It was fixed pretty quickly and meanwhile a rep. from Delta boarded the plane, apologizing for our inconvenience and handed out Jolly Ranchers. REALLY? After that, she and the flight attendants did give us a free drink/headset coupon. That would have been nice but it expires Dec. 2017 and the flight attendant stopped serving drinks about half way down the aisle because the flight was so short. The coupon will be of no use to me. I finally got to Raleigh about 9:30...I booked the flight so I wouldn't have to drive at night.. Sigh....Delta used to be my favorite airline."

This was compounded by sitting next to a man so large that part of my space was taken, and this was Delta Comfort. Have traveled with V.A. to Florida for over 15years. Unfortunately post covid or flights were disappointing. We really miss the Jumbo as the new planes are smaller & grotty. We traveled out “first class” - it was anything but first class. There is now a third row of seats and the bar that had been in the first class cabin was gone. They ran out of meal choices- cobbled together a cream tea as they ran short of those too. There were no small bottles on the way out. The only thing pleasant about our outward journey was the staff who were lovely. Our return journey was Premium Economy, it was 100 times worse. The food was disgusting & once again they ran out of meal choices. There were no snacks ( pretzels) with our drinks - this time there was only two pleasant stewardesses the rest were “unfriendly “ bordering on rude!! We used to get a nice bottle of water in the back of our seats - pre covid these bottles had shrunk to half size & now non existent? We were offered a plastic cup of water- which we had to sit between our seats when the lights went out & unseen after several hours - got knocked over!! This never happened with the bottles? To add insult to injury Virgin have switched the Orlando flight to Edinburgh- we flew over Glasgow on the way out & the way back and spoke to several people who were just as unhappy as we were- what was wrong with Glasgow? Honestly Virgin have lost the plot- old aircraft -( on the way home) unpleasant Manchester crew ( what’s wrong with a Scottish crew from Scotland?) Unfortunately in the north of the UK we’re not spoiled for choice the only direct flights being Virgin (now Edinburgh) or as my son advised Tui - who apparently do I very good Premium Economy from Glasgow. Given my recent experience- I feel that my 20 years travelling with Virgin may have come to an end!
We had a 6.10hrs delay in New York and for people like us who started this journey from London before 8am GMT travelling it children it was not the best. However, the airline provided meal, hotel and transportation vouchers for people who could not wait.
Didn’t enjoy this flight at all, we were separated from our kids even though there were empty seats next to them. The quality of the food was terrible, dry, tasteless and just awful. The entertainment system didn’t work and kept freezing, i had to ask 5 different members of the crew to reset it. The crew looked dis-interested in their work and didn’t want to be there, this is the first time I flown with Delta, and I really regret taking this flight, I will definitely not be booking with them again.

They booked me on two different trips, then the agents deleted both trips, and then my flight got canceled and they didn’t tell me
Unfortunately the return flight was very busy and I assume due to COVID precautions and ventilation the aircraft was very cold. Economy is not that bad but when a full row feels very congested and almost like you’re sitting on top of each other. The flight was delayed at short notice and we were also additionally delayed upon landing when they could open the doors. The flight out there by virgin was great however the return flight not so much.

No window blinds = woken up by blazing sun in middle of 11 hr night flight, even with sleeping pills my sleep was wrecked, even with eyemask. Passengers penned in on narrow aisles by trolleys, unable to walk around plane & risk of DVT. Passengers disempowered by restricted space, lighting, mobility. I want more control over my personal mobility &, lighting. Horrible headsets (bring my own). This flight departed 2.5 HRs LATE from JHB & the crew & cavin service was SLOW. NO requested second cup of tea brought - I waited 20 mins & climbed over trolleys to get another one, even though it was requested of cabin crew. Do they just ignore us? Or forget?"

I've always been very happy with Lufthansa, but this trip was definitely a struggle. Lufthansa had some technical issues which caused a serious mess for one of our passengers. What was really disappointing about that was the number of hours that we and Lufthansa personnel at the airport had to spend to fix the problem, hours that they could have used more effectively in other areas. That combined with the high volume of summer travelers, and short staff, made it a less than optimal experience.
We booked round trip from SFO to HAM. In general all went well, but checking in for the last leg, from Frankfurt to sfo, wasn’t possible in advance online, for unclear reasons. The gate agent at HAM was also unable to do this for us, such that we had to speak at the gate in Frankfurt to try to get seats and boarding cards. This was of course a source of unnecessary stress…
Alles, Bestens! Lufthansa-Qualität
Gepäck kam leider nicht an und wir wurden erts nach langem warten informiert. Swissport team hat aber einen fantastischen Job gemacht und unsere Lost&Found Formulare mit uns ausgefüllt.
Leider hatte die Lufthansa nicht genug Verpflegung an Board. Dies war schon auf dem Hinflug der Fall. Bereits ab Reihe 19 konnten die vegetarischen Speisewünsche nicht mehr bedient werden. Sehr schade bei einem 3,5 Stunden Flug, wenn man das Essen gedanklich eingeplant hat.
Das Boarding ist bei Lufthansa auch nach zwei Jahren Corona immer noch eine Katastrophe. Keine Ansage der Gruppen, so das alle gleichzeitig zum Boarding rennen. Das gleiche beim Aussteigen. Volle Gänge keine Ansage über einen geregelten Ausstieg. Leider kümmert sich die Lufthansa offensichtlich wenig um die Gesundheit der Passagiere.
Lufthansa is like any other low cost. Rather pay less and go with EasyJet
Frankfurt - Paris ist der Business Class lohnt sich nicht - es gibt kaum einen Unterschied!
Lufthansa‘s Crew was exceptionally polite, helpful, quietly serving food and performing tasks placed on them. I appreciate their professional attitude . I loved getting a pillow and a blanket, which had at other airlines been a problem. Food was served quickly, as well as drinks. Thank you for all the work you do!

Heutzutage nicht mehr selbstverständlich. Flug war pünktlich, trotz 25 min Taxi in LHR. Bequeme Sitze und sauber! Verständliche Durchsagen in angemessener Lautstärke (DE und engl), bin überrascht. Angenehme Kabinentemperatur (auch nicht selbstverständlich)"
Negativ: "Leider startet Lufthansa vom Terminal 2. Liegt ungünstig, wenn man mit Auto oder Bus an-/Abreist, weil erst der ganze Flughafen umfahren werden muss. 8kg Handgepäcksregelung ist echt nicht zeitgemäß und eine schickane. Mit Laptop, Tablet, Rasierer, Ladekabel und 1x Wechselkleidung knackt man das ganz schnell. Lufthansa Group ist bei manchen Flügen penibler als Ryanair! Es müssen ja keine 23kg sein, aber selbst KLM bietet 12kg."

Gestartet ist die Maschiene dann um 22:05 Uhr. Die Kommunikation war sehr schlecht, das Bodenpersonal schloss bis zuletzt keine Annulierung aus."

When boarding started, it was like refugees rushing to a life boat. Everyone was rushing to the front. Only one KLM staff standing there saying "... now is this group, yours is next,,,, we will call it out...." While he stopped some travelers, he did allowed some others passed without even checking their ticket. They have all the digital gears, and the screens to show the current boarding sequences, why don't they just use that. For some of us that did not have a excellent hearing, it was hard not trying to get closer to understanding what is going on.

Positiv: "The flight started with a visit in the recently renovated KLM crown lounge in Amsterdam airport. I liked the various seating options and of course the upstairs bar. The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."
Negativ: "This seat is not ideal for sleeping for taller persons (I'm 185cm tall) as the space to put the feet is very narrow and it's uncomfortable when lying on the back (as one cannot put them in the natural resting position). Cabin temperature could have been a bit lower for my taste. Crew needs better training with regards to transfer procedure in Chengdu."

I ordered a vegan meal months in advance. The meal never came and they tried to give me chicken. I told the attendant and she said nothing she could do, someone must’ve messed up so I had nothing to eat. She was very rude about it and did not apologize or anything, just said “handed them all out already” and walked away. Another attendant eventually came over and I asked her for some help and she was able to provide me with some snacks and she was very kind.

i had such fond memories of SAS from the golden days of travel before 911 & Covid - it appears what ever all airlines can do to bleed you dry for what use to be free is ridiculous There were no beverages offered on the return flight from HAM/CPH/SFO and the food was beyond disgusting
They let us board without checking our documents. We thought we had everything but then when we got to the stockholm airport, the immigration office wouldn't let us pass and we've been stuck here, unable to leave, we've missed our connection as well. The document that was invalid was our US vaccine certificate (Moderna, double vaccinated by May 2021). The Swedish government doesn't see it as valid. So SAS should have stopped us from boarding the flight when they checked our vaccine card at the New York airport. Horrible experience.
