Impressive. In contrast, we missed a SFO-Frankfurt-Nairobi connection a few months ago due to VERY sloppily organized security clearance there (and no help from Lufthansa). Moral: Don't try for transfer times less than 2+ hours in Frankfurt when coming from the States no matter what United/Lufthansa says!"

The day of the flight our connection flight was delayed we were told someone would escort several of the passengers from Lufthansa to the connection with United no one was there. Several of us ran to where the flight gate was but the plane already left. It turns out other people were also called and turned down United’s offer. So the question is since our flight was purposely overbooked did United take advantage of our situation and just leave and cause all of us great pain and duress with no compensation for all of our inconvenience."

After I passed through the extra security screening at the gate in Munich, and then went to the counter to complete the extra passport check and security questions, I was asked to step aside and wait. No one told me why. I had to insist on an explanation to the airline staff, and realized there was a mistake - they thought I had not gone through the extra security screening before going to the passport check counter, but I had. This created extra stress and delay for me, as this took place when boarding had started. Respectfully, I suggest that staff is more communicative."

Positiv: "As I boarded Air India New Delhi to San Francisco, I felt it like a "senior citizen " flight. Most of my time went into connecting with elderly people around. Most of them were first time travelers. Curious ,anxious , innocent and slow learners ; I enjoyed helping them out with tinny tiny tech bits. The collection of Indian music , movies was good to , suiting to Indian taste ! And the food was good !"
Negativ: "Boarding the Air India New Delhi to San Francisco was one of the most adventurous experience for me! The Mumbai - New Delhi journey was short and sweet ! As the connecting time was around 2 hrs , I had to rush to board the next flight. The connecting bus to the airport made me wait for a long time and I reached the gate quite late after the boarding was over! And after all this drama where I rushed and ran through ,crossing the domestic airport ; there was a long queue for general security check. I ran to the immigration , rushed through the security check. And finally reached the gate. I forgot , I am pregnant ! I was told there , I will have to shift to another seat due to "emergency" exchange reason ! Oh gosh ! I felt , I deserve a round of applause for making it there and I was offered an exchange ! It's unbelievable, but the flight got delayed by 3 hours! Yes, you read it right , by three hours ! The crew members were not that prompt and welcoming ! The flight toilets weren't sufficiently equipped with the necessities. They was no hot water flowing through many taps, seat-covers were missing, even the basic toiletries were."

Negativ: "Extrem langsames Checkin in Dheli, schlecht organisiert, überfordert, man plant besser 1 Stunde mehr ein als üblich Die Möglichkeiten nach der Sicherheitskontrolle kalte Getränke etc. für den Flug zu bekommen sind bescheiden, aber man sollte trotzdem Vorräte besorgen, die Bordverpflegung ist nämlich finster, es gibt 1x Getränke (warm aber mit Eiswürfeln) und danach nur noch Tee, Kaffee oder warmes Wasser. Das Essen ist entsprechend auch mieser als der sonstige Mikrowellenkram. Es gab genau 1 deutschsprachigen Film im Bordprogramm."

Negativ: "At first, Air India checked our bags and made us wait for approx 4 hours in airport saying flight delayed and later after 4 hours said flight is cancelled and told everyone to go back home and come back next day to their office that is located away from the airport to rebook the ticket and they did not offer to refund the ticket. They never gave us our bags until after 8 hours something. They never cared of anyone for the entire 12 hours while we were in the airport. We had to spend our money to eat during the 12 hours time spend waiting and ended up booking a hotel room and buy another ticket from a different airline as Air India said they will not be sending us to the next flight as that is for the new passesngers only. Unbelievable experience. We had several stuff tied up to do once we arrive and we went through a nightmare to figure out several items. We did not have phones to communicate and had to go through hell to find a phone to talk with our kids who spend lot of time buying us the hotel room and air tickets for the next day on a different available airline."

Food is typically made for economy class. You get what you pay. But I do have a choice taking other Air liner with new fleet of Air craft. I think I am going to do that."
Negativ: "The flight crew did not do a check before takeoff. There were many seats in the recliner positions, the were children and adults standing during takeoff. When the meal was served there was good all over the cabin floor and hot coffee was spilled on my hand and lap while the flight crew was serving the person next to me."

But once we went to take our boarding passes, we were surprised that customer care representative put different seats. I had repeatedly asked the guy who was charging for extra seat and he confirmed 17D & 17E, but it was 17 & 27. Whole purpose of paying more was defeated."

Negativ: "At the time of checkin, the attendendent offered me Business Class for a nominal fee. I said yes to the offer. Typically, the attendant will simply swipe your card, and receive your boarding pass. Well, the attendant could not swipe my card, but said I had to go to the ticketing office. To keep a long story short, I was escorted all through Chandigarh Aiport, went to 2 different offices on the opposite side of the aiport. Had to go through a rough security process once again. The whole ordeal for the upgrade took 45 minutes, with most people speaking Hindi. This was not a Business Class experience!! Although the plane was a newer A320, the seats were dirty. The inflight entertainement did not work. And the Business Class food was not very tasty and were small serving size. I wasted my money on the Business Class experience."
