The renovation of this hotel is really nice. It would be nice if their was a lounge with a bar to hang out after being out during the day. no where to go except the lobby. An outdoor pool would also be nice.
This hotel was great. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I also enjoyed the hot breakfast that they served.
Comfort and security for my 18 month old and I. It was great to feed him breakfast in the morning.
Clean room. Great staff. Bed was uncomfortable, didn't sleep well. Construction noise outside all night.
Clean, convenient location, breakfast was great value Beds could be improved, very uncomfortable
I accidentally booked a smoking room, the person at the front desk easily switched me to a non-smoking room (I don't think I could have stayed if one wasn't available).
the location was excellent for my family, we have family on the north shore of long island and south shore. the hotel was very clean, staff always greeted you. we unfortunately had a 3 am wake up call from a guest that was coming from a wedding and did not take "you have the wrong room" for an answer until my husband had to get a little rude, and i also thought the room would be a bit larger.
The Hampton Inn was perfect for our needs. We visit family on Long Island and it provides us with great comfort and care. The morning breakfast tastes great and provides a variety of food that meets the dietary concerns of our family members. We stayed three nights and the main breakfast menu was different for each morning. We get a good start to the day and find it restful at night. The coffee/tea and evening cookies were delicious too. I now look for Hampton Inns when I travel.
We loved the location in the heart of port Jeff and the cute holiday decor. The room was nice and very big. The price was great. The staff was rather unprofessional. The 2 women at the front desk were having a discussion about their partying activities the night before and could barely acknowledge me when I arrived to check in. They continued their conversation throughout check in and only spoke to me when directing me where to sign and initial. It made me very uncomfortable. Also there was a lot of noise and banging from the floor above ours. It sounded like very heavy doors slamming. It's an old building so I can understand that they might not be able to do anything about it. But it might not be a good choice if you are traveling with little ones like us. Thankfully our 16 mo old and 4 year old were so exhausted from their travels that they weren't disturbed. Also their neon accent lighting is hideous and doesn't fit with the old nautical charm of the place
Room was really nice, staff very friendly, check in was easy. No hot water in shower , wife said she had warm water. when told front desk at checkout was told that probably too many were trying to take showers at same time, I'm in the heating industry, a place that size does not run out of hot water, front desk did not seem to conserned.since I was checking out.
They changed the rate on us last minute and despite the fact the I had called ahead to ask they never told us about the pet fee before hand, which was $100 for 2 nights.
The stay was overall excellent. The location was perfect right on the expressway and a very short walking distance to the restaurants and multiplex movie theater. The room was clean and the staff was nice. I enjoyed the breakfast. It was a good experience.
the pool, breakfast
Hotel was nice and updated, some areas not very clean though. Breakfast was very good and staff serving were polite and extremely helpful. Breakfast area was exceptionally clean and well organized. Slept on dirty pillow, dusty room, bad ventilation with stoves (neighbors were cooking and were gagging), pool area not maintained. Had to ask several times for towels.
Melvin is awesome, every time im in town hes very polite and accommodating to my needs...

I like that is was extended stay with families and pets. Felt more like home than hotel No
Friendly staff, lovely rooms, perfect location, felt like a home away from home. Also LA Fitness about a mile away plus movie theatres and Adventureland. My sons loved watching the planes take off and land at the adjacent airport. Nothing. It was perfect!!!
Location, rooms were clean and comfortable Hotel front office staff
Very nice, We were expecting something not great based on stars. Convenient to where we were visiting. Only one mirror in room so my husband and I could not get ready at the same time.
Staff and room and location were great. The breakfast was 5 star and plentiful. They use an airport shuttle service whose driver thinks it is okay to wake up the entire complex with his music. I had to leave my room to yell at him at 0430 am.

Convenient to the south shore. Rooms have microwaves and full fridges. Its a little more of a motel than other Marriott brands.
The room was comfortable and clean. Very ice front desk people and very accommodating. Bed was very soft and breakfast was very good also. Met some friendly people there. Love the little kitchen in there. Wish I could stay longer. I did not like that they charged for dogs. I have stated many hotels that were pet friendly for free.
Room was immaculate and well maintained. Staff was helpful and friendly, Should have a better television package. No local sports team channels. Movies are overpriced at $20.00
The room had more conveniences than we needed (microwave, refrigerator). The hotel was clean and well organized. Good value for the money and excellent location for a Long Island visit. We will definitely stay again.
It was all perfectly alright. No issues with cleanliness. The faucet was a little rickety, but worked OK. We slept well. The motel staff were helpful. My only objection is the price. I know this is New York, and it was the cheapest place to stay within reasonable distance of our destination. Still, $100 a night for a one-star motel seems excessive.
Good location I'm surprise...this hotel is listed in Kayak/Hotel.com I was shocked to see the condition of my room. Anyone else would have ran! "you get what you paid for" just doesn't cut it, it was $90 a night. The walls were dirty and full of holes. The carpet floor were utterly disgusting...dark and full of gum spots. It's was the most hideous hotel I have ever stay, and I've been to many cheaper ones. Why didn't I asked for a new room? I did, it was the least smoky room.
nothing dirty condoms in the front of the room, do i need to say more?
