Negativ: "Nobody was sat in the overwing emergency exit row seats for the whole flight (so nobody had been briefed on how to use them) and the tray tables for these seats were down during the flight effectively blocking the emergency exit in the event of an emergency. Potentially very dangerous"

There is no wonder wall on the 747 only a wonder "basket" If you are flying from Gatwick, upgrading to premium isn't worth it. Go to upper class or fly with another airline. Check in was quicker for Economy passengers and it proved a challenge to work past the economy passengers during boarding to get to the premium agent."

Multiple levels of passport control and baggage checkout are chaotic, but that's for most all flights coming into USA? VIrgin/Delta handled it well enough. By the time we got through passport control in Boston ur bags were waiting and we had no problems at all."

I have flown international on Delta, American Airlines, British Airlines, United, and others and any difference in the experience was negligible."

It was the W hotels of the airlines industry and this time I really want impressed."

Negativ: "Plane was diverted back to Toronto from LaGuardia airport as we were told due to "weather", landed late at night and were told that due to not being able to control weather WestJet could not assist with accommodations, leaving everyone stranded and scrambling to find a room in alreday booked up hotels. When speaking on phone with agent, I was told it wasn't due to weather but incident at LaGuardia where plane went off runway. I paid $130.00 for 5 hours in a hotel, due to pilot error, not weather. La Guardia opened it's other runway immediately after and other airports in NewYork were running fine. Completely unacceptable and extremely bad customer service as CSR simply told us "sorry we can't help". Will never book with West Jet again."

Apart from that, it was a short flight, pretzels only and that's OK. No entertainment other than what you bring. The complete lack of knee room in Y was a discomfort."

Alle nass ins Flugzeug. Aber, das liegt natürlich an der Abfertigung in Birmingham und nicht an KLM."

In Rome had to check in & go through security at Terminal 5 then get bussed to Terminal 3. Only airport where we had to take out all electronics, including converter plugs, headphones, etc, place in a flimsy clear plastic bag ( that broke ) to go through security. Line to check bags pretty slow for number of passengers. Glad we had plenty of time."

The food was not very good and I'm not a huge fan of planes so old that my seat is a flotation device rather than having a real life jacket. Die hinteren Reihen hatten auf einem 13,5 Stunden-Flug nie die Möglichkeit vegetarisches Essen zu bekommen und es gab zwischendurch keine Snacks oder Getränke, man konnte allerdings zu den Flugbegleitern gehen und danach fragen."

Der Flug von FRA nach TXL war dann über eine Stunde verspätet, aber gottseidank war der Hydraulikschaden, der die Maschine einsatzunfähig machte, vor dem Abflug beim Check entdeckt worden, nicht auszudenken, wenn das nicht gecheckt worden wäre. Danach ging es auch zügig und überschaubar weiter."
Negativ: "Was immer doof ist: ich sage beim Check-In, aber auch beim Betreten des Flugzeuges dem/der meinem Platz nächststehenden Purser Bescheid, dass ich sehr schwerhörig bin und mit zwei Geräten unterwegs bin und bei Dingen, die man wissen sollte, eine direkte Ansprache brauche. Beim Flug von SFO nach FRA hat die Stewardess sich das sogar mit Kugelschreiber auf der Hand mit meinem Sitzplatz notiert, aber es hatte leider keine Auswirkungen. Ich würde mich also über Textskripte bei Ansagen auf dem Monitor sehr freuen, ebenso über deutsche Untertitel bei den Filmen. In den Überseemaschinen ist die Übertragung der Ansagen meistens klanglich ok - in den Inlandflügen, so wie von FRA nach TXL war die Lautsprecheransage so verzerrt, dass ich nichts verstanden habe. Wenn dabei wichtige Informationen gewesen wären, hätte ich leider Pech gehabt. Das ist sehr behindertenunfreundlich."

Beim Online Check In hatte ich 24 Stunden vor Abflug die Auswahl zwischen 4 Mittelplätzen und einem Fensterplatz in der letzten Reihe.Wahrscheinlich versucht BA mit der Vorreservierung noch Geld zu machen.Crew war leider auch nicht besonders gut drauf. Für mich im Ganzen eine sehr entäuschende Erfahrung. Das bekommt selbst Easy Jet besser hin."

Ein weiterer Stewart konnte anschließend seine Kollegin auf Ihr Fehlverhalten entschuldigen und bat mir seine Hilfe an."

Negativ: "A member of staff at the gate referred to my 2 year old daughter as "a difficult child" to another member of staff because she didn't like having her photo taken. I felt it was very rude and unfair, particularly as I had to lift her to an awkward height (whilst also holding a baby) as the camera was in a fixed position. It was clear the staff member didn't have children herself!"
