Negativ: "Ich wurde nie davon unterrichtet, dass meine Flüge von Porto nach Graz wegen eines Pilotenstreiks gestrichen waren. Ich habe das zufällig von einem Freund aus Graz telefonisch erfahren. Ich habe 1-1/2 Stunden vergeblich versucht jemanden der Lufthansa telefonisch zu erreichen, um meinen Flug umzubuchen. Es ist mir dann gelungen, auf meinem Handy den Flug auf eine andere Route, einen Tag später als ursprünglich gebucht umzubuchen, aber ich habe dann meine "preferred" Sitze und mein extra Gepäckstück, für die ich bezahlt hatte, verloren. Spät Abends habe ich dann, nach 30 Minuten bei der Lufthansa eine Dame erreicht, die mir dann "preferred" Sitze zugeteilt hat. Auf die Frage, ob meine Bezahlung für ein extra Gepäckstück auch anerkannt würde, bat sie mich in der Warteschleife kurz zu warten, aber nach weiteren 45 Minuten in der Warteschleife gab ich auf. Am nächsten Morgen, beim einchecken, waren meine "preferred" Sitze anderweitig vergeben und ich musste mich damit abfinden, trotz ursprünglicher Aufzahlung, im hinteren Teil des Flugzeuges zu reisen. Ich nehme sehr stark an, zum letzten Mal mit der Lufthansa, es gibt ja auch andere. Durch den Streik der Lufthansa Piloten, bin ich nicht die Route Porto - München - Graz geflogen, sondern einen Tag später, Porto - Frankfurt - Graz. Eine Vergütung für eine durch den Streik der Lufthansa Piloten erzwungene extra Übernachtung, habe ich nicht bekommen."

The airport had to close due to an emergency, that's out of Lufthansa's hands I obviously understand that. However, the way we were "helped" through all of this was unbelievable- over two and a half hours of phone calls with them, while in Europe (so paying God knows what per minute), 4 hours to get my luggage back so we could leave, absolutely no one from Lufthansa around to help or even tell us what's going on, put us on a flight the following day with two layovers now (paid more for only one layover but what can I do). Next day, at Alitalia gate (Lufthansa put me on an itinerary with flights from Alitalia, Lufthansa and United) had to pay AGAIN to check the bag that I had just paid to check the previous day where we did not end up flying anywhere (showed Alitalia the receipt, they didn't care in the slightest and said its Lufthansas problem, 0 stars for them as well), either way finally got through our 2 layovers, only to discover the final leg of our trip (United/ Lufthansa flight) is delayed 3 hours. Just about to board, now it's delayed another 5 hours. Because we were short a pilot...... Short a pilot, really....? Ended up getting home at 2am on a work night, completely jet lagged and utterly exhausted from being in an airport for 2 straight days. Supposed to get compensation as per United flight crew, only I put my ticket information in the website and it doesn't work for me of course because I have a Lufthansa ticket. No one cares, no one helps, now it's time for Amex to step in and get all of my money back."

Negativ: "Delay's happen but I paid $840 dollars to select seats and select those with extra legroom for myself and 3 other family members. I had a window seat with enough legroom to stretch out my bad knee. On the flight substituted for my original flight I was given a bulkhead seat (which doesn't allow for extended knees) next to a screaming baby on her mother's lap. Luckily the flight wasn't full so I moved to a seat next to an empty one. I was told by a crew member that I wouldn't get a refund because the bulkhead seat was considered extra legroom."

Negativ: "On our return flight from Munich to IAD the airline apparently switched the plane hours before departure. We did not receive notice of this and when we went to board we received new boarding passes. I was traveling with someone and so this reassignment meant not only that we were separated by that we were moved from an Aisle and a window seat together to both of us in middle seats. I understand that this change was out of ground crew control and so we waited to speak with agents about seeing if we could be seated together. While we waited patiently and were told that the only two seats together were both middle seats, the women who were waiting behind us and who were in the same situation as us (but much nor agitated and loud about the complaint) received upgrades to economy plus and were placed in an aisle seat. We were very disappointed with how this was handled and both of us being tall were very uncomfortable on the long flight."

No alternative flights were offered, no additional information about how and when we can fly home. We had to stay one extra day on Salzburg since this was the only option given to us by Lufthansa when we finally spoke to them the next day. This experience with Lufthansa was absolutely disappointing and we will probably never book with them again."

Negativ: "There was a last minute plane change, with resulted in a lot of confusion and unhappiness as we boarded. For those of us who checked in at least a day in advance, the loss of a window or aisle seat was troubling. Even more frustrating were the parents who requested a bassinet seat, were confirmed for that seat at check-in prior to arriving in Munich, and then being told that there were no more bassinet seats. Also, only one row was opened to scan your ticket and board - which made the process very slow and frustrating."

The food was really good for airplane food and it was a nice touch to have an actual plate and silverware. When you're traveling, those little touches make a big difference. The entertainment was wonderful - the screen on the back of the seat was really responsive and had a wide selection. I watched three movies and played several games."
Negativ: "My only criticism was the boarding process seemed a bit disorganized. I guess I'm used to boarding by zones or numbers. This was just sort of a free for all. But if that's my only criticism, that says a lot about the flight!"

Negativ: "@Austrian Airlines & @Airport Vienna: die Konkurrenz kann das viel besser: Wenn man sich schon wegen des Zubringerfluges OS736 verspätet, und den Anschlussflug OS273 gerade noch erreichen kann, ist es Service orientiert wenn man die Passagiere a) über den Anschlussflug informiert b) mit Priorität durch den obligatorischen Security Bereich begleitet c) dem Personal am Gate Bescheid sagt, dass noch Passagiere boarden kommen Keine Infos wie wir zum Gate kommen, kein Priority beim durchlaufen des Flughafens und dann noch Security Check und dann noch das entfernteste Gate (F31), was es geben kann"

Once in customer service line, we looked and saw that many of the other passengers on our flight also never received their luggage. We estimated that 20-25% of the people on that flight did not receive their luggage as they were in line with us for the same problem. Hard to understand how so many pieces of luggage could have been overlooked and not loaded on our flight. Obviously there is a huge gap in their quality system to ensure mistakes like this are prevented."

It was ironic since it was 6am flight and the plane was half empty. It left a bad taste for us and we are not sure if it was kayak fault or sas."

Negativ: "Why does SAS require passengers to use a kiosk to get boarding passes and luggage tags and then make you stand in a queue for 35 minutes just to drop off the luggage at de Gaulle airport in Paris."

Positiv: "The crew was very professional. Loved the tea and coffee service! There were pillows, bottle water, blankets, and headphones waiting on our seats! New tv system. Had a great choice of movies, music, or games to enjoy."
Negativ: "There was not a lot of space when the seat in front of mine leaned all the way back. Had to crawl out. Made for a tight 8 hours on the plane!"

Positiv: "The 2 more senior steward and stewardesses were very professional"
Negativ: "The youngest stewardess seemed very careless about her work; the tone she had while addressing the passengers, the way she tied here hair braid so sloppy - almost looked like it was from yesterday or day before."

Positiv: "The check-in was really easy, I didn't even require to print out the ticket, really nice flight and travel. 10/10 would recommend"

Negativ: "arrived late to the airport (my fault) but still in time to make flight. online check in wasn't working the day before. kiosks at airport wouldn't print a boarding pass although it said i was already checked in and nobody was at the desk to print me a boarding pass. dissapointing experience to say the least. ended up missing my flight and only being refunded the tax (about 20% of the total ticket cost)"

Negativ: "They left the cabin lights on for the first two or three hours of the flight in order to serve a meal, which felt unnecessary because the flight left at 10:05 pm, and I was trying to sleep for the whole flight to avoid jet lag."

Negativ: "I will never use kayak again. Your flight offerings make no sense, take twice as long to get anywhere. I give you an F"

Negativ: "Food and beverages were offered only once, meaning I had one partial glass of water on a 2-hour flight."
