I ordered twice the nasi goreng/friend rice because it was great ! I ordered a standard room but got upgraded to the deluxe room... which is very nice... Better ask for the deluxe room if you wish to stay there... Just to remind people that this is a homestay so we are staying with a family, in a typical balinese home which consists of a few small buildings... which is of course an experience on itself... The deluxe room was in a building apart so there was enough privacy. There is a small shop in front of the house.. so no need to walk far to get some toilleteries or snacks. I only tried one restaurant , Made Becik walking distance ... good value for money... The homestay is quite a walk from Ubud centre and it is a quiet street... which is great during daytime walks... The homestay is great to have a rest and have a different experience than "just staying in a hotel"...
I did not have enough time to check out their villa
Dag Dig Dug provides a real homestay with chances for cultural enlightenment. Good chance to practice Bahasa with people who are patient and friendly.
Loved how tranquil the area is compared to Ubud centre (no scooter noise!). Not many but great selection of cafes and local eateries around the area. Very authentic experience in Bali (there are homestays in ubud centre with better gardens but they are very big and run almost like a proper hotel. On the other hand, this place only has two rooms so it feels more homely) and also, BEST HOT WATER PRESSURE in Bali (+a big tub!), even better than hotels and villas I stayed in and the family are so friendly and willing to help.
Stay in the deluxe room. The standard room is not bad but the deluxe was wayyyy better. (I booked the standard but switched to the deluxe with paying extra after having a look at both when checking in) - I didnt like anything about this place!
personal is not helpful.room is dark and wet.
I loved this area, it is a real Bali surrounding. The family was super friendly and you can rent a bike from them
If you don’t speak Indonesian it can be difficult to communicate
