Compared to other similar hotels, the price was really fantastic. Rooms are charming and large if a bit dated, and wifi isn't strong enough in the rooms to really make use of. There's no actual lobby - the downstairs level is a luxurious restaurant, so it's sometimes awkward to go back and forth to your room, particularly if you're dressed schlubby. That said, the staff were really, really friendly and helpful and helped us figure out the best use of our time in town.Positiv: The staff was extremely charming, friendly, and funny, and the location - right on the waterfront - was perfect.Negativ: While there is technically parking in front of the hotel, it's difficult to arrange; realistically, it's much easier to park about 300m away in a lot for which you need to pay between 8am-8pm. If you're only staying one night, this is cost effective.
This is a small hotel with both a restaurant and hotel managed by the same family. It can appear chaotic at times but the management knows you and remembers you from check in. We rented their lake view apartment(annex) which had been recently refurbished. It was very basic but clean. Since we were there during a heat wave, it was warm but the breeze at night was helpful if the windows were open. overall, we enjoyed our stay.Positiv: Location was great- close to ferry terminal. Very good restaurant on patio and second floor terrace with view of lake. had basic apartment with patio and small kitchen. Had view of Lake Como through alley. had wi-fi.Negativ: had to walk up two sets of walkway steps to reach apartment. No air conditioning. Thought lake view would be better. It would be helpful if they provided more information about the hotel amenities.
