budget Sent Me To ThePositiv: The car itself was just fine.Negativ: Either Kayak or Budget really messed up by sending me an email confirmation to a pickup location that was different from where the actual pick up location was. The Budget agent was not able to locate my reservation despite show in them my confirmation email im person. They then proceeded to rent me a vehicle at a higher price than what I had a reservation for.
Positiv: The customer service young man was extremely helpful and made the rental quick and easy.Negativ: The rental car was spotless and ran beautifully.
ConvenientPositiv: This location is convenient and close to home, better than going all the way to the airport. Daily rental rates were very reasonable. Car had average comfort.Negativ: Daily insurance rates for collision were sky high and more than the daily rental rate on the car... sort of a rip off! Car needed an oil change, wiper fluid, and one parking light was out... this should have been checked before renting the car! Car suspension also was very rough, almost like riding in a truck at times. Drop off was in a used car lot, there was not place to park, and there were no designated spaces for Enterprise cars.
Gabriel did a tremendous jobPositiv: Gabriel is the Hertz representative. He did a tremendous job of answering all my questions and providing a rental car that served my family’s needs. I upgraded to a luxury SUV and Gabriel identified a car in his inventory that offered exactly the options I needed. My family was anxious to get on the road and Gabriel expertly got us on our way in a few minutes. Gabriel was wonderful

Negativ: I ended up not renting the car so I can't comment on the drop off location.
