Scenery from the water front side room
Parking not very convenient or quite expensive
While we were checking in the head of housekeeping noticed we had a young baby and had a pack and play sent to our room within moments. It was so incredibly helpful!
A service charge and a tip were already included in the morning breakfast service. I didn't notice and tipped on top of that. It's not a big deal but I tipped much more than I would have had it not been 6 in the morning and I'd already had the coffee I ordered.
Going to the bar and seeing how expensive a drink was. Wanted to give business but was not paying $16.00 for a shot.
It was a very clean and nice room. The view overlooking the intersection of the three rivers was an added bonus. The decor was upscale and the location was great.
While the room was nice, it was fairly small. Out of all the hotels we stayed in on our recent trip, the Wyndham was by far the smallest room. There was no refrigerator, which basically comes standard in decent hotels nowadays and the bathroom was cramped. The fact that the hotel does not have any partnerships with nearby parking lots does not make a whole lot of sense either. It seems to be a fairly easy thing to set up, instead they just cut you loose to find your own parking if you do not opt for valet.
I loved that everywhere in Pittsburgh is easily reachable by walking (it might take 30min, but I loved it.) Great environment and very safe to go for dinner
Switched out of first room: hairs all over bed, bugs in shower, broken faucet and some sort of "dried viscous liquid" running down headboard After some difficulty was moved to another room Terrible mattress Room smelled of mildew and cigarettes Small Overpriced Ride staff Will not revisit
Friendly staff, location, and view.
The bed sagged considerably in the middle and the breakfast was overpriced and terrible.
Front desk staff was rude and the rooms are small...
The concierge was rude and pretended that he did not see me and other guests at his stand.
We arrived on the Fourth of July, having previously confirmed that parking with a canoe on top of the car would be no problem before making our reservation. The city had closed the road in front of the hotel and had taken over half the parking garage for 4th of July revelers. It was impossible to approach the hotel, let alone find a parking spot. After sitting there for 30 minutes, the valet finally said he would make something work, and he did, but they could not guarantee the canoes safety on a lot across town that did not belong to them. In the interim, all the 4th of July fireworks watchers were storming the lobby, and it was impossible for guests to use the restroom, and the check-in line was long. My companion had recently had major surgery and desperately needed the restroom. The staff at the front desk were not helpful at all. They suggested she try a port-a-potty outside the hotel. I asked if she could use the staff restroom as the public restroom line was too long. They said no. I finally approached a kind bellman, who took my friend to another part of the building and let her use the restroom. This hotel needs to set up security so that only guests can enter the hotel. In addition, they need to let 4th of July guests know in advance that the hotel is unapproachable and that virtually no parking is available. We ended up staying at a different hotel 11 miles away.
The location was amazing and the views were great.
Parking was expensive and there were few other options.
