Excellent landscaping makes hdtel feel rooted in the environment, even if only 18 months old. Old style elegance and comfort. You feel almost that you live in a community, which I have never found at any of the otherwise wonderful Asian hotels. Really good concept.
My wife and I were really enjoyed by this hotel, nature and we love it. We already made another booking for our anniversary next month.
A beautiful location with stunning views. Nice big rooms, helpful staff. Lots of activities can be arranged. A beautiful spot for those who want to escape the city and relax. Breakfast made with home grown produce from their garden eg: beetroot bread, strawberry jam. There are also interesting places to visit nearby eg: botannical gardens, elephant camp It would not be suitable for people who are mobility impaired, due to steep site. It is in a remote location and transport options are expensive. There are few nearby shops or restaurants so you need to be aware of this (it is not in Chiang Mai)
the location and hotel design was excellent the transpotation to city center and tourist group travel in the hotelneed to increase the activities of the tourists tour and increase the number of the transpotation from and to the hotel
this is not a 5 star hotel maximum 3 or 4 no good house
The peace and quiet. The room (Jacuzzi Villa) was stunning with a great view over the mountains. The restaurant (dinner and breakfast) was also situated over the mountains and the views were spectacular. The spa located at the bottom of the resort was also amazing and the therapists there far outshone any of the therapists we visited during our Thailand trip. The food and beverage prices were also good. The tiger zoo and elephant farm is only 10 minutes drive down the road. The location is a positive and negative. Positively you are far up the mountain and away from any noise or distractions. Negatively, it's a 45 minute taxi ride from the airport and a bit more from the city. Take mosquito repellent with you at all times. Wifi access from your room is impossible.
Liegt sehr ruhig, sehr freundlich, gut trainiertes Personal!
Amazing accomodation, wonderful atmosphere and brilliant staff..very romantic and relaxing i cant wait to come back no bar
i felt at home....
Very relaxing and a nice treat for us on honeymoon and for new years eve was disappointed with the evening meal in the restaurant, and then they had run out of fruit juices at breakfast also.
quiet, clean, pool was good there was nothing I did not like
The only redeeming feature about this hotel was the staff...excluding the Manager though. Beware!! Hotel is under construction & was noisy all day every day. We had workers walking past us as we were getting massages & absolutely no privacy - I was half naked. Water & Electricity was cut off for 1 full day. Manager, Mattias seemed unconcerned with his Guests experience - just focused on getting the new building completed!! I would not recommend staying here until 2009..if at all.
Great little hotel situated in a very calm area. Super ambiance and lovely small beautifully arranged bungalows and well integrated swimming pool. Outside bathroom and outside spa area near the pool was a good surprise. We can only recommend this place. You get priceworth taxi transport.
The quietness, the relax atmosphere even in a "busy" town as Chang Mai. The Lannai architecture and even the Wifi available... Certainly the best breakfast in that part of Thailand. The efficiency of the Front Desk people and their natural smiles. A suggestion: increase the frequency of the shuttle to move around town.
Superb hotel. Designed with taste, very clean, well maintained. Located within the old city, easy for local tours to pick you up. Walking distance from other parts of the Old Town. Very good breakfast. I would definitely stay there again. Top marks for staff for being helpful and kind.Fantastic! The only improvement I can think of is to make one PC available in the lobby for the internet as not everyone carries a laptop (Wifi is available there)
Location I booked the hotel based on the reviews, but to my disappointment, it didn't impress me. The staff is nice, the location is good, that's all I can say the good things about the hotel. The hotel is not big, the setting is okay, the room is out dated, the food is the worst Thai food I ever had. So don't eat your dinner their, the complimentary breakfast is not bad. I am glad I stayed at the hotel for only one night.
This is a beautiful resort with a lushious garden and we could enter the pool from our room which was nice. If you're looking for a romantic spot, want to get some rest and massages, and do not want to do a lot of site seeing, this is a great hotel. Our room was a litte small for a "deluxe" room. The bathroom couldn't be closed because of shutters in the door and window to the room. Since I was travelling with a friend this was pretty inconvenient. It was low season and the poolbar was closed which was a pity. The resort is located far from the city centre next to a Carrefour. All the excitement is in Chiang Mai. Taxi fees are 200 bath one way, the price is non negotiable and you have to wait 15 minutes every time you need one. Late at night it's not very simple to come back to the hotel. Prices for spa treatments are close to European prices. Since I was travelling with a friend (and not my lover) this hotel wasn't the best choice for us.
The hotel room and surroundings were very beautiful. The pool is the most magnificent one we had ever seen. breakfast, diner, lunch, roomservice were all great. The only thing we disliked about the hotel was that it was quite far from the centre of Chiang Mai, and the fact that it was so quit that it seemed that we were the obly guests in the hotel. That meant that the pool bar was not open during our stay. The hotel should make more advertisement so they have more guest for a somewhat more comfortable stay.
The hotel construction is pleasing Hotel is not a 4 star, 3 at best. Internet, Sat TV were both spotty, mattress was uncomfortable, pillows too large. Free breakfast selection was disappointingly limited, It would have been nice to have some separation from children's area instead it was noisy at times. also construction was annoying and unexpected given the price.
