Zaandam Informationen

Über Zaandam

Launched in the year 2000, the 780-foot MS Zaandam is part of the Holland America Line fleet. It can carry up to 1,432 passengers, with a crew of about 615. Refined and traditional, it is extremely popular with mature couples, but its collection of rock'n'roll memorabilia gives younger guests something to admire, too. Passengers on the Zaandam can enjoy cruises around Central and South America. The 14-night South American voyage takes guests around the tip of the continent, from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Santiago, Chile. Along the way, visitors can see the remote Falkland Islands and explore Ushuaia, Argentina, the southernmost city in the world. An excursion to the Beagle Channel allows guests to view sea lions in their natural habitat. The Zaandam boasts 133 inside cabins, 386 outside cabins and 197 suites. There are 22 wheelchair-accessible staterooms. All cabins have a loveseat, ottoman, spacious closets and nightstands, as well as a flatscreen TV and a safe. Suites include refrigerators, whirlpool tubs balconies and, in the deluxe Penthouse Verandah Suites, separate toilet/bidet rooms and a powder room. The ship has one inside pool and two outside pools, a casino and fitness center. The stunning Greenhouse Spa is a great place to relax, with a sauna, steam room and all kinds of treatments available. Like all Holland America Line journeys, voyages on the Zaandam can be educational experiences with Microsoft Digital Workshops and specialist cooking classes. Live music, a craft instructor and kids’ clubs add to a range of fun onboard activities, as passengers cruise to each exciting location.
