The main courses were mediocre and the "sandwich" offered between meals on the 13+ hour flight was cold, soggy and inedible. The seats on our A350 were hard and not very comfortable, and the recline function was difficult to operate. Security at the Doha airport was confusing. We had to go through 3 separate checkpoints for our transfer, each with different rules and procedures. The final check at our departure gate was the worst, with impatient officials giving hurried instructions in heavily-accented English, and scolding if passengers didn't understand. I was sent back through a second time to remove my camera from the bag (and to be scolded by the agent), and was patted down a second time coming back through the x-ray, which had green-lighted me both times. It made me wonder if this was a reaction to the extra scrutiny that Arab passengers receive from our airport security in the USA."

If the person in front of you is asleep during meal service, the FA (flight attendant) won't lift the seat and it may be a very uncomfortable meal experience. Other airlines will have the FA do it themselves. ...and you need to be careful about staying awake to get food (otherwise you can get forgotten)."

Attendants on this flight were very busy and very friendly. Check-in was run very efficiently. My check-through luggage arrived intact. Overall a good experience on a two-hour journey. Plane arrived about 10 minutes ahead of schedule, which is always a plus."

Partly due to the not being able to check bag straight through, multiple visits to counters, long lines for dropping off bag, and in ability to check in on line or on app from either Lufthansa or United. Negativ: "Wie üblich auf diesen kurzen Flügen keine Bordunterhaltung. Relativ wenig Sitzabstand wie sonst aber auch üblich (bei knappe 1,90m) wenn kein spezieller Sitz mehr frei ist."

Positiv: "I got super lucky and had three seats to myself, it's a long flight just over 12hrs and good sleep is precious. The entertainment options were excellent and I watched some great first run movies. Food was quite good with options, beverage service standard. Restrooms were readily accessible and "clean.""
Negativ: "We left SFO an hour late waiting for a handful of late passengers - good for them though, eh? The rest of the passengers on plane were packed in like sardines. Seemed to me that too much space on plane dedicated to the premium 'cabins' for the uber rich, but they were interesting to look at."

Negativ: "Ich bin klein und fand es beengend. Das überraschendste war aber das komplett fehlende Unterhaltungsprogramm. Nicht mal ein gemeinschaftlicher Monitor. Dies bei einem 4h Flug. Info über vorhandene Service( entertainment und food ) im Flug wäre wünschenswert."

Negativ: "Check in clerk was mean nasty and said several times we could not fly because we didn’t have our tickets rather then helping us use the airport printer to print our tickets she said you can’t print you ticket until you show me your ticket. She should be fired it was united airlines won’t fly them again"

Positiv: "Flight was delayed for luggage reasons? Seems weird. Gate was fine. Flight attendance did not do their jobs. Had to ask for water! Paid more attention to the men on the flight."

Positiv: "Business Class entsprach voll den Erwartungen, nur das erste Mal war der Flug rückwärts"

Negativ: "Delayed flights need to hold connecting flights and assist customers to the correct gate! Don't bother paying extra for Econo Plus....where do you store your bag that goes under the seat? Do you think the crew could help you? Probably not...."

Positiv: "Landing safely"
Negativ: "I upgraded to a seat right at the front. Still ended up in boarding group 3, no room for my overhead luggage so I had to put it half way back on the plane. My $45 upgraded seat wouldn’t recline because it was broken and I still had to pay to have a bad checked. Oh, and the flight attendant simply said “ok” when I informed her of my seat malfunction."

Negativ: "Long check-in time, bad in flight service, dalyed luggage arrival."

Positiv: "Delays because of fires , had to wait in line close to 90 minutes but when we finally reached the ticket counter the agent moved took great care of us and we made to Boise only an hour late even with all the delays and confusion . Excellent job , one of the better customer experiences I’ve had flying !"

Negativ: "Nicht sehr viel Platz, zu wenige Getränke über den Flugzeitraum, Personal nur mäßig freundlich, kein Boardentertainment am Platz nur über zentrale Lautsprecher aller 4-5 Reihen (Flug durchgeführt von United)"

Positiv: "Guter Komfort und gute Beinfreiheit zu den Vordersitzen so dass man auch nach einem Langstreckenflug von München nach San Francisco entspannt ankommt."

Positiv: "There was a mechanical delay that caused us to leave 1.5hr late. The gate team did a good job keeping us informed of what was going on."
Negativ: "Delay kept changing as they tried to fix the problems. Also, wifi did not work so I couldn't use free United entertainment via the app."

Negativ: "... und alles kostet extra: Bordunterhaltung, Essen, Bier."

Positiv: "Almost nothing"
Negativ: "This was a terrible flight. Entertainment system would not go off, no crew attention, we had 2 young kids and they could not sleep with the flashing TV in front of their eyes. Crew did not have the technical chops to even reset the system or try to. To add to the misery, we were seated in the last row where seats won't recline. If after flying 200k miles on United, I get this, I don't know what's worse! Very poor experience on United. Will just donate my miles."

Negativ: "my daughter and I didn't even have seats together...and the plane was not full. We spent $69 and $77 to get seats together and the seat backs didn't work, no TV screens, and my expensive purse was soaking wet when I retrieved it from under the seat. So gross. And of course the food was gross...but that's to be expected, I guess."

Positiv: "I didn't not make to my flight on time because I didn't know I need yo check in a day ahead but luckily there was another flight leaving over an hour and a staff was able change the flight for me without charging a fee. that was very nice. My seat was on three roll seats and there was another person was same roll and we share other seat and strength our legs."
Negativ: "In flight movies did not work."

Positiv: "Everything went well and we didn't crash. 10/10"

Positiv: "The crew was very good, very attentive."
Negativ: "Boarding went quickly but was very unorganized."
