Mariner of the Seas, a Voyager-class ship of Royal Caribbean International currently sails to the Bahamas for 3 and 4 night round trips from Miami via Nassau.
At 1,020 feet long, the ship carries 3,334 passengers and 1,213 crew, and has 1,667 cabins in four classes: interior rooms, staterooms with with either ocean views or balconies and suites.
With its maiden voyage in 2003, Mariner of the Seas was extensively refurbished for Summer 2018 to include the Sky Pads bungee trampoline course, Battle for Planet Z laser tag, and surf simulator. Also new is Izumi, a new Japanese restaurant and cocktail bar, Bamboo Room, and a Starbucks.
Amenities and include four pools, two water slides, ice rink, a rock climbing wall, spa and fitness center. There’s also the Perfect Storm water slide park, individual children and teens club and an adults-only pool area and arcade.
Entertainment includes ice shows, theater productions, mystery-themed dinner theater, and outdoor movies.
There are 11 dining options including Jamie’s Italian from celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, a three-floor main dining room, casual restaurants and room service, along with 9 bars and lounges.
