The Virgin team seemed unconcerned and showed NO sense of urgency to try and get people rebooked. Their solution was to rebook everyone on an evening flight the next day. If a passenger was only going to London, that was probably fine. But for people with connecting flights -- or like me with multiple connecting flights -- that wasn't acceptable."

During the flight I was told there was no such request in their records and therefore I had to stay hungry for the entire duration of the flight. During my return flight from LHR to LAX the in flight entertainment system for my seat was not functional. I requested it to be reset several times and in spite of the hostess resetting it several times, it did not function. I had to stay without an entertainment system during the entire flight. This was my first time travel with Virgin Atlantic. I may never fly Virgin Atlantic again."

Negativ: "I had a problem getting a boarding pass that was a carryforward from a problem that I had had on the flights from the USA to Frankfort 2 weeks earlier. On those flights, I was denied boarding on the flight from Amsterdam to Frankfort because of miscommunication between Delta and KLM. Apparently, the staff who dealt with that problem did not note that the issue had occurred, so it looked like there were "out-of-sequence" segments on my initial flight and I was not allowed to check in electronically. It took several calls to KLM and Delta in Frankfurt to try to resolve the problem and finally it was determined that it could only be resolved at the airport. Other than a very nice KLM representative, the other people I talked to seemed unwilling to engage in helping me and sent me along to someone else. Although the problem was ultimately fixed, this was not a great customer service experience."

The cost difference to take a flight later the same day was exorbitant (over a $500 additional cost to the price of the original ticket) so we elected to fly back to SAV two days later. I do not understand how airlines can get away with charging such exorbitant ticket prices--these prices should be regulated!"

The earbuds I was given didn't work, my own didn't work, apparently the seat I was in has a connectivity issue, so the sound kept blasting in and out and was horrible. I had to hold the connector in the seat. The food option was non-existant once the cart came to me, the only option was chicken, which was horrible. Overall, I was not impressed with the service or flight ...."

From being in the basement, to bathrooms not being in good condition ( doors not shutting, out of tolet paper in multiple stalls, and the appearance not being to standard), the convince store only having one cashier and then a second jumping on to help after answering a personal phone call. Im not even going to complain that my flight took off an hour and a. Half late because the other issues are more upsetting. I'm usually not one to complain but I was very disappointed with my delta experience. I choose delta because I like it more than other airlines but after this experience I don't want to fly delta anymore."

Negativ: "When I asked whether the snack was vegan I got the answer "It's a wrap". When I ordered tomato juice I was forgotten and did not get anything. There were no vegan snacks on each of the flight, but I guess that would be too much to wish for ;)"

Negativ: "Our flight was canceled from Amsterdam to Bordeaux and did not receive any direction and had to find alternate flights for ourselves with the personal expense of using our own cell phones. Then our luggage lost for 3 days. Not happy! We ended up flying from Toronto to Paris then to Bordeaux. Lost my upgrade money for seats. Now have to deal with KLM for refund!"

Alle nass ins Flugzeug. Aber, das liegt natürlich an der Abfertigung in Birmingham und nicht an KLM."

The entertainment system didn't work (on the whole plane, for the duration of the whole flight) - no movies and no shows. The wifi could have been offered for free to enable people to entertain themselves through computers and tablets, but was not done so. Instead we were reminded that it is available (for a price of course)."

They did and the matter was eventually resolved, and I am awaiting my bags now at the place where I am staying."

Luckily there was a free seat elsewhere, and she changed seats before we took off."

This is exactly why people don't like checking their bags. There is no care for other people's belongings. It's bag enough you're packed on these flights like sardines and then you have to worry about receiving your property back the way you gave it to them. Placed a claim, but meanwhile I had to purchase new luggage for my return trip."

Negativ: "The kiosk didn't work and sent us to check-in from which they couldn't figure out why the tickets wouldn't work. There was only one attendant at the ticket counter for the entire airline. And finally when the problem was finally resolved we nearly missed the flight; despite being there nearly 2 hours early."

Negativ: "I was refused a seat assignment until minutes before boarding. Blocking seats on the excuse of "special needs travelers is not acceptable to other customers who booked in advance and have already paid the fare. Also, I got my seat assignment notification email after I was already on the plane. That wasn't helpful."

Negativ: "Flight was delayed, first because we had to wait forever for fuel. It was really hot on the plane while we waited. It would have been better to wait for the plane to be fueled, or at least started fueling, before boarding. Then we sat and waited in the backed up line for takeoff. It was miserably hot."

Negativ: "As an American Executive Platinum member, I received no special recognition or welcome while traveling in the economy section of the plane."

Positiv: "well it did get us to our destination eventually"
Negativ: "The flight was over and over delayed due to no captain would be available. In the end the flight was leaving 4 hours late and no compensation like free food voucher would be offered. We were hungry and they let us wait the last 40min in the plane until the finally could find a co-pilot. No information was offered to the passenger as to when we would be leaving"

Positiv: "It was actually to Philly, because AA cancelled my original connecting flight out of DC."
Negativ: "On the flight back home, AA cancelled my connecting flight, and did not bother to notify me, even though I have my account set up for them to notify me of flight changes. If not for the Kayak app on my phone, I would have flown to an airport where I may well have been stranded for hours, if not the following day, for a flight that no longer existed, since I had already checked-in on-line and would have gone directly to my first flight. Thanks to flight status monitoring by Kayak, I got an email from Kayak telling me that the flight was cancelled before I left for the airport so that I could go to an AA desk. They were particularly unhelpful and uninformed, and it was only sheer luck that I was able to get on the first flight I was on stand-by. I know this sounds like a commercial, but put the Kayak app on your smartphone and don't travel without it. AA will quite happily leave you stranded without it!"
