Also, my husband spilled his drink; one of the attendants said he was too busy to help with cleanup. Fortunately, another attendant came over after my husband went to the galley to again ask for assistance."

We had no say in the rebooking - they just said wait you will get an email. The SAS workers need to be trained - how about putting up a sign that says "this line for parking vouchers ony'ly" when 300 people are lined up for assistance."

Negativ: "Got delayed 13-hours in an airport with no SAS staff present to communicate anything to all of the passengers. We were not accommodated with hotel vouchers or provided with alternative travel options to our final destinations and missed flights. SAS did not cancel the flight after the first 4-hours of delay which is illegal by EU Standards. None of us were able to leave the airport as we were not told any information about potential flight departure times and it would have been $2000 to re-book with a different airline. No answers were given by SAS over the phone and their staff seemed unaware of any problems."

They only came around ONCE with the beverage cart! (and this was like an hour and a half before they served dinner, which didn't include a drink). They also only came around and offered water ONCE on the flight. Normally this would be every 1-2 hours. Also, the flight was delayed by about 2 hours, and they didn't make an announcement until we were about an hour late. Thankfully, I was getting updates from Kayak, or else I wouldn't have even known we were delayed."

Positiv: "Overall everything was good - I have travelled frequently with LOT in the past few months and this was perhaps the best experience so far. Boarding was easy enough - the flight was not fully booked so there wasn't the usual Central European pushing and anxiety during boarding. Flight crew are informative, cabin crew attentive and kind. Service and food were good."
Negativ: "Comfort on these long haul flights is not expected in economy - the seat next to me was free which came in very useful as the person in front of me reclined almost immediately and kept throwing himself about in his seat in vain attempts to get comfortable - I was able to move over so I wasn't disturbed by his person. Why they have reclining seats is a mystery - it doesn't make it appreciably more comfortable for the person reclining and it reduces leg room for the person behind, makes it more difficult to watch the screen (despite the tilting feature) and means that the tray table is resting on your knees during meal times."

Negativ: "Boarding at WAW was a joke - very disorganized and cramped gate area. Simple remedy is to give passengers guidance on where to line up for their assigned zone prior to boarding. No individual air ventilation - got hot and uncomfortable at times. Cramped economy seats - and if passenger in front of you fully reclines - your TV screen is almost in your lap. Hot meal included very rubbery chicken - obviously either overcooked or nuked too much. Attendants seemed indifferent or annoyed if you asked for individual attention outside of their normal rounds of serving drinks/etc (all I wanted was a Coke). I was essentially told to go to the back of the cabin and get my own drink... Upon arrival - de-planing took an eternity. We had a large group of teen band members traveling - who had scattered their instruments in overheads all around the plane. So anyone that was behind them had to wait until they figured out where all their stuff was stowed. OK - not necessarily LOT's fault - but again - a little thought and some hand's on guidance by the crew would have made it easier for the other passengers to get off the plane quicker after a 9 1/2 hour flight..."

Positiv: "Flight was good. Warsaw is a well organized airport and easy for transit passengers to negotiate. Flight crew, staff were all helpful and approachable. The captain gave passengers relevant information and cabin crew did the same. Flight was problem free no turbulence no delays no just well run and well organized."
Negativ: "Leg room - I know in economy you can't expect much but passengers are really cramped on the 787. 9 hours of sitting in a very restricted space with little opportunity to get up and about if you are hemmed in between two fellow passengers - and once the idiot in front of me had reclined his seat it became very uncomfortable. I don't frankly see why seats need to recline at all - it does not make it much more comfortable for those "reclining" and certainly makes it considerably worse for the person sitting behind. I also don't understand LOT's boarding process - it didn't make much difference but if you are assigned a ZONE 3 boarding number and it is never displayed and never called, what"s the point."

Positiv: "The in-flight food service was perfectly fine. I also thought the entertainment options were of good quality. Perhaps a bit limited but there were movie options for a variety of tastes, including mine!"
Negativ: "The seating was rather cramped. I'm 6'4 so I'm used to the lack of space however my neighbors on this flight were highly inconsiderate of all neighboring passengers. Rather than help with the situation the cabin crew seemed to take special delight in crashing into my knees. Combine that with a steady barrage of hip checks to my left shoulder and this was a bruising flight."

Positiv: "Overall very good - no complaints. LOT is comparable with Lufthansa and KLM (the airlines I have most experience with) in terms of service and space. Boarding in Warsaw was chaotic - no announcements it just sort of started, I was in Zone 3 but there were only lines for Zones 1 and 2. The usual Central European pushing into the line. Flight was nice, smooth and good service. Leg room is limited but that is to be expected on any airline and flight. Would fly LOT again happily. On time, Captain made regular announcements. I arrived safely, as did my luggage. Can't wait for the direct service between Chicago and Budapest."

Negativ: "When I handed over my boarding pass, I was told I had to walk seven gates away for an "extra security check." I am 71 years old and don't run well. I only object to the fact that they did not have the security check available at the boarding gate - or they might have called my name and sent me over there well before beginning boarding. They did assure me they would wait for me but I was the antepenultimate person to board the plane and quite upset by the whole thing."

We had frequent flier tickets and when I checked in, the screen stated no extra charge for check in bags and I also called the customer service. When I got to the airport in Hamburg, they wanted to charge me $100 for a bag. I asked the lady behind the counter to call the main office because she said she has no authority to change the fee. I called the main office and had the person in office tell the agent at the airport that it is a mistake and that there is no charge."

Negativ: "Kein Essen und keinerlei Service im Flugpreis enthalten: einzige Ausnahme: 2x Gratis Getränke auf der Langstrecke zwischen Boston und Reykjavik (selbiges auch zwischen Reykjavik und New York). Sitze sind in etwa so gemütlich wie bei Kurzstrecken Billigfliegern - also gar nicht. Das Personal hat durchgehend auf allen 4 Flügen meiner Reise mit Iceland Air auf isländisch vor sich hin getratscht, während dem Flug und auch am Ende zur Verabschiedung, zusätzlich waren die Englischkenntnisse des Bordpersonals meist eher rudimentär. Werbung für einen Stopover in Island bekommt man überall, vor allem innerhalb des Entertainment Programms welches sich nicht einschalten lässt ohne das man einen 5,5 minütigen Werbefilm anschauen muss. teils zieht sich das weiter wenn man einen Film ansehen will. Icelandair hatte uns einen Flug mit 30 Min Umsteigezeit gescheduled - was mich sehr nervös gemacht hat als wir dann Verspätung am Rollfeld hatten und dann noch Bus fahren mussten. Der Anschlussflieger hatte sein Boarding bis kurz vor Abflug geöffnet und wir haben es dann easy geschafft. Man muss auch erwähnen, dass es in Reykjavik mangels Sitzmöglichkeiten einfach ewig lange Schlangen gibt in die man sich einreihen muss. Wenn man auf den günstigen Preis verzichten kann: nie wieder Iceland Air!"

Icelandair offers a free checked bag for Economy standard and everything above, but not for light. We assumed we had standard because Kayak just said ‘Economy’ and found out later we had to pay for an expensive checked bag. Very disappointed in Kayak’s lack of communication and misrepresentation of the ticket we were booking."

Bei einer 10-stündigen Reise eine Zumutung. Getränke Auswahl war mangelhaft, vom angebotenen Sortiment waren einige Getränke nicht verfügbar. Mir wurde im vollen Flugzeug ein Sitz in der letzten Reihe gegeben, dessen Rucklehne nicht verstellbar war. Zusammengenommen war es die schlechteste Erfahrung eines Fluges in den letzten Jahren. Ich werde definitiv nicht mehr mit Icelandair fliegen."

Ended up in the front of the plane with lots of legroom and a comfortable seat. First round of drinks they provided the whole can of soda, almost unheard of on flights anymore."
Negativ: "Boarding process was a cattle call. No boarding by back of the plane to the front or any organization, just a mass convergence on the boarding gate. If you're going to offer food on the plane for sale, at least take cash for the purchase. The only way you could buy food was to use plastic. Not a great selection of movies on the entertainment line up. The screens and volume control were quite decent, just not a large selection to choose from"

Positiv: "More relaxed travelling experience that with many other airlines. From check-in right through transfers and to arrival my experience was very positive. Staff were friendly and helpful. There weren't any real occasions where I needed something changed or sorted, which shows that the pre-work was excellent and works. Thank you."

They expect you to upgrade (and pay) for 'economy comfort' in order to get the meals and seating included in most other regular economy tickets. I don't think that being on a 6.5 hour flight (and a 3.5 hour flight immediately before without chance of making puchases at the airport in between, due to their delay) without a meal being included in your ticket is acceptable practice. They had a meny from which you could purchase food, things like baguette with ham/cheese, salad, oatmeal, instant noodles etc. But the prices for these cheap cafeteria options were insane. From the cheapest ($7 for a small instant oatmeal) to $16-$20 for a salad or small main course you would have to spend an additional 25-35$ per meal per person to get the usual airplane meal that all other airlines I know of include (2 per overseas flight). We did go hungry, eat candy, bought one little oatmeal and pretty much will avoid Iceland Air for that reason in the future. We thought it was outreageous to be asked to spend this amount of money or go without food for over 9 hours."

Positiv: "The seats were roomy and comfortable, there was legroom. The plane did not feel overstuffed even though it was a packed flight. I also liked how they gave messages on the monitors. Someone got sick on the flight and the crew was very professional about the whole mess."
Negativ: "Boarding was a mess ...not enough room for people to line up. Unclear if you were in the correct line for the flight you needed. More food selections for sale would have been nice, especially fruit and veggies but the sandwich they offered was very good. One crew member was just plain snippy...maybe having a bad day b/c all the others were great!"

Negativ: "The aircraft was too small- was kicked off the flight and rebooked for a different airline hours later"

Positiv: "On time arrival, smooth flight, efficient service, good price."
Negativ: "Seats lack sufficient padding in the back...second trip to Iceland, second back ache on the plane. And for a 5.5 hour flight, even a small snack or breakfast item would be appreciated. No food at all unless purchased separately isn't sustainable, even in this market, in my opinion. That and the seats just annoy people."

Positiv: "The seats had screens with movies/music/tv shows. The flight attendants were very nice."
Negativ: "The boarding process was hectic and unorganized. Nobody got extra time if they needed it. From the gate we took a bus to the plane but just as we pulled up the crew was getting in. We sat on the bus for 30 minutes and nobody communicated what was going on. The flight was very choppy and a bit scary at times. There were no snacks. I was not impressed at all."

Negativ: "Not even a complimentary snack was offered during the 7 hour flight, let alone a glass of wine or beer. These used to come standard. The entertainment system was also of poor quality in that the audio connection was damaged."

Positiv: "I enjoyed the leg room. There is also enough room to comfortably walk down the aisle between seats. I appreciated the little bottle of water handed out as I entered the aircraft. The crew was quite friendly."
Negativ: "Icelandair apparently has no schedule they stick to. We were consistently late leaving the airport, making us miss EVERY connection. I was not aware this was a no frills flight, meaning exactly that! No food or snacks, even for overnight flights. They charged $10 for a small, cold sandwich IF you preordered. Other than the water given upon entry, drinks were doled out sparingly, just a tiny cup per passenger."

Negativ: "our flight home was canceled without any email warning or any sort of message about it. We had to wait in the airport and call multiple people on our own to find out first, what was wrong, and two how to resolve the situation. It was not pleasant after waking up at 4AM to catch the flight in the first place."

Positiv: "Seemed like there was extra leg room, compared to our last flight on American, where my husband's legs were literally touching the seat in front of him when he sat down. I also appreciate when the headrests have those little wing things so it makes it easier to fall asleep in a chair by keeping your head in place. The blankets were cosy. The crew was super efficient. It's the fastest I have ever gotten my drinks on a plane. They also seemed to be very helpful to the family with small children ahead of us, and seemed to help the baby stop crying, which was nice."
Negativ: "I wish I knew in advance that we would have had to pay for food so that I could have gotten some food (because in general I assume for transatlantic flights that there are meals included. The boarding process was a bit jumbled, although still pretty efficient, but I think that's because of the airport layout rather than a fault specifically of the airline."

Positiv: "Super nice staff and crew. The gift shop at Keflavik has great creams, scrubs, etc. Good wine selection, good food. Charming safety video and other small touches."

Nach dem getränkeservice versammelt sich das Bordpersonal hinten im Flieger zum schnacken."

Positiv: "airlines could have mentioned that the second leg would require going thru security again and would take a very long time and that I should do this immediately after disembarking even though a gate had not yet been assigned. As A consequence of an intensive interview process before boarding the international leg of the trip (initially only two reps processing everyone on the plane for a few minutes each) the plane left the gate late. It also lost another 15 -20 minutes in flight making it 30 minutes late and I missed my connection in Miami necessitating me to spend a night in a motel and finish my flight the next day."

Positiv: "TAP serves edible cheese sandwiches. First time in years I eat plane food and don’t immediately regret it."
Negativ: "I travel with an international carry-on designed to fit in comoartments above seats in any and all planes (Tumi alpha 2 International), and yet TAP would claim it was too large to fit and forced me to check it. My problem is not only the wait once we land, but most improtsntly that the bags are beat up in the journey. Indeed, my carry-on arrived with several scratches on the plastic edges as well as some signs of worn on the textile. Because of this carry-on baggage size restrictions, I will not fly TAP airlines again (unless I can travel with my hand purse only)."

I will never fly with them again since the service is not great and this charge made the overall cost of the trip more expensive than traveling with a better airline."

Other airlines such as emirates, ethiad, virgin Australia all make a person feel welcome with great attention to detail international flight from Europe to the US. I will never fly air Europa again as I feel they are dishonest. The charge for the headphones is ridiculous when the entertainment is limited (most tv series will have one episode and the shows are old) The food was sub par. The sandwich with one sliver of ham was pathetic and the main meal was lacking with only chicken and rice, a small desert, no fruit/ salad and or crackers with cheese which is the norm on international flights."

Negativ: "They didn’t even give water without charging for it. Water is a basic need The hidden baggage fees. I was informed at checkin that I wasn’t allowed a checked bag from Amsterdam via Madrid to Miami. It is the first time I have ever flown internationally where you don’t get 1 bag at least to check in. The. The fee was €150 one way to check a bag. I feel that the airport should have disclosed more clearly that the fair did not include luggage. I can understand for some short haul flights people can choose to take luggage but international long haul is just heap and dishonest"

The boarding was just line up and board there wasn't any announcing or organizing by row or otherwise. We eventually all got on and ended up at the same place, it was just chaotic."

Negativ: "Beim Online-Check-in ist es nur möglich, die Boarding-Karten auszudrucken und nicht aufs Handy zu senden. Wer nimmt schon seinen Drucker mit in den Urlaub! Deshalb stand am Check-in-Schalter dann eine Mega-Schlange an, obwohl der Online Check-in vorher schon erfolgt war. Schlechte Englischkenntnisse des Flugpersonals. Kopfhörer für die Fernseher müssen gekauft werden (2,50 €). Der Verkauf beginnt jedoch erst eine Stunde nach dem Start. Bis dahin kann man sich mit Lippenlesen beschäftigen. Die Kaffeebewirtung wurde ab der Hälfte des Flugzeuges unterbrochen wegen Turbulenzen. Verständlich! Nur wurde der Rest der Passagiere danach nicht mehr bedient. Wer unbedingt Kaffee wollte, konnte einzeln in der Besatzungskabine nachfragen. Die Toiletten müssten bei einem Langstreckenflug unbedingt zwischendurch einmal gereinigt werden."

Positiv: "The flight was half empty which was great as i had 3 seats for myself. Everything was on time and functional. The crew was polite and nice."

Positiv: "Beide Flüge (FRA-Madrid und Madrid-Mallorca) waren pünktlich. Da wir in Madrid über 5 Stunden Aufenthalt hatten, sind wir mit dem Taxi zum Prado gefahren und haben uns 2 1/2 Stunden dort die wunderbare Gemäldesammlung angesehen. Das Personal war höflich und freundlich."

Negativ: "Die Sitze waren ungemütlich und nicht weit genug zurückklappbar. Die Kopfhörer waren kostenpflichtig. Man musste sich seine Getränke ständig selbst holen."

Negativ: "I booked a flight from Lisbon to JFK with a stopover in Madrid. Instead of going to JFK, my flight landed in Boston. There was no AirEuropa representative in Boston. The state police told all of the passengers that we were considered stranded and that we had to figure it out ourselves and then seek reimbursement from AirEuropa. I had to take a greyhound bus in the middle of the night to get to NYC. It's as terrible as it sounds. I am filing a complaint with AirEuropa"

Positiv: "Maschine ist mit Verspätung gelandet, keine Durchsagen, keine Reinigung der Kaniene!"

Positiv: "Der Flug hatte zwar ein wenig Verspätung aber das nette Personal auf dem Flughafen und die unkomplizierte Abfertigung haben das wieder herausgerissen."

Negativ: "A two-hour fog delay in London assured me that I wouldn't make my connecting flight to New York. Both the Air Europa desk attendants at the airport and the customer service agent on the phone took no action, telling me simply that they would take responsibility in Madrid, where I had a layover. Sure enough, I missed the connection, and the Air Europa staff in Madrid were even less helpful, showing practically no problem-solving ability and even less empathy. In the end, I couldn't leave Madrid until 24 hours later and had to cancel half of my weekend plans in New York, frustrating friends and family who were expecting me. Overall, this was a nightmare experience. The indifference shown by Air Europa staff was outrageous."

Negativ: "I'm curious with Air Europa for not thoroughly detailing me at the time of booking about the extraneous and very unreasonable check-in baggage fee for €60!! For checkin in 1 bag at the counter! The website was deceptive in its wording with 1 baggag is free and the rest has a fee. Therefore, i understood that i didn't have to purchase a check in luggage fee. That right there is living expense that I depended on for my trip. Thanks Air Europa! The check-in agent and another Air Europa representative at the Madrid airport did little to anull my fee that I felt mislead about. That was terrible customer service! I tried to give my flight a chance, but the touch down landing was probably one of the worst jolted sloppy touchdowns I've experienced. I looked around to see other's surprised reaction. I don't know of how Air Europa stocks or current state of economy are; but after dropping €60 for 1 checked in luggage, I'd expect a free beverage or light snack provided. Even the hot tea was €2.50. Im not happy and warning other's not to use this airline."
