Amazing place to stay. We received an upgrade room with sea view, which was just incredible. Made our stay even better. Staff is completely prepared, breakfast was great, close to the beach.

Very good town to base our visit in the area. 10 minutes, easy taxi ride of about 10 € from Lagoa and Marinha beach. We walked from Marinha beach back to hotel along the trail, excellent experience. Oh, and the orange on the counter was very sweet and a blessing for traveling guests, thank you.

The bathtub plug didn’t work so we wouldn’t took a bath after the long hike.

Overall a great experience excellent helpful staff definitely be back.

We stayed for three nights, a one night stay and a two night stay, we had room 201 which was a real sea view, it had two balcony’s, Very comfortable, which is why we requested the same room for our second stay, the breakfast is excellent, everything was quality, but I must add and I have not marked the hotel down for it, I was not impressed with the use of plastic cups in the room, they are not nice to drink out of, My only complaint

The Carvoeiro Plaza Hotel is ideally located adjacent to Praia do Carvoeiro. Some of its 54 rooms face the beach and ocean and others overlook the swimming pool. The hotel's location, in the centre of the village, puts it close to several restaurants and shops. Algar Seco is just a 10 to 20 minutes clifftop boardwalk, with stunning scenery and ocean views, which starts with a fairly steep climb to the left of the hotel entrance. I liked the hotel buffet breakfast. All of the hotel staff I met were welcoming and efficient.

I liked the hotel buffet breakfast - Buta welcome improvement would be a plate warmer - warm plates for hot food being my personal preference.

An excellent choice including hot food very well laid out......and you can make your own toast !

It’s been updated and much better than before the staff were lovely and ad it was Valentine’s Day we had rose petals on the bed with the swans made from Towels really thoughtful

Staff were all very helpful, polite and friendly. Breakfasts were good. Location very convenient and good view of the beach from our balcony. Stylish, simple, modern decor.

Liked the the new decor especially all the old black and white fishing photos.

Bit of noise from a nearby bar but to be expected because of the location on main square but plus side is you are so close to beach.

Hot & cold breakfast included within the price, reception always manned friendly & polite the rooms have been refurbished to a very good standard also the hotel is in the process of building a roof terrace/bar which will have fantastic views out to sea. One point to note there is a bar across the road from the hotel called Sullys and the clientele can be noisy at times.

The room was a bit tired & old. The bathroom had no ventilation & needs upgrading. The scent smell was too strong - we unplugged & put outside as it was making us feel sick.

Noisy room as overlooked the town and double glazing didn’t keep out the night time noises. Bathroom a little scruffy and dated but everything worked well. Hair dryer needed replacing - ineffective

The beds were very comfortable. We prefer to take showers and the one in our bathroom was like ours at home. We had a balcony sea view room and enjoyed the views. The staff were very friendly.

location is right in the centre of all the local activity, therefore is busy and noisey area right up until midnight every day of the week. During the summer there is a stage built on the beach nearby and load music plays every night until midnight. its great at times, but can become a bit intrusive as it can be heard inside the hotel bedrooms. Just to make customers aware of this fact.

Stay in hotel many times, since new owners much better presented rooms breakfast 200% better you drink coffee pool area better chairs and good service at bar with a ideal menu for lunch quick good and served with a smile. Will be back later this year.

The staff is amazing, everyone! They're friendly, helpful and polite. And the wifi that didn't have in the rooms, was installed while we were there. On the last day, our flight was super early, so the team prepared a coffee before the kitchen to open

Excellent stay here! We were upgraded to the sea view room which gave us a lovely view of the beach as well as a balcony where we could sit and enjoy the events happening in the square during the evening. The location was perfect, just a one minute walk to the beach and there are many shops and restaurants in the area. The pool was clean, the breakfast was decent, and the staff were kind and courteous the entire stay!

The bathroom could use a bit of an update, but overall good!

The hotel is situated in the perfect spot in town close to everything you would need. It is a bit noisy from the square as there is live music until 12 but it didnt bother us. The staff were all very friendly. You can use parasols and chairs for free to use on the beach! Towels €20 returnable deposit. The breakfast was acceptable. The room was clean and had a minibar where you can put your own drinks and snacks. If visiting carvoiero again i would stay here again.

Fantastic location for stay . Everything is so accessible from the hotel in walking distance . Decent breakfast was served .Loved the parties around and the options for good food open till 1am.

Breakfast was very good,a varied choice of cooked and continental.The hotel was right next to the beach and close to all amenities.We ate in some very nice restaurants most within a 10 minute walk,a lot were less than that.The pool was well maintained and the rooms although small had comfortable beds and powerful shower.Maid service was daily.

The staff were fantastic, you get a welcome drink voucher in arrival, they offer guests chairs for the beach and couldn't do more for us. The location is perfect, rooms were fresh, nicely decorated and a decent size. The showers were fantastic and the breakfast was brilliant. I'd stay here again if I ever visited Carvoeiro again.

The only fault with this hotel is the that if you have a sea view, your balcony faces the main square which has a stage on it by the beach and there's loud music being played until midnight. Honestly not the end of the world but it did mean it was difficult to get to sleep as you could hear it very clearly, like it was playing in your room. So if you're staying with kids or a light sleeper ask for a room that isn't facing the square.

It was very noisy at night as the hotel is so close to the centre. Possibly a room at the back of hotel would be quieter. Also a very limited number of Sun loungers available.

Love this hotel. Located across from the beach and restaurants all around. Some of the rooms have been upgraded which we had with sea view. They are working on upgrading all rooms and extending wifi too as it's only available in reception. The hotel provide beach chairs and parasol free of charge. The breakfast is pleasantly adequate too. Reception staff are very pleasant and helpful as are the staff at breakfast.

No real issues with the Hotel. All was to our satisfaction.

The location was right on the beach with a super nice view. Can’t beat that. They also gave my husband a bottle of wine for his birthday and 2 drink vouchers for their bar.

Very nice and lively Hotel with an outstanding location few steps to the beach. Good breakfast, newly renovated rooms with very confortable beds. Suites with balcony with amazing views to the beach and the main square.

Just the early noises from the renovations that were taken place, but i think this will stop soon. For some travellers it could be annoying the live sound from the main square that doesn´t stop until midnight. This is probably only in high season.

Bar not always open?

The bed is as quite comfortable. The breakfast was good. The room and overall property was clean. There was parking available which was a plus in an otherwise difficult area for cars.

The room appeared to be recently remodeled but very small. Whoever designed the room put a window where the door to the veranda should be and vice versa. They had to put an access door in the bathroom! Big boo boo. The hair dryer didn’t work. We were there in July and the pool bar was not open although it was full with guests. The lounge chairs were nice but needed cushions or they were unbearable to lay on and there weren’t enough cushions for all the loungers.

Breakfast could have been better,hot food only lukewarm.Choice of fruit limited at breakfast. Handrails on both sides of all steps would be helpful especially going to pool.Very limited number of cushions for sun loungers ie 6:20.No socket to plug in kettle unless you unplugged fridge.

The hotel staff were attentive, but not intrusive. Comfortable room, great sea view. Nice private balcony and terrace with room. Good breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay. As in centre of town was a bit noisy in the evening, but near the beach restaurants and entertainment, so you expect that. Small pool, but nicely decorated and furnished room. Would definitely go again.

The breakfast was good, the position was excellent, the advice for dinner at "O Patio" being just in front of the Hotel was superb, as it was the dinner itself. One of the best cataplana de peixe, ever.

There were no problems during our stay. It was a bit noisy at times as we had a sea view balcony which also looked down on the street, but it was quiet by midnight until 8 in the morning.

Hotel staff, breakfast and facilities scored very highly When new terrace and bar facility is completed the hotel will have a lovely meeting place for guests and visitors

Whole package very good value

Most of the hotel has recently been refurbed ( pool area, breakfast room & most of the rooms ). If you have stayed there before and thought it looked a little tired then go stay again, it's totally a different hotel.

Sun loungers on the pool are a little hard and could benefit from all having padded cushions, there are some there but not for every bed.

Hotel is definitely more than a 7.5 on ratings. Would say a 9 only slight problem was no internet in rooms but this will be rectified soon. Everything first class will definitely be going back soon.

Located right in the heart of Carvoeiro. The lady in the reception I forgot her name she was outstanding. Very helpful. I would suggest this property to people who would like to visit.

A great holiday

A bit noisy but ok

The staff are very friendly nothing to much trouble, the hotel is under going refurbishment and is looking great look forward to seeing it in September when everything is completed. The Hotel is a great base for exploring Portugal’s coastline either by car or walking

Hotel manageress was extremely helpful, and a newly refurbished room, with sea view was absolutely fantastic,. Would highly recommend staying here, very clean and you could not have a better location.

The location of the Hotel is good-right in the middle of Carvoeiro with easy walk to eating places, coastal walk and local beach. The atmosphere at the hotel is pleasant and the staff are friendly. I was welcomed to breakfast every morning. It was nice to have air con as well as patio doors to the pool area. Some rooms still need upgrading and I expect this is why I got such a good price! The car park is small and probably gets full in the summer.

The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment and my room needed attention to the shower fitting and the air con (which leaked water)-this was planned to happen soon! I could only get wi-fi signal in the foyer (a comfortable space, but less convenient than using my lap top in my room) I have said that local beaches are good, but the best ones are a mile or two outside Carvoeiro, so you'd need a car or taxi to access them.
