She then made my flight a nightmare, until I let her sit in my aisle seat. Even then she was not satisfied, she abused me the whole flight damaged the screen so I could not use it until the steward fixed it. Demanded that I except any and all alcohol to give to her to drink. When I am tea total she then continued to abuse me. I asked the steward to move me he just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nowhere else. This is definitely my the worst flight I have experienced."

I had checked because I had heard there was a fee but upon investigation, it was said that this requirement had been eliminated. Wrong!! You still need the pass but you don’t get charged a fee. The extra time required for this tedious meant we missed our chance to check bags and do incurred hundreds of dollars more to get on the same flight the next day. No Bueno!!! This should be highlighted up front!!"

Negativ: "The boarding process was pointless While this is a quirk of the airport, the airline should change their procedure for this scenario. LATAM splits passengers into different groups: first class, special needs, priority because you paid, everybody else. That's fine at most airports. At Santiago's airport, however, passengers ride a bus from the gate to the plane, mixing up all the groups on the bus, so what's the point? Worse, special needs passengers were the first to get on the bus, but end up last to get off screwing over the elderly and those with small children. What a system!"

Then there's a security check right before you get on the plane so we have to throw away bottles of water that were bought in the terminal after passing initial security. Ridiculous!! How are we to keep hydrated on a 10 hour flight without being able to bring water on the plane?? The flight attendants should, at least, come around with cups of water. Service on LAN was excellent 10 years ago but has deteriorated when it changed to LATAM."

Negativ: "Latam crams its single-aisle Airbus fleet with one or two rows of seats too many: the seat space is crammed. The exception are the first three rows and exit rows, for extra pay or free for elite passengers. The first three rows have power outlets -nice and useful to watch streaming movies without draining your smartphone battery."

Positiv: "Da das Flugzeug aus Santiago de Chile kommt, handelt es sich um eine Langstreckenmaschine, in der die Beinfreiheit auch in der Economy-Class sehr komfortabel ist (ich konnte problemlos meine Beine überkreuzen). Das persönliche Entertainmentsystem bietet eine große Auswahl an Filmen, TV-Serien und Spielen und der Touchscreen reagiert sehr schnell und flüssig. Es gibt USB- und normale Steckdosen an jedem Platz. Zu Essen gab es ein belegtes kaltes Sandwich, einen Schokoriegel sowie heiße und kalte Getränke, was dem Angebot bei anderen Airlines auf dieser Strecke entspricht und aufgrund der Flugzeit zwischen Mittag- und Abendessen auch ausreichend ist."
Negativ: "Der Check-In-Prozess in Madrid ist aus meiner Sicht idiotisch gestaltet: Zunächst muss man sich anstellen, um an Selbstbedienungskiosken die Aufkleber für das Gepäck auszudrucken und an den Koffern anzubringen, danach muss man zum bemannten Schalter gehen, um die Reisedokumente kontrollieren zu lassen und das Gepäck aufs Band zu stellen. Durch das eigenständige Ausdrucken der Etiketten spart man dem Check-In-Personal eine Arbeit von vielleicht 10 Sekunden pro Koffer – die Reisenden verlieren aber mindestens 15 Minuten beim Anstehen am Automaten, von denen es nämlich viel zu wenige gibt. Es ist mir völlig schleierhaft, warum LATAM auf diesem zweistufigen Prozess besteht, da man letztendlich ja doch zu einem Check-In-Agenten muss (und nicht, wie bei Lufthansa in Frankfurt, die gesamte Gepäckaufgabe automatisch läuft) und somit noch nicht einmal Arbeitskräfte eingespart werden – im Gegenteil stehen bei den Automaten zur Unterstützung sogar noch zwei zusätzliche Mitarbeiter. Es sollte also entweder auf das eigenständige Ausdrucken der Kofferetiketten verzichtet oder auf eine vollautomatische Gepäckaufgabe umgestellt werden, bei der man wirklich zu keinem Menschen mehr muss. Beim Boarding stellen sich die Passagiere nach Sitzreihe sortiert an, allerdings sind die Trennbänder zwischen den Gruppen viel zu kurz, sodass am Ende der Schlange alle Passagiere vermischt stehen. Stattdessen sollten die Fluggäste nach Sitzreihe zum Boarding aufgerufen werden, sodass auch wirklich nur diejenigen anstehen, die auch wirklich gleich an Bord gehen werden. Die Filme und TV-Serien an Bord sind, wenn überhaupt, nur auf Englisch und nicht auf Deutsch verfügbar. Untertitel gibt es in keiner Sprache."

Positiv: "Am Check-in-Schalter wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass das Gate 48 sei - Google gab mir bereits an, dass der Flug von Gate 43 aus starten sollte. Zur besagten Abflugzeit war an Gate 48 kein Flugzeug und keine Crew. Die Leute, die dort warteten habe ich informiert, dass das Boarding an Gate 43 stattfindet. Die Innenausstattung des Dreamliners ist zwar etwas älter aber in der Business-Klasse sehr großzügig. Die Entertainmentauswahl ist umfangreich. Wie es sich für eine südamerikanische Fluggesellschaft gehört, gab es eine große Auswahl an Latino-Rhythmen."
Negativ: "Beim Essen gab es leider keine Wahlmöglichkeit. Dafür waren die südamerikanischen Rotweine sehr lecker. Die Filmauswahl beinhaltet aktuelle Blockbuster. Sie stehen jedoch nur in den Sprachen Spanisch, Portugiesisch und Englisch zur Verfügung."

Lack of communication between flight attendants at gate was the main reason for missing our flight, after 2 delays from the previous flight. When we got to the gate they closed it at that moment, earlier than it should have. A Mr. Fenney, person in charge at the gate, didn’t help much. Just went through the motion and as slow as possible trying to help us. It seemed he just wanted to pretend he was helping us. Worse was his attitude when telling is the gate has already closed, didn’t do anything to help us, nothing at all. We had to literally get information out of him. We then went to customer service were the same thing happened, a lack of care that we missed our flight due to things out of our control. Even to the point where the agent told us “be sure to be there on time this time”, like if it was our fault we missed it (we told her the details of our situation). Till this point they don’t seem to care. They left about 15 people, that i know of, hanging. If they had better comunication between gates and waited a miserably 5 more minutes (although they closed the gate earlier then they should have) everyone would have made it. Throughout the whole process we noticed that american airlines employees did not care that many on that first flight had connection flights. They were just going through the motion, slowly while all of us were a bit desperate knowing that the layover time was going to be very close."

Den ganzen Stress und 2 extra Gebühren kann ich mir ersparen wenn ich mein Ticket direkt in der Reiseagentur kaufe."

We then had to go through an arduous process to get handwritten boarding passes in Madrid. This put us at the end of the line for boarding. Then the gate agent refused to let us board because the boarding passes Iberia customer service wrote and stamped didn’t have ticket # on ithem. The gate agent made it clear that it was all on me to go back to the agent at customer service to get it addressed and make it back in-time. The other passenger was my 80 year old mother who a I had to leave unaccompanied at the gate so i’d have some chance of running across the terminal and making it back in-time, which fortunately I did. The complete lack of interest in helping or even acknowledging that this was their mistake is the reason why I will never fly Iberia again."

In this case they charged the first piece 50 dollars and the second one $200.00.- After I paid 1500 dollars for (1) plane ticket , it is unheard that there is not even one piece of luggage for free. When I booked the flight there was nothing on the site about this. This was my first and last time buying a tickets from you guys. The fact that the fare was 200 dollars cheaper than other sites, ended up costing, 300 more. Never again with you guys."

Positiv: "Die Business Class ist die Economy mit einem Sitz in der Mitte frei. Das Catering war okay"
Negativ: "So gar nichts positives zu erwähnen. Ausser, die Maschine kam 10 Minuten zu früh rein FB waren lieb aber nicht sehr fit alles billig billig. Statt O-Saft gibt es Nectar etc"

Negativ: "We booked flights with more than 75 mins connection time in Madrid but then the airline changed their schedule which reduced our connection to less than 55 mins. I was traveling alone with my 5 & 7 year old and we had to run non-stop from our 1st domestic flight to the international one, changing terminals, passing passport control (huge lines), and another security. No help from Iberia at all in terms of providing any assistance like a shuttle bus, quick passage thru passport or security. And they were nonchalant in terms of “if you miss your connecting flight, it’s your problem...”. Come on, we paid $4,500 for 3 tickets, and deserve better customer service than this, specially when you changed the flight schedule for your operational reasons!"

Negativ: "Flight was delayed for hours. Very little explanations. We were herded onto flight and staff at gate were beyond rude and aggressive."

Negativ: "JFK-Madrid flight got delayed by 3 hours which would cause me to miss my connection for Madrid-Split (~2 hour layover), I asked the Iberia representatives at JFK about changing the flight and they reassured me that “the connecting flight would hold for us” and “no need to change our flight”. To our surprise the connecting flight already left when we arrived to Madrid. It’s clear that this was a case of “not our problem” from the JFK Iberia ticket agent. Rather than helping us find a viable alternative for our flight (namely a flight that doesn’t arrive more than a full day later) before leaving for Madrid they shipped us to Madrid where there were poor/no options for getting to Split at the original planned time. I’m very upset that I’m going arrive more than a day late to my destination and that I was blatantly lied to by the Iberia agent at JFK, never ever going to book a flight with Iberia again."
