En route to Portugal
Location in old town is superb, close to good restaurants. Hotel is comfortable and a pleasure to visit
Exceptional
Location of the hotel in close proximity to the old town, very friendly and professional staff, excellent (though a bit pricey...) restaurant, beautiful interiors combining old monastic interiors with modernity.
Nothing at all could be mentioned.
Beautiful palace building
Great building and location and very professional staff
The one night fee for a small dog is high with 30 Euro

Everything was amazing. Staff, room, location, food etc.
Best hotel in the whole...
This hotel is absolutely stunningly beautiful! The staff are incredible; the hotel is spotlessly clean; the food is amazing! Don't even think about it! Just book it and you will be so so happy! Commendation to all the staff! You are a credit to your company! Well done! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Trust me there is nothing not to like at this hotel!
Exceptional
Everything, it's a beautiful hotel, in an amazing location, I would absolutely recommend it. Only ate breakfast but it was vast, varied and delicious. I look forward to returning, when I have more time to explore and enjoy.
Floor in bathroom, very slippery when wet, as too was the bath. The staff parading up and down while I was eating breakfast.
Perfect experience!
Attention to detail throughout, staff greeted you by name, nothing was too much trouble. Recommended without hesitation.
Nothing!

Excellent location and good onsite private car parking. Very attentive staff, classic Spanish style building 💯

Fabulous
Lovely room, super comfy bed. Staff were superb very helpful. Dinner was very good and breakfast excellent. Nothing to not like here at all. Easy to find and very safe parking with excellent location. Pass this area regularly and this is a definite return for us.
Great location and wonderful hotel
The location is ideal next to the cathedral and just a short walk to the main old town and it’s shops and beautiful buildings. Very covid clean, friendly staff with excellent English. Food good and parking great. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for so reasonable value
Reasonable value
Location location location
Fantastic location within 200 yards of old quarter. Lovely refreshing pool with a stunning backdrop i.e the cathedral. Very friendly an efficient staff who arranged all the car parking. Clean and well appointed rooms and interesting delicious breakfast choices to cater for covid rules. Well done
Excellent pet friendly hotel in...
Beautiful pet friendly hotel in an excellent location in the centre of Salamanca- easy access and parking ,very comfy rooms -additional nice touch of dog bed and biscuits left in room . Very clean and excellent housekeeping of our room .
Nothing !!
Definitely my place in Salamanca
Beautiful building, on site parking easy to access, within walking distance main sights, staff very helpful. Reasonably priced for quality
Couldn’t get the aircon to work
Very good
We loved the hotel decor. Beautiful rooms and public spaces. Extremely tastefully done. Fantastic bed and bathroom. Only 10€ for our dog and they provided a bed and bowl with biscuits. Great walks along the river and close to the centre of town. Superb breakfast although not cheap.

A tastefully decorated hotel with...
This luxury hotel offers extremely good value for money. The staff are exceptional. The beds are heavenly. The cosmetics smell delicious. The breakfasts are fantastic. The restaurant is also worth using. We had both lunch and dinner there and were very impressed. There is absolutely nothing not to like at this lovely hotel.
Superb
The very good location in the city and in the wonderful convent of San Esteban of the Dominican Friars. The atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and the breakfast was very good.
Location, location, location
Best views ever from the swimming pool and from the room, worth paying a bit more for it. Staff was nice and helpful. This hotel is my new must while visiting the city.
Getting to the swimming pool via the parking.
Historic stopover.
Spectacularly located historic building, yet spacious inside. We were given a room upgrade to a "Junior Suite," (which fortunately had had its totally pointless dividing doors removed,) which was very comfortable. Breakfast in the hugely impressive dining room is almost an event on its own. Good staff.
Nothing in particular. But it was a bit irritating to be asked for an extra €15 euros to park the car outside, since most of the guests had also arrived by car for a stopover. Air conditioning faulty in our room, but not a problem in this building. (Small windows.) The bathrooms are looking rather dated now.
Superb
High service level delivered from employees Beds lovely Clean room Breakfast very good Parking inside hotel area
Quality of dinner most ok but one dish not at all good
perfect location to explore the...
roomy bed and bath room, frequent room cleaning, rich breakfast, excellent personnel
water in the swimming pool was way too cold

A lovely hotel in a great location.
At the restaurant they could not organise any surprise that I asked for my partner's birthday. That was disappointing in a five star hotel.
Friendly staff. Excellent location. Easy parking.

Very good stay in a nice location with very happy and very helpful staff.
Very good stay in a nice location with very happy and very helpful staff.
Location Ideal for center of town Plaza Mayor less than ten minutes away, cathedral 5 minutes. Has open parking spaces although a bit expensive 15 Euros a day. Salamanca is Spain's Oxford or Cambridge and has lovely old buildings to see (14th and 15th century plus Roman Bridge).
Breakfast expensive for what you got, Well it is a 5 star.

Overall, the building and surroundings are beautiful. Both the restaurant and pool areas are outstanding.
The room was tiny (we could barely open our bags) and the walls were dirty. We also found it really difficult to find parking, as the hotel does not appropriately cater for the guest numbers.
Swimming pool is lovely with a beautiful view of the city. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had for a while. Dinner was also very good, not cheap but worth it.
Would be nice if they had family rooms, or maybe they do but I couldn't find any on booking.com
Evening barbeque on terrace.
Didn't feel it was worthy of 5 stars. Been in lots of better 4 star. Road works made it difficult to find. Breakfast too expensive. Air conditioning difficult to work.
Considering the necessary precautions over the corona virus this hotel has to rate as one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. The staff were out of this world with their attention to detail, their friendliness and their welcoming spirit. The position of the hotel within the old city of Salamanca makes it a must for anyone interested in Spanish history. Couldn’t recommend this hotel more
Absolutely nothing
Fabulous location and setting in converted historic convent. Beautiful room. Great views of Salamanca and close to historic centre. Very good value for money.
Very attractive property, with lovely conversion sympathetic to Architecture whilst very practical and attractive.
Every aspect was great
The property was very clean and safe. Everybody following the security and safe laws. Clean and salty pool. Nice breakfast Nice tasting Menu at night. Highly recommended
All was great
This hotel is very characterful and beautiful in a perfect location. The swimming pool was perfect after driving all day. Breakfast was exceptional would love to stay again when we have more time.
Eventually had a suitable and comfortable room.
Having to move rooms twice before being offered a suitable room.
I’ll start with our favorite part; the pool and the area around it were amazing and so was the staff. The room was ok and bed very comfortable. We tried the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and overall really liked it. The downside is that for lunch they have a fixed menu which only had 2 options each for starters and main course but still very tasty. Again though the staff was very helpful and tried to accommodate all our requests for our little one.
- The view on our deluxe room. It was overlooking the parking so I wouldn’t call it “a view” at all. - The parking is 15€ per night which I wouldn’t mind if it was closed/underground but for an open one I would say it’s quite expensive...
Location, conditions and service 10
Nothing negativa
Very nice location within the walls and in a historical building, parking on site is possible. The attractions of the old city are within walking distance. Beautiful view from the pool area.
The service in the bar was below standard.
Phenomenal breakfast. Luxurious towels. Lovely bedroom in old convent, amazing but quite pricy.
Room, location ans breakfast!
Sadly we couldn't take our little dog into the restaurant so were unable to enjoy the dinner menu.
Wonderful location, quiet area, historial building with many old features.
Lovely, old furniture, but lack of space for putting clothes in them. Example, old chest of drawers, individual drawers had to be forced to open, thus not used. A huge, beautiful room, there is space to put more cupboards, shelves in wardrobes. With lack of space we kept our clothes in luggage. Very good breakfast, please add more fresh bread and rolls, rather than packed sliced bread.
The hotel is a lovely old building and well decorated. The location is great, short walks to the main sights in Salamanca. The staff were outstanding, especially Enrique, Ivan, Paulino, and a tall lady at the reception (sorry, can't remember her name!), and they went out of their way to be of assistance in every way.
The standard and superior rooms are really quite small, and since we stayed for several nights, it felt cramped. There is no way to control the temperature in your own room, even though there is a thermostat for central air/heat. When we arrived, it was burning hot, the heat was off, and they suggested we open the windows (really?). At night, the outside temperature averaged near freezing. On the second day, water was disconnected in the afternoon for a few hours for repairs, and when it came back, in the evening, we had a leak in the bathroom ceiling. We called and they gave us the option to move to a room in the other building, where the deluxe rooms were located. This room was definitely larger, although facing the front of the hotel, where all the cars were parked. Some noise. This room was on the cold side, and then the heater didn't work very well. The internet was kind of slow, although functional. Several of the light fixtures were on the same switch, so if I wanted to turn off the bedside light on my side, it would turn off both sides and another light in the room. Other fixtures were the same way. Very odd and not practical for the guests. While it really is a lovely hotel, the lack of individual climate control is a major issue. I would not classify this as a 5-star hotel.
Perfect location, beautiful architecture and mix of old and new in historical building in heart of Salamanca. We were given an upgrade on arrival, wonderful hospitality, incredible views of Cathedral and the most delicious breakfast ‘experience’ I’ve ever had!
Everything we stay here each year on our way to our house in algarve it is superb
Nothing
Wonderful room, staff very attentive and helpful and a great breakfast.
No gym was a bit disappointing.
Everything!
We liked everything however on the booking.com website it shows the garden which we assumed was part of the hotel, unfortunately for us it was not. I booked the hotel for this feature having 3 dogs!! However, a park nearby sufficed. We will return but minus the dogs
I love the place
Nothing
I’ve stayed here many times and love the hotel and it’s location......a large bonus is they take dogs.
The breakfast could do with upgrading
Beautiful setting, as the hotel is a converted monastery. The location is perfect - right at the heart of the historical centre, so we walked everywhere in a matter of minutes.
Lovely historic building beautifully converted. Great central location. Dog friendly with bed provided.
Bedroom too hot. Apart from that everything else was great.
Everything was fantastic
Parking besides i pay it. Near of the center city.
Bad maintenance, namely in the bathroom. The room is very narrow and to go to this room it is necessary take to liftings and walk near of 50m. The breakfast and dinner is very expensive. There are no hall and the lecture room is the bar place with poor lighting. The tv have no portuguese tv besides on the hotel have many portuguese cars.
Excellent buffet breakfast with many vegan options. Staff was very nice, they let you park your car. Very confortable bed, perfectly clean rooms
Welcomed by a really lovely concierge..he parked the car , took are bags ...made everything easy. Beautiful property, great location. As the restaurant was not dog friendly , another concierge recommended a lovely restaurant ... All in all Avery easy , lovely stay ..Thankyou
Nothing
It was an amazing location, had a very unique atmosphere and the staff were friendly. Both staff members we interacted with spoke very good English and provided suggestions of things to do during our short stay in Salamanca.
Nothing! It was great. We stayed in a suite and recommend you do the same if you can. When you get there, they provide parking on site. It's a bit hidden but if you call ahead, the staff will direct you where to drive.
This hotel shouldn't be a 5* hotel. The acclimatization system was turn off leaving the guest without an option to choose their room temperature. If the hotel make the decision to not have AC, they must reflected in the web, that way, the guest would know the real conditions of the property. My husband and I got sick because the only solution they suggested to control the extreme hot in the room was to open the window. First, your belonging and your security are expose to and open window; second, the contrast of temperature generate by the situation make us sick very bad. In order to be a 5* hotel there are conditions that should be met and AC control is absolutely one of then. Be aware of this situation if your planning to stay.
The staff were the most friendly and attentive I think we have ever experienced. Could not manage breakfast as the evening meal was so good and filling we did not think we would ever eat again. Perfect location for exploring the old town.
The room was a trifle hot and had to open all the windows
Beautiful historic building in great location
Rooms were a bit warm at night
Excellent staff! Good location and great hotel with affordable price! Highly recommended!!
Romantic and beautiful property. Very special! We loved it
Staff was very nice and pleasant. This hotel is an ancient Dominican residence adjacent to a monastery that can also be visited. It is nicely refurbished and comfy. Location is perfect, 6 minutes walk to the ancient quarter and all the historical buildings.
Parking can be difficult if it is busy.
First class restaurant and staff very professional.
No air conditioning, as it was winter time, but Salamanca unusually warm, and so bedroom very hot, unable to sleep without windows being open.
Very comfortable bed, lovely breakfast Easy to walk out
The restaurant does not open until 8.30 pm and had n table before 9 so we had a sandwich in the room. We have booked restaurant for our return stay
Very comfortable friendly hotel with lovely food, I can’t wait to spend a little more time there
Can’t think of anything !!
Wonderful view from bedroom window of nesting storks. Very good service at reception - courteous and helpful. Parking easy and secure. Great features connected to ecclesiastical setting.
Nothing.
The location is nice... and the rooms relatively modern and up to date...
The service was quite offhand... common areas are relatively irrelevant (this is a hotel best for the summer) and they charge extra for parking and don’t give you Marriott points if you book via booking.com. They didn’t have conditioner in the bathroom and had to ask for it like you were Oliver begging for more food (in what is meant to be a 5* hotel)
The room, a junior suite was huge. The breakfast was great in a fantastic vaulted room. It was spotlessly clean. They left a lovely afternoon treat in your room.
It was a little tired. Furniture and walks a little worse for wear. But I would stay there again. .
The hotel is superb, full of character, all staff we met were friendly and efficient.

The staff was absolutely amazing and the rooms extra cozy, beautiful views, great food.
Excellent service, amazing food in a stylish hotel
Great location. Comfortable room.
Couldn’t locate gym - confusing signage inside building.

Location and view from our window was superb. All the staff were friendly and obliging. Room comfortable but might have upgraded had I know it was a little snug for 2 people and luggage. Would return for sure.
Apart from the bathroom and the rather unfriendly and inefficient staff everything else was okay.

All of it
The price
Lovely large room with great bathroom with bath tub and nice toiliteries. A bed and bowl with some biscuits was supplied for our dog. A wondeful building, beautifully converted and in finished in best of taste. A garden and swimming pool for the summer, however of bounds for our dog! We were there just as they were taking down the Christmas decorations and it was minus 1 celcius but the heating was perfect. Breakfast in the stone vaulted dining room, was really excellent with masses of choice and some lovely home baked pastries, jams, and good cooked options including smoked salmon and omlettes. The position of the hotel is right by the old town and easy to walk around and enjoy the beautiful architecture of this historic town. Parking in the hotel grounds was extra but felt very secure.
We ate in the hotel restaurant and found it very expensive, not a very tasty or varied menu and rather small portions. Not ideal for tired and hungry travellers who had been in the car all day and really not quite up to expectations for a hotel of this quality.
Great breakfast choice, beautiful building and the nicest of staff, night porter was a delightful chap. Restaurant setting was beautiful, a step back into the past, the rooms are also very nice.
The price, always the price, but it is one of those hotels that is a step above the average, so you do expect to pay more for your stay.
This was our 2nd stay. We were given an upgrade to a room overlooking the Convent Garden which was lovely. Room & bed very comfortable. Dog bed & bowl in room. It is a dog friendly hotel. Parking was available for both our cars securely on site. We ate in the restaurant and the setting, food & staff were exceptional. A very interesting menu using many local ingredients beautifully cooked & presented. Breakfast is the best we've had anywhere. We can thoroughly recommend a stay here as Salamanca is a great city & the location of the hotel is an easy walk to the old town & university quarter.
Nothing I didn't like.
Everything was perfect
Nothing
Basic in terms of dog friendly. Well situated.
No communal areas available for pet.
The buildings are beautiful. Close to everything.
The restaurant opens for dinner at 8:30 pm! It is late for us tourists! There is a so called “cafeteria “ which is very uncomfortable for eating. The choice of food is extremely limited.
Location and great staff.
There was a bit of an odour in bathroom.
Building and location.
It accepts pets. The barking is heard at night. The room had fleas.
Everything. The staff were wonderful, the building was amazing, the breakfast was great and the location - with parking - was perfect!
Very comfortable bed and lovely room with bed and dish for our dog. Nice view of gardens.
breakfast was superb, unbelivable service and quality of food. Good location quiet bit within 10min walk city centre. Views to cathedral and to sam esteban cloisters
No pool or steam room or sauna closed in winter
