Agents had no clue where to direct passengers and gave incorrect directions that necessitated more waiting. No updates to new flight time in the business class lounge. Once the flight was in the air, service was terrible. Attendants would ask for orders, then never bring them or bring the wrong thing."

Positiv: "It's not the cheapest way to fly but it's a great way to cross the Atlantic. Seats are big enough for 2, really. Lay flat beds make the night crossing east tolerable. You really can get several hours sleep. The cabin crew is outstanding, patient, and extremely responsive to requests. Two meals served were excellent. Entertainment choices were complete. After a number of flights in Economy on other airlines I'm spoiled by Singapore Airlines and also by Business Class. And their fares seemed much less than others for the JFK to FRA route. Had no idea this level of luxury existed on an airplane."

Singapore restored our upgrade at the airport but only on one direction so we had to go through it all again."

Negativ: ""Customs" at JFK came to an entire halt. All passengers where stuck in the welcome hall for 1h, without any information, why held there and why nothing was moving forward. All CBP booths were closed, but 8 (eight!) employees, who normally direct arriving passengers to the kiosk-machines where hanging out in two groups sharing private stories and having laughs instead of at least informing passengers, what was going on. Lots of passengers where outraged...a couple in their mid 70s in front of us had to sit down on the floor, since they had circulation problems from standing in line so long. Sadly, JFK isn't what it used to be anymore."

(2) checked in, dropping off bags. Some of us who had checked in online was trying to drop off bags only. After waiting 1.5 hours, this line isn't moving at all, while the checking in line was moving. Tried telling the gentlemen in charge who worked there that the checked in line dropping off bagguage was not moving, he didn't really care, they made all kinds of excuses saying other people were waiting, so they were completely clueless as to what was going on. I have never experienced this ever and I fly massively each year. First and last time in Etihad. JFK to Abu Dhabi is a good 13 hour flight. NO SNACKS. SG/BA, or any other airline really has nice sandwishes, ramen, chocolate, cookies, chips. Etihad has NOTHING. Not that I snack but still with a 13 to 14 hour flight, airlines should have something to eat during long flights. Really. Etihad who brands and advertises brilliantly, was extremely disppointing to actually be on the flight."

I GET THATS IT DIFFICULT TO TRAVEL WITH BABIES AND KEEP THEM ENTERTAINED WHICH IS WHY ITS BETTER TO BE AROUND OTHER PARENTS IN THE SAME SITUATION. THEY CAN SUPPORT EACH OTHER."

They never called for general boarding, just eventually started accepting people who got impatient. The entertainment options were the worst I've seen on an international flight in a while."

Negativ: "AirCanada did not tell me that I needed a transit visa for Canada. So I couldn't board the flight. They also refused to reroute me or refund the ticket. They were not sympathetic or helpful."

Negativ: "Seating - I had to ask for a different seat as I am a tall large man who does not like to sit in the middle. Seating was changed upon request."
Positiv: "Excellent service throughout the flight"
Negativ: "I had my checked baggage held up in Calgary for one day. Then on the way back it was held up again in Calgary. This time it took 6 days,and no one could tell me where it was. It will be my first and last Air Canada flight."
Positiv: "Flight attendants were friendly and considerate. Food was satisfactory and timed appropriately. Entertainment device worked and offered adequate variety. The aircraft itself was clean and comfortable. It was not overly air-conditioned as aircraft tend to be."
Negativ: "Boarding was slow and confusing: verbal instructions conflicted with posted signs, and it was hard to choose the right lines. Arrival in Canada was a nightmare! Customs and security were confusing, inefficient, and staffed by people who had little patience. There was much yelling and running around., there appeared to be little sympathy or concern for the dozens of passengers who were attempting to make connecting flights, and it was ridiculous to announce that security closed at 9p.m. .when there were planes on the runway awaiting connecting passengers and people with boarding passes who were not allowed to catch their flights."
Positiv: "Surprised at the quality of the vegan meal. It was roomy enough for coach economy travel.Good variety of in flight entertainment."
Negativ: "Wish they would of had an option to purchase something to eat also."
Positiv: "Staff were very nice"
Negativ: "2 out of 4 of my meals were incorrect. I had asked for vegan meals and 2 of them were clearly not vegan."
Positiv: "The flight attendants were kind and helpful!"
Negativ: "This was the last leg of a 24 hour journey from Venice to Seattle for my sister and me. After having a 3 1/2 hour layover, our plane was supposed to leave at 6:30 PM and kept getting delayed. One of the biggest frustrations was the lack of communication by the staff! We could see them at the counter where our gate was but no one would come out and talk to us! Our plane finally got off the ground at 8:30 PM!"
Negativ: "My luggage is lost and I still don't have it!"
Negativ: "With one hour between the connections, we had to run thru to the gate to get the boarding pass. The agent said that one of the passengers was off-loaded !! We had seats at different locations even though the reservation was for two passengers !! Barely had time to board the plane."
Positiv: "nice, helpful staff relatively organised boarding"
Negativ: "very little selection in movies tight quarters food tasted old and was little: shredded carrots as salad and probably best part of meal"
Negativ: "need more room in economy class."
Positiv: "Customer service was very good, friendly, and accommodating."
Negativ: "The individual entertainment consoles had to be turned off several times to reboot. Sadly several of us didn't have reception for most of the flight."
