Back to front boarding works, drop a lot of the prepared categories to Wheelchair, babies, military and 1st class, then board back to front, it works. had difficulty seeing phone to get free wifi, the items you need to check need to be in bigger font.

The flight back was good. The flight there was horrible with a 16 hour delay. Loss of 1 day of vacation with Kayak representatives providing almost no assistance or care for resolution of the issues faced. We hoped to make up for the day's loss but neither Kayak nor BA helped. We were told to deal with it or seek refund weeks after booking and prices for other airlines had gone up.

Boarding in Heathrow was a total mass due to staff shortages. 3 out of 4 flight legs were delayed, some considerably. Food is as always mediocre, but plentiful. IFE is a bit dated with imo poor movie choices. Cabin staff was always amazing, friendly and helpful. Always available and smiling, even through the mask. Very clean lavatories and comfortable seats in business, although the product does feel a little dated by now.

I fly British Airways because they have convenient timings not because I’m expecting competence or comfort. Typically mediocre check in speed and flight punctuality. Old and tired planes. Oh well hopefully more choice will open up soon. And then it’s goodbye BA.

Delayed flight, no information as to why, more standing on the runway with no information and after landing, more delays with security gates not working. Just a shambles, lack of communication and lack of customer care.

Seats were very comfortable (much better than Virgin Airbus 330) and plenty of legroom. Food was better than on previous flights and drinks service was good - shame they ran out of wine, Bacardi and gin towards the end of the flight though! Liked the automated bag drop at Gatwick, much quicker and plenary of staff in case there were any issues."

Negativ: "Gate agent refused to let me carry on a suitcase that I have carried on dozens of flights (this specific suitcase) and I understand overhead limitations (I have more than 4 million air miles just between United and American Airlines). This was an A320 and I was about #10 getting on the flight. Space was not an issue. This added an hour to a 25 hour day to wait for luggage at LAX. And BA gives the agents an edge in that their test fixture has rounded corners to that a 22 inch suitcase that has hard square edges at the bottom (or wheels that make it square) won't fit in it. So the agent just points that it doesn't fit and you have to check. I was not happy from Paris to London."

This delay prevented us from making our connection to our next flight and now we are staying in a mediocre hotel for the night and have to wake super early and miss a day of fun at our final desitination. In general I would just move on, but we heard the customer service agent reference that they over booked the two flights to Rome. I guess we were the u lucky customers x two flights because we didn’t get a standby seat in the next flight then the prior agent gave us positive hope that we would get on. Lesson- make sure you have at least 3 hours between connecting flights."

Moral: Don't try for transfer times less than 2+ hours in Frankfurt when coming from the States no matter what United/Lufthansa says!"

We weren’t able to get food at the Munich airport because we had to go through a second passport control just before the gate, and there was no food. The automatic snack machine only took Euro coins and not bills or credit cards. Then the crew was a little snippy and unfriendly. Not a great experience overall."

I finally found what was needed (after being sent through the line and patted down this time!) and I ran back to the gate to be the last person on the plane. It was nerve wracking to say the least. Also my son's video touch screen was not working properly. I realize that it is hard to keep these operating well, with all the use they get, but it was annoying as this happened on the flight over as well."

Luggage retrieval frustrated by problems or incompetence and finally located at an undesignated conveyor area. No kudos to IAD. All kudos to Lufthansa/UAL. One Exception was my ‘by chance’ immigration agent who for the first time ever for me at IAD said “welcome home” as he waved me on."
