Superb

We rented a villa with two bedrooms en-suite on the first floor and a sofa-bed (not bad, comfort wise) on the ground floor. The ground floor had its own small bathroom so there were three bathrooms for three couples. The kitchen had all basic appliances and cookware so we managed to cook our own meals. The staff is lovely. Pools were clean and nicely kept.

Cleaning could be better. We found some hairs and stains in the main bathroom but nothing too gross. It was a shame that we didn't manage to try the restaurant out (it was fully booked).

Very cool hotel worth visiting!

The breakfast was fairly uninteresting. The hotel probably needs a bit more time to adjust to the new circumstances. Even so it was not good enough and we only ate there once.

Peaceful resort with great pool and friendly, helpful staff. Located near some of the Algarve's most beautiful beaches.

The hotel was very well prepared for visits/stays during these current times. We felt comfortable during our stay even with my elderly parents. Perfect!

only down fall was it wasn't in walking distance to anywhere.. luckily we had a car hire.. but would still visit again as do offer a shuttle service to the local town.

Lovely room , we had a suite , well worth it , very comfortable and clean . Nice Spa facility , smashing breakfast and the staff were all really nice . Nice wsrm outside pool , great pool bar with delicious snacks . The hotel as a whole was very well maintained , and Just 6€ Uber ride from Carvoeiro with it's ethora of dining options . Highly recommended .

Hmmmm , nothing

Very friendly staff, well organized. Incredibly good restaurant for dinners with a chef’a sampler menu. The suite was great and provided a lot of space. Big, comfortable beds. Very calm location and a bit remote, so you definitely need a car to get around. The spa area is awesome with a jacuzzi and sauna.

Perfect place for a relaxed holiday. Facilities looked great, the bed was super comfortable. Nice swimming pool and decent breakfast. The staff were fantastic overall, with a special word of appreciation to Bruno (at reception) for the amazing beach recommendations. We also had dinner there on one of the nights. While the menu did not offer many options, the food was of the highest standard, not to mention the amazing service we had by a gentleman named Jose Santos. I am overall impressed and likely to come back one day.

By looking at the pictures, I was under the misconception that all rooms would have a balcony. Unfortunately my didn't. The gym facilities need some work done. We had a Romantic package upgrade, which comes with a bottle of wine as well as strawberries and chocolate. Not only was the delivery date wrong(this was fixed), when it did get delivered it had a bunch of other fruits and not enough strawberries.

Loved the beautiful bedroom , clean and luxurious. The pool area was in a wonderful setting- very relaxing with beautiful trees The restaurant was delightful - great breakfast and romantic evening meal on outside terrace Was kindly accommodated with a ground floor room as requested for mobility reasons. Very nice quiet location , but transport definitely required.

The lovely walk in shower/ wet room was potentially great but there didn’t seem to be appropriate drainage for overspill water on the bathroom floor so it was a bit messy. There was no outside seating/ patio outdoor space with this particular room but as we only stayed for one night it wasn’t really an issue.

The bed is huge and the swimming pool is fantastic. Breakfast options are perfect!

The breakfast was delicious, great choice of options. The stuff was very friendly and helpful: "anticipates the client's needs before the needs are needed" (nice touch: lunch box for the guests leaving very early, before the breakfast is available). The green area around the hotel is good for the nice short walks (especially after the heavy breakfast). The pool is in good condition, with plenty of space around it. There are several amazing beaches close by (for people with cars).

The rooms were a bit dark - some improvements in the lighting are needed. It would be nice if there were some dishes, knives, bottle openers etc in the room - for guests who want to have some light meals inside or on the balcony (like fruits or cheese with wine).

The hotel did not seem to put any effort in meeting my early check in request. I reached at 12:15pm but had to wait until the exact check in time of 2pm. This is though guests check out at noon.

Very nice hotel quiet and away from all the hussle and confusion of Algarve in the summer. The standalone house was very confortable big and spacious with all you need for a family vacations. The garden and the 2 pools were Great and very well cared. Breakfast had a Great variety and fresh product. Was also a nice surprise to have free access ti the day spa, that I beleive only happens in low season

We had 2 small issues during our stay, first there was a family of 7 Cats in the house small garden, they invaded the chairs and long chairs were we rested. The staff after a call quickly sorted the issue by removing the good and water someone was giving them. Second issue was a lack of attention that could had Serious consequences, gladly ir did not, basically someone from the staff went to drop some pastery has a good bye and Thanks full gesture but left the door of the house open, we did not had any valuable things there and seems no one also entered the house but it could went wrong.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Andrea at the reception was very informative and willing to help. The cleaners did anamazing job and were excellent. The rooms were big and the facilities at the hotel are well looked after

The place is far from local shops and if you are not on a car it can be costly to get to and from the shops as well as the nearby town. If you love night life l.suggest you have a car or be ready take a taxi

Certainly a very good experience! Beautiful garden, perfect rooms with cosy balcony. Lovely beds, I slept like a baby! Very clean, personnel su-per friendly and professional; thank you so much!! Refreshing pool. Surroundings were fantastic if you're searching for calm, vines and pittoresk white villas in between the green of the palm trees. We both loved it. Super child friendly, and even baby friendly. We are seriously considering to come back here next year with our newborn.

Everything had a price. No exception for this class of hotels, though still somewhat disappointing, how cool would it be to be able to play pool for free, to receive free drinking water all the time, and to able to play tennis without havinf to pay these endless additional charges. Breakfast was certainly not bad, though not stunning either. Perhaps some room for improvement? Portugal has such a great culture in cuisine, this is not reflected in the breakfast.

Everything was good: Food (restaurant Serenata) & breakfast, swimming pool, room; all the property is beautiful and staff is very nice and helpful, especially Raquel explaining everything always with a smile!

We had our honeymoon stay and they surprised us by giving a champagne and fruit platter in our room.

Fantastic location, beautiful grounds of the hotel - we stayed in one of the Villas, and it was lovely. Beautiful pool, superb food at both restaurants, and lovely breakfast. The best part of this hotel is truly the staff - what a wonderful group of people. So happy to help you, warm and friendly, never too busy, and such attentiveness. What a difference it makes. We really hope to return, and highly recommend this hotel - especially to those travelling with young kids. Kids Club was amazing, and the entire place is both kid and adult friendly.

A wonderful discovery in a peaceful area with a nice park and 2 swimming pools...very restful, dinner was excellent and breakfast beside the swimming pool was superb !!! The kids loved the place including the outside gaming area in the park.

Decent breakfast (8am - 10:30am I believe), great massage + spa, great pool area. The surrounding grass and gardens were well-kempt. I enjoyed the bar as well.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. Especially Raquel from the infodesk helped us a lot by providing all the info we asked for. The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was decent. They have a little private wellness you can reserve for a 45 minute session (included in the room rate). The garden was lovely and well maintained, except for the pond maybe which was full of algae. The pool was clean and maintained daily as should be. There was enough parking space in front of the hotel. The famous beaches and the touristic centre of Carvoeiro can all be reached in less than 10 minutes by car.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. The staff were very helpful. As a lone traveller I felt safe in the hotel. I had no issues at all.

Our room was lovely, clean and modern with a balcony and mini bar couldn't fault it. Staff are friendly and helpful. Spa was also great! Lovely gardens and a free shuttle bus to town. Good food and brilliant service.

Fantastic healthy breakfast, kind and pleasant staff, including the spa therapist! We were given amazing restaurant recommendations by any staff member we asked.

Little extras like shampoo, conditioner, slippers and being more generous with towels would make a return trip 10/10. There was also a problem with our shower plughole being blocked which led to over flowing.

We wanted to visit Benagil cave. Therefore I booked this hotel. From this Hotel to Benagil cave is only 5min. and to Marinha beach (Praia da Marinha) is only 10min. by car. We had the Apartment 16, which is very big (two sleeping rooms and a big living room, 2 floors). The surroundings are very beautiful. The dinner at Hotel was excellent. Ths staffs were very friendly. The breakfast was Ok.

There is no Restaurant near the hotel. The next Supermarkts are about 15 Kilometer away. The address of this hotel 'Quinta Vale d'El Rei, 8400-421 Carvoeiro, Portugal' is not correct. the correct address is Quinta Vale d'El Rei, 8400-421 LAGOA, Portugal. We came from Lisbon and did find this address at first.

Good location for a retreat. Spacious rooms, clean bathrooms, quiet apartment overall, staff really kind and available for any questions. Beautiful garden and pool area, parking easy to access.; Very good and we were pretty relaxed after our stay.

Breakfast, it was really not good. Portugal has so many delicious and local goods I think they should invest on looking at the local producers and sourcing food from the real people there instead of just buying industrial stuff. It might even be cheaper if they make an effort and contact people from Algarve that can deliver fresh local things like oranges, jam, bread, ham, milk, butter, olive oil, eggs etc. It can also help economically the region, seeking for seasonal local produce. It's a suggestion of course, but guys check a little bit what's been done lately in the tourism industry and this will add up so much value to your offer ! I mean Portugal is a sunny spot on earth and I'm sure there is someone that plants oranges for real orange juice. If not, why not try and do your own "horta" ? ;-)

The breakfast was wonderful! It was great to have a breakfast buffet with lots of variety. The beds and sheets were amazingly comfortable and the hammock was a special touch. The gardens were beautiful and it was relaxing to walk around the grounds. We cannot wait to go back when the weather is warmer!

Heated pool, beautiful grounds. We stayed in a lovely villa. The property is in the countryside but not too far from the beach. We didn’t have a car but used uber to get around. Nice restaurants in Porches village which is close by.

location - its set in a rural location, no shops etc within walking distance, means its quiet and very relaxing. Walking distance to Marinha beach. restaurant - good quality local cuisine, great breakfast with lots of fresh fruit and fresh pastries. staff - friendly and welcoming. hotel - very clean nice spa area, 2 outdoor pools one heated outdoor pool. Good pillows and nice quality bedding. Dolce gusto coffee machine in the room. gardens - lots of walks around lush gardens with bird life and pond and steam with frogs.

only one bus a day into carveiro and returning in 4 hours if you want to discover other towns you will need a car standard room is a bit small, 2 people cannot easily pass each other between bottom of bed and dressing table area.

The pool is great for a relaxing dip. Breakfast was very good; the orange juice was ok . Daniel at reception was very helpful.

The coffee (preprocessed nescafe type machine production) was very poor. Given how good coffee is in every little baker shop/cafe in Portugal... would it hurt to have at least Nespresso or a real coffee like Delta?

Staff were excellent. Special mention for Daniel, Ana, Raquel and Sonia. The communication between the staff was faultless and ensured that our stay was comfortable and relaxed. Room service and breakfast very high quality. Only disappointment was that we were staying for just one night but will definitely return. Highly recommended.

Super clean throughout. Comfortable suite with large lounge/diner area & double balcony with sunset view. Too cold to use pool but looked very inviting. Outside gym also looked fun. Lovely breakfast choice, freshly squeezed orange was divine! Great location for touring the area & close to some lovely beaches/ cliff top walks. Need a car for full access to area although a shuttle service does run to the nearest coastal village. Very friendly staff & the surprise bottle of bubbly & chocolate cake left in our suite for my birthday was outstanding!

Great location, amazing grounds. The staff is incredibly friendly and nice. The buffet breakfast is very generous with a wide variety of cold meats, pastries, bread and fruit .... We were immediately upgraded to a suite without even asking for it. Very nice place. Totally recommend it.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The spa was really nice and the masseuse professional and friendly. We had dinner at the hotel a few nights and the food was really good. It was my husband's birthday and they surprised us with a cake and champagne in the room.

The gym had only 2 working machines and the WiFi receptions in the room was really bad.

Pool(s) pretty small. Promised breakfast package (we had to leave before breakfast started) was not prepared as promised. Dog in appartement next to us continuously barked. It is a very displeasing ...
