Our small luggage that we had to check never had any problems with any other airlines about being a carryon but since it was over 8 kg, it had to be checked. Flight was short but no entertainment screen to watch or listen to music. Will not be flying with airline ever again."

Negativ: "Even though I paid for my seats they weren't reserved and I had to request new ones. I paid €80 for them so I'd imagine they would have been reserved. Then they took my blanket when we were getting close with no explanation even though I was cold. I don't get this airline."

Negativ: "Inbound flight - flight got canceled from Budapest - after calling the airline and waiting in the line the 2 first lady I was talking to put me on hold and never got back to me, the 3rd lady had no idea why the flight got canceled except it was for emergency. She said next flight would be 2 days later - after calling the insurance I booked for the flight, they didn't want to reimburse for the interruption because the airline could not explain why it got canceled and i should prove that the flight was canceled - after being 6h on the phone with airline and insurance and waiting line had to hang of without solution. I had to purchase a new ticket from another airline to be able to fly on the same day back to Miami. - after arriving at the airport next morning for the other flight it turns out that Tap Portugal booked me to British Airways but they have not send me a notification email about it, so if I do not ask at the counter for Tap Portugal for the paperwork for the insurance I would never find out that i got a new flight and i would have miss it and the insurance would have never pay for it. With the new ticket i had to purchase, my travel with Tap Portugal cost me on the end around $3000, and I do not have that much money for a ticket at all, now I have a financial trouble. Thanks, never again."

We were told that there was no way that the name on the ticket could be changed because of TSA regulations. Of course, we were also told that we could have changed the name had we purchased a more expensive ticket. In other words, we were lied to and told the issue was regulation, when really they wouldn’t help us because we couldn’t afford a more expensive ticket. The only help we were given was the pleasure of paying over $1,500 more to get my wife on the flight. I am in the process of trying to get this refunded, but as of now we have paid twice for my wife to fly, and neither ticket has been refunded. We may have accidentally broken a rule, but the only function that rule seems to have is to make us pay twice for the same seat. As of now, I would never fly this airline again, and I would warn everyone away from it. I will update this post if TAP does the right thing by two honeymooners."

Stellt doch an der Bordtoilette auch noch einen Kassier auf, oder soll man das WC günstiger im Voraus buchen?"

I believe this is done so that they don't have to staff the airport check-in desks more adequately. Seats were not comfortable (not much cushion) and leg room was tight."

How could you take a small bag from inside the plane and then not put it underneath the plane minutes before take off? Horrendous."

We were put in the very last seat and couldn't even fit our legs in. Then when the person in front of me tried to put his seat back I was in so much pain I had to ask him to move it back up. They also wanted to charge us $120 for a bag when our flight was only $100, which was ridiculous! Thankfully the staff was nice enough to waive that fee for us."

The flight from Tel Aviv to Berlin included a suitcase but not from Berlin to Tel Aviv. We paid 120 euros for luggage, although we have not seen an invitation not have paid everything in advance. No one tried to help us, and to explain and attitude was cold and arrogant."

Negativ: "What I don't like. They don't know what they want to be. Not the crew or pilots, the executives. In September AirBerlin changed their policy of serving 'free' food on flights. I understand that they are competing with the Low Cost carriers (especially as O'Leary has set his sights squarely on AirBerlin), but charging flights that cost more than double of a low cost, yet offering the same experience of a low cost is a sure way to lose customers. Case and point: Flight to Vienna, we were offered complimentary sandwiches and drinks. Return flight, they charged for drinks and food. Which is it, AirBerlin? Either do complimentary food and drinks and keep your customers or keep you fares the same, charge for drinks and food and lose customers. But doing both with no rhyme or reason shows that those in charge do not understand their business."

Am Flug nach Berlin gab Es das alles. Die crew sagte uns dass Es ein Fly Niki Flug vorher war und das Es das bei air Berlin nicht gibt. Werde eher nicht mehr air Berlin fliegen und darauf achten. Sorry -sehr mittelmässig."

He was asking to repack for unclear reason. Forcing people to open their suitcases on the counter to move one item from one bag to the other. Charging for a back pack the size of a personal handbag. Then on board water is 3 euro for a small bottle. Only toilet paper was for free . never again !!!"
