Very good
Lovely pool and the suites are large
Slightly drainey smell around the complex
Good staying
The place is very nice. With a breathtaking view. But Bcz of the COVID was not many things to do. Even the indoor pool was closed.
Only Bcz the apt are quite old and has a smell of old place. The breakfast was poor.
Very good suite, very nice...
1. Bed in the room was fantastic 2. entire suite was beautiful and nice. 3. Wifi worked super well good for a "homestay" away from home. 4. Bathroom was fabulous and nice as expected. 5. Quality of the food in the Restaurant (diner) and service by the staff. 6. Very good bed in the room. 7. The view from our suite was magical and beautiful
1. Some equipment in the kitchen didn't work like Dishwasher. 2. Prices of wine were double compared to other equal hotels in the Algarve. 3. Spa was closed due to Covid. 4. Outside pool was not heated. 5. Breakfast was not that good for compared to other 5* hotels that we stayed at in Portugal. (since others can I Covid is in my opinion not an excuse for this)
Fabulous and super clean
Beautiful property, amazing scenery, staff especially Wilson who was extremely helpful and attentive. Our apartment was spacious and comfortable! The salt water infinity swimming pool was wonderful. The beach is small and beautiful but we could not swim because of the high waves and its being close to rocks. Generous Breakfast delivered to the room . Enjoyed our stay tremendously. Thank you again Winston.
The road to the property quite narrow but in the end we got used to it! A car is necessary.
Excellent water but medium conditiions...
Very efficient staff. Admirable salted water swimming pool. Marvellous environement, including Albandeira beach.
Old furniture, hard matresses for a 5 star resort. Medium breakfast.
Superb
Staff such as Vitor were super friendly and helpful. Everyone was on top of their game in respect of covid-19 measures. Spotless with lots of sanitiser etc everywhere. Food and service in the restaurant was excellent. The buffet breakfast was actually delivered to our room due to covid measures. Fabulous location with a lovely but small beach. If you fancy eating out elsewhere then you need a car.
Nice location and friendly staddf
Very nice staff, excellent food and wine at the restaurant (although choice was too limited) and location in a fairly quiet, wild area of the cost. Relatively small hotel as well, making the overall facilities quite relaxing and enjoyable
We fully understand the issues and constraints in relation with COVID. It's been a dramatic development for the hospitality business.. However at times it seems too much of an excuse for the downgraded service. Why not breakfast at the restaurant (no buffet of course but it would be served at the table)? Why permanently close the fitness center? It would be easy to set up a booking system Why keep the open bar area permanently close? Tough task for the hotel management of course, but unfortunately it really downgrades the overall experience Another, unrelated COVID comment: too many small kids continuously at the pool, which rapidly becomes a pain in terms of noise
Exceptional
The location of this property is fantastic and the view still makes you catch your breath even on the last day of holiday. It is very quiet making it a relaxing choice and some of the country’s most beautiful beaches are a short stroll away. It caters for families extremely well and the two bed apartments are very spacious.
The restaurant provides some delicious food and the staff are very friendly but you have to be a bit patient as service can be slow and the menu is slightly limited. Breakfast is delivered to your room but some things are missed in translation when you order through the forms each day. We expected some teething problems like this though as it must have been a very tough time for the hotel and it didn’t affect the quality of our stay at all.
Very good
View/location, outdoor pool, accommodation. Friendly staff at restaurant, pool area. Quiet. Beautiful gardens.
Upon check out they insisted they have not received any payment from Booking.com, while of course such payment was made well in advance in full. It was very disappointing as the rest our stay was perfect - also we were totally taken by surprise. A huge bill including large amounts for the already paid for accommodation is not something you want to be faced with at 10 pm before a 5 am morning departure. Eventually all was resolved and luckily we had had a relaxing holiday so we didn’t let this upset.
Beautiful setting, very peaceful, right on coast and room was lovely.
Restaurant was very disappointing, was advertised as a la carte but only doing a set menu for dinner which was expensive with very limited choices (turkey drumsticks, tuna or quinoa on the night we tried). Bizarrely they were offering a full room service menu including pastas, risottos and meat and fish dishes, which was what we ended up ordering and eating in our room but why they couldn’t also offer those options in the restaurant was beyond comprehension. Also they had run out of house wine and the only options they had to offer were considerably more expensive than the house wine. Again, we ended up buying and drinking our own to go with the room service orders! So not a great dining experience, which considering the remote location (nothing else within 15 minutes drive) was very disappointing. Also the spa was very strange, as you couldn’t even go into the pool / jacuzzi area without buying a latex swimming hat, even just to sit in the jacuzzi and there was nowhere else to sit other than in this area so if you came out of the sauna or steam you just had to mill around to cool down. Again, couldn’t see why they didn’t just offer use of shower caps as they were giving these free in the room and would have made the whole spa much more useable. Staff seemed almost as bewildered as we were by these “rules” and we were told it was all due to a recent change of ownership.
Lovely spot but glad we...

The location is very special
Asking for a orange as dessert was 7,--(!) and it was the same for other dessert options. Way to expensive
Fungus in the swimming pool and still you're forced to buy 5 Euro swimming CAP. But the clifs and beach is so beautiful that I almost forgot this.
Exciting and wonderful

- apartment space - jacuzzi in the toilet - surrounding area - comfort room - friendly staff - garden
- have option in the apartment to light the fireplace - restaurant (improve all food and lower prices) - difficult to locate the apartments, the number of apartments should be more visible to those who arrive at night

Didnt have breakfast.
Thought that the paths and walkways needed weeded, rather unkept.
Spa therapist Monica - professional approach, good treatment Views around Spacious room
Dusty and very old
Stunning setting- peaceful, fabulous views out to see and the hotel is designed beautifully around this. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied and the gym and pool facilities were a great addition to our stay. I would highly recommend for families and people who want easy access to the sites and attractions of the algarve but wish to stay somewhere a little off the beaten track with a relaxed and peaceful vibe.
Rooms fit for family, ideal for 4. Excellent breakfast. Beach in front hotel is beautiful and invite for a trekking. Morgadinho, hotel restaurant is very good with a reasonable pricing.
Room was a full apartment! Should spen$ more time here!
Driving in is a little challenging, narrow roads.
Location and friendly personnel. Good breakfast.
Wellness was only for 16+
The place is gorgeous, not only adjacent to the resort, but the beaches, starting with the double beach at the end of the path toward to sea. Then, nice hike to the right along the ridge toward another beach about 20 min along the ridge. Small, lovely pocket beaches. Breakfasts were great. The suite was huge and super comfortable. The spa was good--especially the steam room and sauna. My pedicure was costly but very well done. Staff is nice and helpful.
The dining room for dinner is super fussy in a not so good way. Small portions of over fancy,over-prepared, not so tasty food. It seemed wildly off the mark for the resort which had a number of kids. The dining room was not well patronized at night and for good reason. Off the mark for an otherwise great place.
Surroundings and facilities were top notch
Was a kettle but no tea bags or milk in the room
Nice quiet resort with a good beach just a walk away. Has a heated pool inside in case of colder weather. The resort is far from all the city noise and it is perfect for cozy vacation.
The resort was quiet but really good. The rooms were well equipped and the location was great. The breakfast was 1st class and the beach the kids loved.
Noting but it’s remote and a singular track you need a car to stay here!
The small personal touch. We were there for a birthday with family, when we got back in the evening there was a birthday cake waiting on the table. Well equipped clean and well located. Spa very welcome Monica was adorable.
Perfect hotel far away of the civilization. Beautifull sights
Location and views were outstanding as was the staff and food.
The site was excellent with access to coves and protected beaches. Water was freezing cold.
The beds were rough and so firm it was hard to sleep on. We couldn't have a full resting night in our entire stay. The matresses were also covered with a poor quality protective plastic and this was making noise at every movement. Pillows were old and uncomfortable. Sofas were stuffy and smelly, not very clean. Breakfast was ok but not excellent. There were moldy tiles in the bathtub. Bathroom door not closing well. Microwave, AC and TV not working properly initially and required a visit from Maintenance. Food was expensive. The site itself is however excellent, even with the access being somewhat difficult.
The place for family and couples! The resort provides you an excellent opportunity to enjoy nature, breathtaking views, swimming at the hidden beach( only limited number of people), 2 pools and small kids pool, apartment is very comfortable for 4 persons, kitchen is sufficient, but not for much cooking. The surrounding is very quiet! Hope to come back!
Clean and lovely setting.
Those Portuguese tarts at breakfast were divine !! And, the bed was, in fact super comfy. !!
We could have had daily complimentary water in the suite. Something we expect in a 5 star resort. Also, we had to return two out of date bottles of juice to reception. These were replaced within an hour or two.
We stayed for six nights in a two bedroom apartment equipped with a kitchen and good size bathroom plus a spacious living room. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were great. Beds were comfortable and WiFi connection was very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The resort has two pools and sufficient number of lounges and umbrellas. It is very close to a beach on the ocean. Nicely landscaped with great views of the ocean from the resort.
There are no restaurants in the vicinity of the resort, and access to the main road is very narrow.
Spa staff were wonderful. Pool and spa facilities amazing. Location by a perfect beach
Accommodation was quite dated.
The apartment was very spacious. Our townhouse was right across the pool and restaurant area. The beach was quite close and the beach towels were provided by the hotel. Warm welcome with excursion. Silent area.
The furniture in the apartment was outdated and needed renovation. Jacuzzi bath had rust or some dirt on it and the housekeepers never removed it, so it was useless for us. By the way, the housekeeper used to come daily at around 4 or 5 pm. It was totally inconvenient, no chance for afternoon nap. No drinking water provided (would expect from that star level hotel). The pools were very small. Food for breakfast was the same every day and couple of days we had to chase the waiters to serve us tea/coffee, since they were ignoring our table. There was also no cold water in the apartment for two times during our stay. It usually started running again within half a hour, but you usually don't want to bother with such things while staying in the expensive hotel. And the second time it happened right before the checkout so my husband had to take shower in the gym. The remark near the bed regarding charges for late check out also looked cheap to us. The restaurant was too expensive and the portions were small. No activities in the resort other than a pool/beach and small gym.
rooms and setting
swimming pools
Great little houses full of everything you need in an amazing location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to a cute little beach and incredible cliffs. Highly recommended!!!
Lovely location excellent views
The Location was lovely and quiet, you would need a car to get around. Beautiful Albandeira beach moments walk from the hotel.
Breakfast coffee/ cappuccino was from a machine. We did only find out at checkout that we could order espresso from the restaurant.
Breakfast was great and the location was fantastic, right of the water and a five minute walk to the cliffs and local beach.
The pool area was smaller than expected and wasn't as clean as we would expect for a resort of this calibre (glass balustrades needed cleaning and there were sometimes glasses and plates left from the day before). The room decor was also a bit dated.
The hotel's cliffs lead to the Bengali Caves..what a spectuclar treat to go to the caves on foot
Comfortable beds. Small kitchenette was a plus. Quite luxurious. Not for a budget traveller.
What is it with the swimming caps for the spa?? If we are required to wear please supply!
The meals were delicious and the staff were kind and approachable. The children's menu was incredible!!!!!!!
Nothing!
The pool was amazing. I was staying here to attend an on-site wedding. The wedding was amazing.
The staff for the wedding were very good. Reception staff were cold and unwelcoming. The staff in the restaurant and bar were not at a 5 star level. The breakfast similarly was 3 star at beast.
A deserted outdated place with poor facilities and lots of flies in the apartment. Regretted that we blindly chose it! Big money for nothing!
Comfortable, quiet, charming. Very helpful staff!
Restaurant is overpriced
Lovely cliff top views.
They closed the restaurant for a private party and we couldn’t eat there.
The setting is gorgeous. The staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Great location.
The place just lacks some decent facilities for me to give it a 10 rating. The place is lovely but it needs a decent gym and spa. The gym and spa is a waste of time. No decent machines or free weights. They have so much ground in the estate they could easily build a tennis court, create a games room for kids such as table tennis or pool. Not much to do other than use the swimming pool. The food at night is not good. Trying too hard to look like a Michelin restaurant but quality and selection poor. People are great though but the owners need to invest in the property and the little touches that would make us come back.
Lovely setting
Poor service from staff in restaurant Not very attentive, Need to have a person from the Kitchen serving fresh eggs at breakfast as they tend to sit in warming tray for a very long time and have to ask for it to be replenished also a toaster that works
Tatiana in the kids club she was awesome with the children.
Location and quality of property
Front end staff on customer experience can be better. It was not poor but average
Great location, quiet and peaceful and very friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.
Maybe the gym could have a little bit more attention, but apart from that everything was great.
The food quality was excellent.
They closed the restaurant for a small private booking and didn't tell us until we arrived. They only had one restaurant and nowhere nearby to eat either.
After a hectic few weeks travelling. This was a beautiful place to take time out and relax for a few days. Very quite and peaceful away from any hustle and bustle.
I love the fact that the resort has everything u need, love the cave beaches, enjoyed the food, the staff and the spa. Great resort for who needs a quite place to stay far distance from crowds!!
Wiffi
Coffee machine and 2 capsules in room on arrival. However when asked for tea bags was told they would cost an extra €1.30 per tea bag. very unhappy with this so refused to purchase them
Location.
Could be better if supporting the coffee machine capsula each day and not 2 for all vacation. Very narrow minded on that . Many insects need to better termination.
Clean and spacious
Bit outdated inside and the information booklet needs updating as there is no BBQ option like it advertises
Great exclusive small resort at one of the best beaches of Algarve. One of the best kept secrets. Fantastic restaurant and service. Will come back ! Loved it..
The location of this hotel is stunning, it’s a real hidden gem in an unspoilt part of the Algarve away from the mass development areas.
Housekeeping could be a lot better
I liked how close it was to the beach, I liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the cleaning staff. Suite was plentiful in comfort and space. The Beach Shack close to the hotel was our only saviour we ate there every night and had drinks there.
On arrival the receptionist (I didn't get her name) led us to believe that she would be able to allow us into our room before 3pm. This built our hopes up as we had an early arrival, but she made no effort at all to even get in contact with us, we had to call back again to reception to have our room allocated to us, she could do with customer care courses. This place is very far out and you would need a car, a courtesy bus would've been nice into the town, it lacked atmosphere and glad we only booked 5 days here.
Beautiful location! Access to almost private beach. Unobstructed views of the ocean. If you seek solitude and love to be around picturesque places then this is the place
Everything was fabulous
Established grounds, beautiful views, respectable guests, lovely accommodation and pool areas.
Restaurant needs updating and menu expensive for so little choice and value for money poor.
The breakfast was very good. With the fresh cheese + tomatoes and virgin olive oil we were off to a good start. The fresh fruit was delicious and only seldom do you experience such great selection of pineapple, mango and papaya. Other cheeses were also better than average while the bread selection was not great the croissants were good. The tee was average (simple quality tea bags) but the coffee from the coffee machine was alright. It is not quite a five star breakfast but all in all really good. And yes, they mostly had sufficient supply of pasteis de nata! The staff was very kind and helpful. It is very nice to sit outside on the restaurant terrace with the sea view but on windy days there is regrettably no sun protection. A great setting for evening dinners. We enjoyed the spacious apartment with two bedrooms and plenty of available space. The garden in between the villas is splendid! It was such a treat just to walk between the buildings and enjoy the beautifully kept garden. The pool area has a wonderful view. It is not a particularly large pool but OK for light swim exercises. There are several beaches within walking distance but they can be hard to reach and you always have the potential danger of falling rocks along this coast. To walk along this coast is a wonderful experience. Such a wonderful landscape.
The room was a bit dated in style but it still had its own charm. The bathroom could need an upgrade though. In particular we missed a better and more spacious shower (and not in the bath tub). Overall the buildings look better on the outside than on the inside.
Great location on the coast. Comfy villas and beautiful facilities.
Our room was not ready till 16.00. The receptionist did not send a golf car to help us with our luggage during check out.
Location. I general we love Algarve.
Wi-Fi can certainly be improved
Pool and the food at the restaurant is amazing, although very expensive. Staff at the restaurant was lovely and very knowledgeable.
We went there to look at the wedding venue and it feels like place for older people, very quiet and in the middle of nowhere. We had to wait for our apartment even after chick in time and unfortunately the girl at the reception wasn't very helpful. We were staying two nights and wanted to book for one breakfast due to leaving early in the morning on the second day, but there was no option to do that. Lady at the reception informed us that we can pay directly in the restaurant BUT THE COST OF ONE BREAKFAST AT THE RESTAURANT WAS THE SAME AS TWO IF YOU BOOKED AT RECEPTION!!! At our 6am check out we found out that there was an option for them to prepare breakfast for us, which the lady never mentioned during check in time even after us asking about breakfast. Overall the stay was very peaceful but totally not for us. Spa is very expensive. You have to go downstairs to the spa facilities to get a towel for the pool and then after using take it back, it felt more like you were there for the staff not the other way around. We wont be going back.
The location, the atmosphere, the gardens and the proximity to nature
The organisation of the SPA
Beautiful and close to beach
Nothing
Awesome place and very secluded...which we liked!
Nothing
Beautiful area, beach front
Modern villas, beautiful architecture
Brilliant place highly recommended, breakfast was very nice. Coastal walk path right next to property. Stunning beach
Amazing place!!! The staff is very nice and helpful. They really took good care of us and made our days there unforgettable. We couldn’t ask for more.
The staff here were lovely and the views are stunning.
This hotel is just not a five star hotel, by any standard. The rooms are just average in terms of decor and comfort, the bar and restaurant area is very average - in fact we had a drink in the bar one evening and found it thoroughly depressing! The spa seemed nice but the enforcement of wearing a swimming hat put us off even using it. All round the standard of the hotel was just a big disappointment.
I've been to Suites Alba before with my mum and wanted to take my boys. It certainly didn't disappoint. The location is marvellous if you like (comparatively) unspoiled beauty, the resort is just lovely with plenty of room in our suite to spread out. The breakfasts are fabulous, with something for every taste and plenty of it. And the staff are just so friendly and welcoming. As for dining in the restaurant at night, it's pricey but that's only right since it's top-class food (my husband was in ecstasy).
Very nice location away on a cliff. Spacious and clean rooms. Very well maintained garden with nice swimming pools.
It’s amazingly good place to spend a romantic gateway
Location, family suites, pool and spa
Beautiful place, friendly staff, great breakfast, beautiful location and convenient to get to from the airport. It was also an incredible deal in February.
nothing to dislike
The location was very peaceful, excellent views, suites were exceptionally clean with everything you needed. Will certainly go back.
Not being able to use the indoor pool without a bathing cap so didn't use it at all.
Everything is perfect except the location.it is a little bit hard to find the hotel.but after u check in.u will find out a paradise
Amazing breakfast, the egg tarts were especially delicious. Great staff. They helped us with hiring scooters and gave us information about the areas. They were always very helpful. The best part is the location. The beach just next to the hotel is so gorgeous! Waking up to see the sunrise and sunsets in the evenings were major highlights of our trip. The rooms are so spacious. It's like having your own house. We were two friends and had loads of fun. There is a functional kitchen as well, in case you wish to cook something light. The spa was amazing as well. We enjoyed the free spa services as well as the spa package. Highly recommended. Would definitely go back to this beautiful resort. Please don't miss out on the beach next to the resort. It looks small from the top but is really a hidden gem.
The bar is very small and the area around the resort after dark hours is a bit remote. But if you're driving that shouldn't be a problem. The roads close to the resort are very narrow, so hiring a very big vehicle could be troublesome.
overall ambience and the exceptional location.
I really loved this wonderful, beautiful place. The staff is so caring and friendly. My stay at the resort was a relaxing mixture of great food, the lovely coastline, horse back riding and spa. Really wonderful.
Nothing to complain about.
Quiet resort. Nice beaches, beautiful garden. Appartment very spacious, comfy and very clean. Breakfast with lots of fresh fruit. Nice but prententious and rather pricey restaurant, with only very few guests.
We had paid extra for ‘seaview’ but ‘seaview’ appeared a bit of sea in the far distance. Towels were removed, although we had not put tem on the floor. Would have been better for the environment if we could have used them again. Some noise from the neighbours. The swimmingpool, hot tub and sauna were very good when we were with only two people. But they are rather small and at the rush hour it was far too crowded. Wifi not very strong.
breakfast ok for first day then eggs were short
internet connection was very weak something needs updating badly, appliance instructions not north american friendly
The breakfast it is delicious (high quality) The environment it is beautiful The house it is very well equiped
nothing... everything is good
Honestly, we had a perfect trip with Suites Alba Resort and Spa. Before, during and after our stay the staff were so helpful and accommodating to all of our needs. Especially Flavia, one of the managers at the hotel, she was so lovely and made our stay comfortable and relaxed. It was low season so there weren't many people, but it was perfect. We had a two bedroom villa with a fireplace, kitchen and bath tub. We didn't leave the room much! And when we did, the location couldn't have been more convenient. We love hiking so we went on a long walk along the beach to Benagil where we came across some nice restaurants and sites. Would 100% recommend and come again.
Nothing
Spacious two-bedroom suite with separate living area and kitchen. We had good Christmas eve dinner and good breakfast as well. The beach nearby is just beautiful. Wish we had more time to spend.
Good place, with nice view and good furniture. Nice sandy beach. Good restaurant and room service. Big parking place
Price little bit high, due was taken additional money for children. Usually children are free if sleep on existing beds. Road to hotel little bit tricky due a lot of places which suits for one car only. Little bit cold in the changing room in the Spa.
Staff are very nice, lovely people
Indoor swimming pool are quite small
Perfect quiet location. Very friendly staff.
Just perfect everything The breakfast perfect, rooms big and comfortable, inside pool warm wather. And the place is just better like in photos
NOTHING
Location and sea views
Hard Beds and small cups
Quiet place near a small beach with easy access.
Lights in the room were too weak.
Excellent place to stay with all required facilities in the flat.
Transport could be daunting if car is not hired as this is far from any main place.
Great beach right next to hotel, very friendly staff, good place to relax
Kitchen poorly equiped, not for daily cooking.
The suite itself was very spacious, it felt like being at home. Location was beautiful. We were there out of season so it was very quiet.
It was all lovely.
