Negativ: "The legroom was a problem. Seats are kind of narrow, and then, with the lack of legroom it’s somewhat challenging to shift your legs, especially when the seat in front of you goes back! I felt like the person was almost in my lap. My cup even got crunched. I think my biggest issue, though, lay in how I was treated after paying $127.00 to obtain a day pass for the lounge each way. For my inbound flight my purse was branded with an “economy” class luggage type tag, and I was made to feel as though I was trying to sneak in. I had to show my boarding pass a number of times to employees after asking for the location of the lounge in order to be directed there, and then my credentials were examined as though I was trying to get into Fort Knox. Upon arrival at the desk, I was somewhat tersely informed that I had 6 hours. I went out of my way a bit in order to fly Qatar, which is supposed to be so wonderful, and I was underwhelmed. I’ve had better experiences on Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines."

Passengers were divided in 5 lanes, depending on their seating area withing the plane (for a more efficient boarding, I presume) but, by the time we all got to the actual aircraft, we formed another queue in the boarding bridge so it didn't feel like any time was saved or anything."

Negativ: "Width and depth of seats - very small. I especially noticed the depth - very narrow. As usual bearly room between row in front. The food was very average. I ordered Asian vegetarian and got 3 meals almost identical. For dessert I also got a piece of melon and 2 cubes of pineapple 3 times. The bread roll was stale at best. Unfortunately on the long 13 hr leg we had a male staff member who wasn’t happy in his job and basically grunted at the passengers...He was also clearing the food trays and was very rough with it and I wore a container of somebody else’s custard all over me (luckily I had a blanket wrapped around Mel). He was more annoyed that zig also got the bottom of his trousers and shoes."

Ablauf für den Flug von Sydney nach Abu Dhabi sehr komisch. Start um 15:15, direkt eine Mahlzeit serviert, dann für 11 Stunden Licht aus. Kurz vor der Landung nochmal Essen (ca. 22:30)."

Negativ: "Boarding was chaotic. There was another Virgin flight leaving Launceston at the same time so the lounge was very busy. Our flight was late while the other was on time and there were no announcements that our flight was delayed. The screen over the gate also did not show our flight details at any stage, even when it eventually boarded.. I'm familiar with Launceston airport so it was okay, but for someone not familiar, especially an international visitor, it would have been confusing as to which flight was which especially as no announcement or visual display was given that our flight was running late."

Negativ: "On arrival at Sydney, discovered my bag damaged. The metal cage that holds the handle slider had been broken so they must have really thumped the bag. Re windows and cabin lighting. Flight left Abu Dhabi at 21:50, landed Sydney at 17:50 next day. The cabin was kept in darkness until 3pm Sydney time / 9am Abu Dhabi time. This only gave us 2 hours of daylight on Tuesday, terrible in trying to adjust to a new timezone!! Even going off Abu Dhabi time, why wait till 9am to turn on the lights and raise the windows? No-one sleeps that long and it creates too much darkness. Please turn on the lights and raise window shades a few hours earlier to help our body clocks adjust. The view of the world outside the window is also interesting! Re entertainment system: with some airlines you can use the entertainment system immediately on embarking but with Etihad you have to wait till airborne. Considering boarding begins an hour before departure, that is a long time to sit waiting without being able to use the entertainment system. Re comfort: I don't know why, but the Etihad A380 seats have this weird head rest on one side that can't be folded flat. I found it quite annoying. Also when you recline the seat, it also goes forward scrunching you towards the seat in front. I found the Emirates A380 seat a lot roomier and more comfortable."

There was no plane for people to board Abu Dhabi and were left stranded. Thankfully the airport staff re-booked everyone immediately and dealt with the situation efficiently in a professional way. I was delayed by at least 8 hours. There was no email from Etihad about the canceled flight or an apology. It was a bit disappointing given that they are my favorite airline."

Negativ: "The security check at the gate requires one to leave the comfort of the lounge early incase of queues and then wait in an over crowded lounge with the other passengers (so the fact you are business/first or have one world status does little to ease the burden of boarding. The lounge also did not offer red eye passengers a meal and the on board meal service is slow (so if you are hungry it eats into precious sleeping time). The breakfast wakeup was also disappointing. My meal of choice was not available and the whole process was rushed like a fast food restaurant. Overall I am disappointed by the club world offering on this route and would not pay for it again unless intended to get on and just sleep for the entire journey."

Maybe London airport problem, but both flights from London (at the start of holiday and at the end) were delayed. Nearly missed my connecting flight to NZ. Overall: Resent experience with BA and London Heathrow airport was to the extend that my future travel won't be with BA nor through London airport."

Positiv: "There was a lot of carry on luggage on this flight, like the one from Denver to Heathrow, but it was handled in a much better manner. We were invited to board early if we check in our carry on luggage. During the boarding process the crew gave continious reminders to place items under the seat which fit there, This lead to a very smooth boarding process."
Negativ: "No basic drinks and snacks were offered. Of cousrse, meal type foods cost money, but it should be possible to provide something to drink on or snack."

Negativ: "The AA flight from NYC was late arriving at Heathrow, causing me to miss the connection. AA/BA was very good about orienting me to the new plan, but the delay was very inconvenient and being in the last row of the newly arranged flight to Lisbon was downright unpleasant."

I thought these practices had stopped. only the employee at the gate managed to move us to be at least on the same floor of the plane. very disappointed."
