Über Zuiderdam

Holland America’s Zuiderdam, a Vista-class vessel, can carry up to 1,916 passengers and 817 crew, across 11 passenger decks. The 954 foot long ship has been in service since 2002 and is popular with mature travelers. Itineraries include the 10 night Colors of Canada and New England, from Quebec City to Boston through Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and Maine as well as the 11 night round trip Panama Canal Sunfarer from Ft. Lauderdale through Aruba, Curacao, Cartagena, Colombia, Costa Rica, and the Panama Canal. The Zuiderdam has 958 cabins, and there are wheelchair accessible staterooms and suites available, and even standard cabins have a bathtub. All cabins follow the ship's color code of gold, blue and red, and provide both European and American outlets. There are spacious closets, nightstands, a vanity with a chair, and a flat-screen TV. Passengers staying in suites have large balconies, walk-in closets, complimentary binocular and umbrella use, and a laundry service. Activities feature partnerships including cooking workshops with America’s Test Kitchen, nature-oriented programming from BBC Earth Experiences, live classical music from the Lincoln Center Stage, and B.B. King’s Blues Club.
