Positiv: "It was a decent train ride."
Negativ: "Stating it’s a train from the beginning and not having to go from one train station to another."
Positiv: "There is a nothing to mention that was memorable or comfortable."
Negativ: "I asked for an upgrade as we are on our honeymoon. The ground staff only wanted to get us on the plane and not try in anyway to recognize us. Our seats were very poor quality, you should immediately replace them! I would have rather stood than sit on the flight. The in flight entertainment is so poor. Absolutely disappointing especially with the head sets not working because of poor ports of connection. The food was absolutely tragic. You should fire your catering company. I expect more from your airline and I was disappointed all the way through. I hope you can provide my wife and I better service and an upgrade when we fly back to Washington DC on Flight AF 0054 from CDG to IAD. I work in the luxury hotel sector, and even the door men and room attendants have more autonomy to wow our guests. Flying AF does not want me to spend any more money with your airline in the future."

I had to stand for about 50 minutes, either on the crowded bus or, after climbing with great difficulty three flights of stairs to a high jet-bridge (I am 76), standing there forever with 200 persons waiting to get access to the plane. Totally unacceptable. They started the boarding process early (50 minutes before departure), but passengers were allowed to actually board the plane at the time it was supposed to take off."
Negativ: "Die Bestuhlung der Business Class in der Boeing 777 ist unbequem. Es gibt wenig Ablagemöglichkeiten. Die Anordnung ist 2-3-2, und die Fensterplätze und der mittlere Sitz hat keinen Zugang zum Gang. Man muss bei diesen Sitzen die Nachbarn belästigen. Finde ich gelinde gesagt suboptimal."

Negativ: "Awoke to find ill man laying on floor in aisle next to me with oxygen. Shortly after... Passenger in seat near man on floor (diabetic but no one tells us anything) needs to lay across four seats with oxygen for heart issues for remainder of trip with staff and doctor on board nearby. Nevdr informed what was happening, never offered to move our seats or move iIl passengers. Glad all turned out ok. Could have given them more privacy and better informed other passengers."
Negativ: "Departure time was almost 2 hours late and the communication of the cabin crew regarding this issue was poor. Almost an hour went by without an update."

Negativ: "Some of the shows and movies were a bit 'trashy'. Long flight. I was in the middle seat next to an inattentive octanegarian who was nice but kept calling the flight crew to fix her mess up of the video system. No air controls on this plane - so it was overly warm. 10 hours of overly warm makes for a stinky passenger. Oof."

Negativ: "Entertainment screen did not work; in neighboring seat it could not be switched off when we wanted to sleep; sourly employees everywhere (re-booking counter an exception); food close not being edible and cold; I forgot my watch on when going through security in the Air France terminal; when I started to say "sorry" I was yelled at by the screener who said that she will do the talking; she sent me back through the scanner twice without my watch, then once more with the carry-on and made sure that I went to the end of a very long line to wait for another screening rather than having me just go through the scanner without my watch. Needless to say, there was nothing else suspicious about me once the watch was removed. Eager to exercise her power, the security person did not seem to consider that she slowed down a long line of people waiting to be screened. I should add that I am 73 yrs old grey haired female who has traveled a lot both for pleasure and business during my entire life, often to some difficult places and that I do not argue with or provoke those in power in a situation like this. The yelling and the sending me repeatedly through the scanner, which did not beep once the watch was removed, was beyond anything I had experienced anywhere else. The sending me to the very end of the line seemed outright spiteful. (I did miss the plane connection.)"
Positiv: "The entertainment screen was a small 4" screen. The movie selection was outdated. The screen in my seat did not work. Flight attendant said she would "call to have it reset" but it never worked. Fortunately, there was an adjacent empty seat that I moved to on my own initiative and without the flight attendant offering a seat change."
Positiv: "Ground crew at CDG was helpful to file a claim for the lost luggage."
Negativ: "Ground crew at MXP Was inexperienced. She called every one in my flight to form a new line and it was immediately total chaos. And then they lost one of our luggages!"
Negativ: "Canceled flight—absolutely no notification. Convoluted rebooking in whcuhbhey lies to us about what flights we were actually on. Spent a couple hours at Delta rebooking our trip. Lost prepaid night at hotel and dinner eaecatuon plus day of vacation."
Positiv: "The crew was super friendly and always gave the feeling that they want the customers to feel comfortable and enjoy the flight. One of the crew members even offered me to move to an emergency exit seat (without me asking to move) because I am tall. Amazing!"

Positiv: "I really liked the layout of the seats in Economy. Very comfortable. Didn’t seem like a huge crowded section, and very good service and movie selection. Also bathrooms were very clean. Food service also very good!"
Positiv: "China Southern has an excellent and attentive staff, very friendly and responsive. The boarding process is smooth with very little complications. There was full meal service for this 2 hour flight. This was a decent meal as far as I am concerned."
Negativ: "Bangkok to Guangzhou, the Airbus 380 jet used for regional flights feels a little like a tightly packed sardine can, I guess thats to be expected for a Southeast Asian regional flight."
Positiv: "The flight-staff was super co-operative when I told that I didn't select the vegan / veg food option in advance. They tried to to do their best to ensure that I still get some veg food to eat. In general also, I found that the flight-staff was the best."
Negativ: "I am not sure how it happened, but I never got a chance to select meal when I did the booking. Probably because the booking was from third-party site but then again, when one clicks on "Book", the third-party site directs to airline site only."
Positiv: "Had some last minute changes and had to cancel the flight. Even though the 24 hour cancellation period had long passed, we had no problem getting a full refund from China Southern. The phone waiting time was pretty long, but they were very courteous and helpful. Would use this airline again if anything for their customer service."

Negativ: "Crew was pretty curt and not polite. They also 'didn't have time' to load my bag onto the plane, along with ~15 other people. I had to wait two days for it to arrive. 'No time' to load bags is kind of an odd and slightly unacceptable reason to not load baggage onto a plane. Airlines close check-in for flights 30 mins before departure time to ensure that all bags make it onto the plane. I was 3 hours early. Don't know why they 'didn't have time'. They also broke my friend's bag."
Negativ: "My luggage went missing. It’s very disappointing. I was ensured that my luggage would not be affected by the delay of the previous flight. This ruined my first day in Bangkok."

Negativ: "Seats aren't very spacious; not much leg room and doesn't recline much. Luckily I'm a petite person, but I can imagine if I was of average height or taller/heavier I'd be uncomfortable. Food is mediocre. Airline food isnt great in general but I've had better on an airline."
Positiv: "We departed 50 minutes late but still arrived on time. Great entertainment options made the flight go by quickly (also, slept for the first half). It's not super comfortable in economy, but it's completely fine for economy and you get what you pay for. Attendants were also reasonably nice, nothing that stands out good or bad. We got the Asian vegetarian meal and it was pretty good for airplane food -- two Indian-style meals served at either end of the flight."
Negativ: "Not much to complain about. I think people forget that if you're paying $700 for an economy roundtrip to a Tier 2 city in China (SFO - CKG), this is a great deal and a very decent delivery overall."
Positiv: "I was very thankful that the airline made a special effort to help its non-Chinese customers get through customs once in China."
Negativ: "The Guangzhou airport is a bit of a disaster. However, that's not the fault of the airline."

Negativ: "Not much to add, that was already said. The sits were mostly hard board, very uncomfortable on such a long flight. The food , ha, definitely, unacceptable. And the morning meal, was given too short a time to eat it. Bad for one's digestion. Very hard if not impossible to reach them for check-in, either via web, not phone. Left only to the counter check-in and hope for the best, as specially, when you have more then one travelling."

Negativ: "Little to choose in meals and unable to select this when booking the flight for vegetarian option. Very cramped and uncomfortable. IFE and offered nursing services but crew very poor English to communicate ...more concerned I had to find identification rather than get to person in trouble...then was not needed as someone else in lower deck was already present...frustrating"
Positiv: "The cabin crew were quick to answer all of my requests. Blanket, coffee, coke, water."
Negativ: "We had a bulkhead behind us and our seats didn't seem to have the full angle for recline."
Positiv: "I liked the extra leg room that I received with the upgraded seat due to my Skymiles affiliation. The crew far exceeded any American airliner. Food was good. Wasn't my favorite but it was a good meal considering what you would receive on other Airliners."

Negativ: "I Had a horrible experience with both my flight to Thailand and back to the US. On my way there, there were 2 women involved in heated verbal altercation ( although I do not understand Chinese but their tone of voice and body language speak for itself ). The stewardess did not do anything to defuse the situation. It took another passenger to offer to switch seat with one of the woman. Then came a toddler crying all the way to China. The horrible part of the thailand flight was that I was not being inform in San Francisco that I had to pick up my luggage , check in to get my boarding pass and then go through custom again. I know I should not be complaining considering the cheap fare, but I still expected a little more from this airline."

Negativ: "vegetarian meals were not great, but as expected for airline food no soap in any of the airplane bathrooms"
Positiv: "Few people know you have the option to upgrade with China Southern airline onboard. You can get a much more comfortable seat (premium economy) for 150 to 250 dollars. It's totally worth it for long international flights to China!"
Negativ: "I had missed my flight. I went to get another as it was urgent I arrived the next day. After hours, I was assured I would have a flight the next day at no charge. The next day I was screamed at in line and told to leave. The only other flight available was three thousand dollars one way. I missed my appointment and purpose of the trip. I had to wait another day and pay over 850 dollars one way."
Negativ: "They lost one of my bags with lots of very important stuff in it and despite the tracking code they have no idea where ti is and have conceded they will probably not find it and refuse to reimburse me for the extra fees I had to pay for it saying "the extra fee was not a guarantee you would receive your bag". Worst airline I have ever flowm"
Positiv: "The flight attendants were nice even they didn't really speak well English."
Negativ: "The crew didn't speak very good English. I flew 2 times with Air China Southern for 9h45 and 12hours and during the 2 flights, I only ate 2 times each, no snacks, no drinks during the flights, just a meal at the very beginning and the very end."
Positiv: "Aircraft was in perfect condition. Clean and the boarding was surprisingly orderly. The disembarkation is a total zoo and the airline would be fined big-time in the USA if they allowed the passengers to move around the cabin while taxiing."
Negativ: "The gate agents do a poor job of communicating delays caused by China's ridiculous Air Traffic Control system. If you don't use the free WiFi at the airport, you are uninformed/blind. Also, the Flight Attendants do not enforce the seat belt sign when taxiing. I don't accept that we should write this off as cultural differences. This is a major safety hazard and they need to step-up and enforce the regulations."
Negativ: "Chicken in our meal had gone bad. Crew very apologetic. Then the plane was terribly hot and crew kept making excuses and the problem was never resolved. Faucet in the bathroom sprayed everywhere. One of the worst flights I've ever taken but not so off the mark for Chinese carriers"
