Very average breakfast sold as "continental" (during Covid19 pandemic so understandable but could of lowered price). Would of been very confortable but no AC or not working at least, very hard to sleep in those conditions, unacceptable for the price paid and for the false advertisement of AC available...

It's clean and we liked the location. Not in the centre but closeby and easy accessible with tram. People at breakfast were kind and helpful.

We asked for quiet connecting rooms but in the morning construction work right under our windows already started at 6 - even on a Saturday. I told the lady at the desk and she said there were no other connecting rooms available on the other side. I gave her the suggestion she should at least tell us next time but she kept interrupting and repeating there were no other rooms available. Zero understanding. Also, the beds are rather hard and the cusions are no good.

We did a booking reserve for two adults and two kids and when we arrived they had only the reservation for two adults. Staff in the reception was really rude accusing us of the problem. When I showed them the booking email he answered that it was booking problem but not theirs. At the end they gave us two connected rooms but I want to underline the rudeness and little customer service of the reception staff. Also next morning the waitress at the restaurant didn’t explained anything about how the breakfast was being served instead she was quite grumpy.

The breakfast.

The food choice and quality of the food at dinner. The pillows and blanket felt very thin and flimsy.

The price is to high for the quality of the hotel. Specially when you have to pay extra for parking and breakfast. For the next time I check for an alternative.

I initially made a mistake and booked a non changeable fare. I called immediately the hotel to tell them I had made a mistake and they were very unhelpful to the point of accusing me to want to ‘circumvent’ the rules etc etc. so unnecessary and impolite.

We booked at this Novotel (rooms and a meeting room for a day) because a colleague needed access to a wheelchair. We contacted the hotel beforehand and they confirmed a wheelchair was available. However, upon arrival we were informed the wheelchair was broken and there was none other available. The initial reaction from the reception staff was "sorry, it is broken". When I asked for the manager, his initial reaction was the same. He told us the wheelchair had a flat tyre and there was no other wheelchair, even at the other Novotels in Luxembourg. He did not instill confidence when he said only "he would see what he could do". When I impressed upon him that we really needed a wheelchair and he needed to find one he replied "what do you want me to do about it? I cannot make a wheelchair out of thin air!" For Anglophones it is almost incomprehensible that a hotel manager would speak like this to any customer, let alone an invalid customer who has specifically confirmed the availability of a wheelchair beforehand. But it is a fairly typical Francophone reaction to being pressed. He did infact go and find a wheelchair (I believe he went and rented a brand new one) and delivered it to us in the meeting room. He did actually find a solution to the problem. I would like to thank Lucas the manager for that. It was a shame that we had to have somewhat of an altercation at reception in the first place. Perhaps it would have been easier if staff had simply initially promised to solve the problem and find a wheelchair for us. But I suspect there were definitely cultural differences at play.

Location

I have booked extra bed for second person and was not prepared. There was also one blanket and towel. After letting reception about this, they were just ignoring me.

The room was spacious and although the hotel was apparently new the furniture and the wall-to-wall carpet seemed all. The bathroom was clean but the shower screen didn’t work well since there was a lake in the bathroom after taking a shower. The breakfast was very good but had different prices during working days (€21) than during weekends (€16,50).

We spent there 3 nights, from Friday to Monday. On Sunday we left the room at 10h30 and returned at 16h and the room was not cleaned up. We went to the reception to claim and they said that there was nothing abnormal, that they can clean rooms from 8am to 8pm. This is the first time in my live that I heard something like this. I imagine returning after a working day tired and finding my room as I left it in the morning and will feel absolutely disappointed so unfortunately I’ll will not return.

Location is in business district with a lot of construction going on. Very clinical business mans hotel not really suited to our 3 generation family holiday

Basic but clean and functional

A couple of nice touches - safe, mini fridge, accessible power points, coffee (instant). The breakfast buffet is good, but fully priced - no bargain.

Feels as though every penny of cost has been squeezed out - as a result it seems functional but not at all a “treat” to be there. The rates are quite high to take advantage of business people going to EU organisations within walking distance. Note: a major building project has turned a 3-minute walk to ECJ or EIB into a 20- minute walk. There is some construction noise (both within the hotel and from neighbouring construction).
