Positiv: "Flying Alaska airlines is always something I have a bittersweet relationship. I love almost everything that Alaska does to improve their airline. Their wifi is some of the best in the US and its very affordable. Their "picnic box" snacks are awesome and unique, better than what you will find elsewhere, they have USB and full AC outlets at every seat, and their rewards program is the best in the business. By all accounts, AlaskaAir would be my favorite airline out there. But the staff that Alaska hires is just so terrible. Everytime I fly with them, they have simply the worst staff. Pair this with some of the best features of any airline and it leaves me scratching my head on whether or not I want to fly with them or to fly with an airline like Delta which might have fewer frills, but offers much better staff to help you."

They were very understanding and waived the fee since our overnight stay in LA was technically a layover and we had previously made the whole reservation for both flights at once using their company. Overall we liked our experience with Alaska and would definitely use them again!"

Negativ: "My only complaint was with check-in. I used the self-serve kiosk, which was easy to follow and efficient. The problem arose when I needed to check my bag. The computer instructs the passenger to go to the "baggage drop-off area," which I did. However, there was nobody there to receive my bag or to check my ID and give me a boarding pass. There was staff helping other customers at the "full-service" area, and I tried to get their attention. All I got in return was a head shake "no." This was especially frustrating since one of the staff members was observing other staff -- not actually working the computer to check in customers. I understand that she may not be able to leave her post to operate another post, but it seems reasonable to walk the mere 10 feet over to me to explain that I am in the right area and someone will assist me shortly. I ended up getting in line, which defeats the purpose of the kiosk, only to see a staff member show up to the drop off area. Going back, everything went fine from there."

Zudem musste deshalb im Zwischenflughafen jedesmal der Checkin aufgesucht werden (OHNE zu wissen ob man weitekommt) und wegen Verspätung der ersten Maschine war ein rechtzeitiges erreichen des zweiten Fluges ohne massives vordrängeln in den langen Warteschlangen gar nicht möglich! Der Anschlussflug konnte nur durch eine sehr sportliche Leistung (Langes Rennnen) erreicht werden"

Left us to take day earlier and we could not changed last flight( Toronto- Thunder Bay). We had to come on Aug 22. and stay in Toronto for 27 hours and than take a flight to Thunder Bay on Aug 23. We lost a day of our vacation, had to stay at hotel. Not good experience at all. We still don’t know whom to complain about that."

Your so called Muslim meals are not suitable for kids!! There is no such thing as a Muslim meal either. It’s simply called Halal otherwise then everyone else’s meals should be called Christian or Jewish meals etc. Also I requested help with transfer to my last flight which was horrendous because I’m one adult with 4 kids ages 1 to 11 and my eldest has sever learning disability. I nearly missed my flight because our flight landed late and I was struggling to keep my kids safe and together while running for the next flight. Somone should have been there to help with transfer."

A portion of leather covering under the tv where I feet went was hanging off when I boarded and but on with masking tape. Took the elegance away. It’s funny they use the old fit our A380 but such a long flight."

Schließlich fand sich doch noch ein Platz in den Staufächern der Business Class, mit dem Hinweis, da hätten wir aber nochmal Glück gehabt."
