Would be nice to get a better estimate as to how long it would take to board so that I could hang out in the lounge. In addition, departure from JFK was delayed as well, either we missed the IFR window or got stuck behind some traffic and I fell asleep on the plane only to wake up what seemed an hour later just getting ready to hit V1. No upgrade."

Everything was fine with the flight. Terminal 5 caused delay with vehicles obstructing bus coming to pick us up. But flight & crew were great.

Boarding in Heathrow was a total mass due to staff shortages. 3 out of 4 flight legs were delayed, some considerably. Food is as always mediocre, but plentiful. IFE is a bit dated with imo poor movie choices. Cabin staff was always amazing, friendly and helpful. Always available and smiling, even through the mask. Very clean lavatories and comfortable seats in business, although the product does feel a little dated by now.

Die neue Business Class von BA ist sehr gut!

Die neue Business Class auf Langstrecke ist Klasse! Also die Kabine. Service wie immer sehr unterschiedlich. Board Bar (Self Service) war nach einer Stunde leer. Verpflegung war furchtbar! Es gibt keine deutschen Filme mehr :-(

Negativ: "Das Flugzeug bedürfte einer dringenden Generalüberholung. Viele Sachen war ausgeleiert, teilweise sogar zerfetzt. Der USB Connecter hing halber heraus. Eine Ablage im Mittelgang ging nicht mehr zu während des Fluges. Eine Stewardes hat dann mittels eines Schraubenziehers diverse Befestigungen nachjustiert, danach ging die Ablage wieder zu. Meine Frau hatte einen Rollstuhl für Heathrow bestellt, welcher bei der Ankunft nicht da war. Angeblich musste die Maschine ausserplanmässig an einem anderen Ort andocken. Das Handgepäck wird anscheinend nicht richtig geprüft beim Check-In. Mehrere Leute hatten so schwere Koffer dabei, dass sie 2 Leute brauchten um diese in die Ablage zu wuchten. Das Video-Angebot ist sehr dürftig und auch speziell für Deutsche Sprache kaum vorhanden. Auch die Screens sind absolut nicht mehr der technischen Möglichkeiten der Zeit entsprechen."

I don't have any of these issues when I fly on United. If you want me to fly on American more than I suggest you fixed them."

Bordunterhaltung gabs nur in Oben alle 3 bis Sitzreihen einen TV dort konnte man Film schauen, nicht nach eigener Wahl. Sonst konnte man Film und Unterhaltung im Händy oder schauen Tablet herunterladen.Brauchst einfach gute Batterien dafür es gab keine Auflade Möglichkeiten, nur am Airport."

Width of economy seat was tightest I've ever experienced, with the arms of the seats literally right at my legs, nearlt digging in. The leg room was very short with my knees nearly touching the back of the seat in front of me. When i put my tray down, it actually rested on my knees, and was not level because it pitched up due to longer legs (and I'm only 5'9). This was a long haul, 8 hour flight. I've never beeñ so uncomfortable on a flight in my life, and have never counted the minutes I could get out. Seemed obvuous that meal service had taken a hit when corporate looked for places to cut expenses, its one of the lower quality meals. If compared with an international carrier, the food was really sub par. Mostly really friendly crew members, unfortunately, one who really didnt seem to enjoy the job any longer."

I paid extra for seats so that we could all sit together. The seats were given to others and my family could not sit together. The American Airlines employees were not helpful at all! The agent, Rowna, lied to us that we would be sitting together. They will not reimburse me for paying extra for seats that I did not get. The porter that pushed my mother in the wheelchair was more helpful than any employee."

It was only because we got to the airport early did better seats mysteriously become available. Even after selecting seats they still tried to get us to pay for "better" seating."

This caused us to wait 1 hour in San Antonio for our bags to show up on the next Houston flight!"
Positiv: "Made a 50 minute connection (from Milano) flawlessly. We were going to SFO and the LAX connection was even closer, but United/Lufthansa helped those passengers with expedited transport. Impressive. In contrast, we missed a SFO-Frankfurt-Nairobi connection a few months ago due to VERY sloppily organized security clearance there (and no help from Lufthansa). Moral: Don't try for transfer times less than 2+ hours in Frankfurt when coming from the States no matter what United/Lufthansa says!"

It was a code shared flight between Lufthansa and United and each airline kept sending us to the other to get any answers or help. neither were helpful. It made it for an extremely frustrating experience."

Several of us ran to where the flight gate was but the plane already left. It turns out other people were also called and turned down United’s offer. So the question is since our flight was purposely overbooked did United take advantage of our situation and just leave and cause all of us great pain and duress with no compensation for all of our inconvenience."

There was no one from United to talk to at the Hamburg Airport, and multiple Lufthansa agents said they had no control over the United flights, and could not contact them either. We weren’t able to get food at the Munich airport because we had to go through a second passport control just before the gate, and there was no food. The automatic snack machine only took Euro coins and not bills or credit cards. Then the crew was a little snippy and unfriendly. Not a great experience overall."

Negativ: "I was pulled out of line when trying to board at the gate for not having a 'stamp' on my boarding pass which would tell them I went through security (even though I had gone through three levels of security!) I was sent back to a gate that had no idea what I was talking about and I became frantic, as my son was about to board a flight that I could not. I finally found what was needed (after being sent through the line and patted down this time!) and I ran back to the gate to be the last person on the plane. It was nerve wracking to say the least. Also my son's video touch screen was not working properly. I realize that it is hard to keep these operating well, with all the use they get, but it was annoying as this happened on the flight over as well."
Negativ: "We waited in line to check baggage because it was Lufthansa and got to the front before finding out it was a united flight. No where did it say United check in. Just aggravating."

Negativ: "The ‘third world’ arrival handling by IAD. Ragged transporters. No intercom service or effort whatsoever to advise pax of apparent problem at main terminal. Turned off transporter engine and left us on the tarmac breathing diminishing air in the module and wondering what was going on. Mobile passport service ‘not working’ at jam-packed immigration. Luggage retrieval frustrated by problems or incompetence and finally located at an undesignated conveyor area. No kudos to IAD. All kudos to Lufthansa/UAL. One Exception was my ‘by chance’ immigration agent who for the first time ever for me at IAD said “welcome home” as he waved me on."

No information provided ahead of time, to alert me to arrive at the boarding gate early for the extra screening. After I passed through the extra security screening at the gate in Munich, and then went to the counter to complete the extra passport check and security questions, I was asked to step aside and wait. No one told me why. I had to insist on an explanation to the airline staff, and realized there was a mistake - they thought I had not gone through the extra security screening before going to the passport check counter, but I had. This created extra stress and delay for me, as this took place when boarding had started. Respectfully, I suggest that staff is more communicative."
