The award-winning Seven Seas Mariner is one of Regent Seven Seas Cruises' Explorer-class cruise ships. In service since 2001, the 709-ft ship underwent a major refurbishment in 2014. The beautifully updated suites, restaurants and lounges cater to high-end travelers looking for a cruise with elegance and luxury.
The Mariner has myriad cruise itineraries to choose from. The 10-night Gold Rush to Golden Gate tour cruises from Vancouver to San Francisco. Shore highlights might include taking a tram to the top of Grouse Mountain in Vancouver, exploring the steep hills and beautiful Victorian homes of Astoria, nicknamed the “Little San Francisco of the Pacific Northwest”, or making it to the real San Francisco’s iconic and much-love sights, including Chinatown, Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, or even Alcatraz. If Asia is calling, the wonderful 18-night Way of the Emperors tour, from Shanghai to Tokyo, includes stops in Beijing, Kyoto and Hiroshima.
The ship carries 700 guests and a well-trained crew of 445. There are 350 suites on board, ranging from the Concierge Suite, through the Grand and Master Suites, to the sumptuous Penthouse Suite. Passengers will be able to enjoy fabulous balcony views.
Delicious cuisine is served in the casual pool grill and the Signature French restaurant. For entertainment, there is a theater, enrichment lectures, nightclub, and even a casino. Other onboard facilities include a large heated pool and two whirlpools, a fitness center with yoga and aerobics classes, well-equipped gym, and sporting facilities such as golf and tennis.
