When my parents were checking in for flight they asked the representative about meal selection and she didn't answer their questions properly and because of that my mom didn't get proper Hindu Vegetarian food on flight instead she got Egg omelet which she couldn't eat. She has to eat just fruits. My mother is a diabetic patient and she needs a food every after some time. I never had such a bad experience before with any other airlines."

Then he called out to see if a passenger was on board...shouldn’t he know? He had the list in his hand. Another baggage issue. Third, he asked if there were children under 10...was thoroughly confused when he only found one. It was a bit unsettling to the point where we were wondering where we were really going to end up. But our pilot, Hercules, got us there."

I called someone, I think american airlines, by this time completely confused. If there are multiple carrier types, I should be able to input my flight number and my info ahould come up for me to view flight info and check in, or seat assignment. In the end I dowloaded 2 or 3 apps, a confusing phone call, and when i got to rhw intial check in I was not treated well by tsa personnel. Maybe my name triggered thw extra search or something.Anyway, that last part is unrelated but my return flight was kind of a struggle."

Bordpersonal war sagen wir mal nicht unfreundlich, mehr aber auch nicht. Höflich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam ist anders. Der Flug ging von Berlin. Es lag also auf der Hand, dass sehr viele Fluggäste deutsch als ihre Muttersprache haben. Das störte die Flugbegleiterin aber nicht. Sie sprach ein so schnelles und undeutliches Englisch, dass sie nicht bis gar nicht zu verstehen war."

Positiv: "The passengers, the Brussels airport retail area, 1 of the flight attendants who was polite and welcoming, and the entertainment selections. Finally being connected to Swiss staff."
Negativ: "The crew was not very welcoming and was borderline rude when I asked any sort of question such as why I was not allowed to wear my headphones prior to take off. I was patient in not wearing them, but could not relaxing into the trip for the 40+ minutes we remained on the ground mostly not moving. I was tired when boarding and fumbled with my documents and was very curtly told to just hand them over. Another time I accidentally mistook headphones the stewardess was handing out for something else. I took a pair and then immediately gave them back with an apology that I didn't realise what they were, but thanked her anyway. This was met with a scowl and a bit of opposition. There was one stewardess that was very nice and accommodating out of the entire crew. On top of this the toilet seat on the plane was broken, so it fell on you when you were trying to go to the bathroom, and the soap dispenser was broken. I didn't dare mention these things to the flight crew though. The plane was late taking off from Montreal, and so was late landing in Brussels. No effort was made to provide connections assistance, or provide directions on where to go to rebook our missed connections. I and all others traveling to Zurich spent the entire morning trying to find anyone from Air Canada to help us rebook our flights. We literally were going from desk to desk between two terminals, and consulting each other as we went to limit the amount of leg work we all had to do. We all had to finally leave the terminal area and go to Swissport and stand in a long slow line. By that time any afternoon flight was already overbooked. So I and a group of other passengers were booked for an evening flight which forced me to book a hotel in Zurich because I couldn't get to where I needed to be that evening. After being rebook, I still tried to get on an earlier flight by going directly to the gate. It was confirmed that there was some extra space available, but they would not switch me to the earlier flight because I had a checked bag that I could not separate me from. Ultimately my bag was lost which made me have to stay awake and in the Zurich airport even longer after I finally arrived going from one lost baggage representative to another, and then waiting in another line to finally fill out paperwork because my bag had never been scanned in Brussels. The Zurich representatives were very polite, helpful, and efficient compared to anyone I encountered in Montreal, or Brussels. I was without my bag for 3.5 days of what was supposed to be a 10 day trip. My trip was reduced to 9 days because I spent an entire day in the Brussels airport and then had to spend the night in Zurich. I arrived in Zurich on Saturday night, and received my bag on Tuesday afternoon. All in all it was not a good experience until I got to Switzerland."

Negativ: "This is my 4th time getting my flight cancelled with air Canada for no apparent reason. The food was horrible and the service was worse. Never again."

Negativ: "Seats were uncomfortable and tight. Leg room is not existent."

Positiv: "Das Boarding und die Durchführung waren super. Das Personal sprach Französisch. Nicht alles wurde auf Englisch wiederholt. Getränke wurden NUR EIN MAL angeboten. Essen hat Geld gekostet - nicht gut. United Airlines hat zwar auch essen Gegen Geld angeboten, aber hat mindestens 3 Mal von sich auch Getränke angeboten. Also von sich aus."
Negativ: "Kaum Beinfreiheit. Essen nur gehen Geld."

Positiv: "That we arrived in Toronto and got to get off the plane."
Negativ: "The flight was delayed several hours. The rows are way too close together to be remotely comfortable, and the seats themselves are tiny and barely recline. Being 5 months pregnant, I was uncomfortable the entire flight. The "entertainment" that you have to download an app for didn't work, and particularly stung knowing how much we paid for the flights, and that other airlines simply put a TV on the back of each seat that is easy to connect headphones and view. The food on our previous flight had been so terrible we didn't bother on this trip, but it looked equally awful. My husband was in the aisle seat and the flight attendant repeatedly and without warning hit him with the cart. The flight attendants varied in level of friendliness, but the ones in our row rushed through service, and did not give us the options the other row had (ice in drinks, veggie or meat options). All in all, it was kind of a terrible flight experience."

Negativ: "Left our luggage in Montreal!"

Positiv: "Reasonably good all around."
Negativ: "I paid for an upgraded seat on this flight and wished I hadn't. Whole rows of seats were empty and I would have been more comfortable in my original seating, according to the seating plan during online check in the entire plane was booked out but for a few seats."

Positiv: "Dieser kurze Flug verlief schnell und komfortabel. Es gab Internetzugang am Board, der gut funktionierte."

Positiv: "It was excellent. Though due to snowfall, flight took off late due to de-icing but taking safety precautions is a best practice."

Positiv: "The legroom on Rouge is horrendous. My 6' teenage son was so wedged in we could not move/stretch his legs whatsoever. Problem is, Air Canada gives us no choice but to fly "Rouge" to our destination. Once my flight pass is completed I am seriously thinking of moving moyalty to Westjet. I can't take Rouge discomfort any longer. Also - due to turbulence on the flight they decided to withhold food and beverage service without any announcements the entire flight. Nor did they distribute iPads. Far into the 3 hour flight they came with water. That's it. The insult to injury was that on preparation for landing they said their "canned" announcements that they were coming to collect iPads and any remaining items. Oh and did I mention we left 2 hours late? And the fact that the Premium passenger got meals and we had to smell them all flight long? Funny how that works. Very disappointed, Rouge."

Negativ: "I called customer service to ask questions about the meal options, and for both flights (14.5 hrs) they signed me up for the wrong meals! The staff on the first flight was extremely rude and unhelpful, and refused to let me eat any of the extra meals. Making matters worse, I had asked customer service when I called if they sell food on the flight, which I was told yes. This turned out to be untrue. I had to survive the 14.5 hour flight by only eating 3 tiny bags of pretzels. I sent an email to customer service to complain about this (can't do this over the phone), and didn't hear back for more than a month. On my return international flight, I was AGAIN signed up for the wrong meal (vegan) even though I specifically went over my dietary preference (vegetarian, eats eggs and dairy). Then my luggage was left in Vancouver while I made my way to Sydney, so I had to wear the same clothes for over 72 hrs while the airline "apologized" with giving me only $50. I finally got someone to respond to my complaints when I tweeted them, and their response was that I selected the vegan food option...NOPE, and that's not an apology. I will not fly them again. (PS: they don't give eye masks or toothbrush/toothpaste on international flights even though other airlines do, and their selection of movies/TV shows is about half of other airlines)"

Negativ: "didnt like the cabin crew attendants. Only 1 I interacted with gave off the impression of friendly. When they canceled the flight, the information they sent to me was inaccurate and during the rescheduling process people were short with me and it took forever. When inquiring about a refund so I could find a faster flight home, they told me they couldnt confirm the amount I might be refunded, but it would be hardly anything. Therefore, forcing me to be almost a day late getting home."

Negativ: "No food when they got to back row and we were starving. No apology and no alternate offers. Also my two yr old boy was about to fall asleep and every time the crew member switched on their reading light and walked away. I had to turn them off. Worst experience on an Air Canada flight."

Positiv: "The crew is top notch. The plane was in great condition, the pilots had good landings. Would definitely fly Air Canada again. Both flights there and back departed on time, never had any set backs."
Negativ: "The movie selection is so limited, this should definitely be expanded. Also the controls while you're watching a film do not allow for quick return to main menu, maybe there is but it should be quite obvious how to do that. I'm not someone who cannot handle technology, so it should be easier than whatever mechanism there is at the moment. Good should be included."

Positiv: "entertainment system was pretty good"
Negativ: "Air Canada generally charges too much and jacks up their prices way too much."

Negativ: "I had to pay for Internet despite being a Superelite customer (top Tier flyer on their program). The service was expensive and slow so I only used 30 minutes for $4. Having curtailed my work, I looked for news feeds and Rio Olympic coverage. There was neither. It spoilt an otherwise great experience"

Positiv: "I honestly can't think of anything I liked, other than the plane arriving and leaving on time."
Negativ: "The in flight entertainment is a joke, it's a 14 hour flight so why are there only 3 episodes of any tv show? The food was inedible, and beverages were limited to 3 choices coffee, water or juice. I was trying to sleep on the plane but every time a flight attendant would walk past me they would run into me (and I was very much within my seat) and wake me up. They also woke me up to ask if I wanted food twice. The seats were so uncomfortable. I'm an able bodied 20 something and if I am in this much physical pain from flying I can't imagine what an elderly person must feel like after flying Air Canada. The pillow that was provided gave me no comfort what so ever, it wasn't think enough to even offer some back support."

Positiv: "The pilots were EXTREMELY polite, informing us through the intercom why everything is delayed. SUPER flight through the rain!!! FANTASTIC PILOTS!"
Negativ: "We were Stuck INSIDE the plane for an hour. If there is a delay either offer a refreshments or let us go back inside the air port and get a refreshments. The crew were unprofessional, i travel enough and this crew was the worst I have seen. On top they offered No hot beverages. Upon my request of a simple cup Of coffee the flight attendant said, NO, ask if I wanted a coke. It is great that he is giving me an alternative but he can simply appogize that he has not made any coffee and be sincere about it. TERRIBLE service all together. We all in the plane have appointments that now we are late to, crew showed no concern."

Positiv: "Good entertainment options"

Negativ: "My first flight had free snacks and movies to watch yet it was only an hour in the air. This flight was much longer with no movies and having to pay for snacks. Seems a tad backwards."

Negativ: "We took off 1 to two hours late"

Positiv: "Crew was nice and very helpful.. Nice selection of movies.."
Negativ: "Food could be improved.. no flavor and it looked over cooked.. Drinking cups could be switched to paper cups.. or recycled one's.. Packaging and overall rubbish could also be reduced. 777 seats were to narrow.. bigger seats are a must for such long flights. Internet access could be free.. with a limit of course.."

Positiv: "Every thing was on time. I really like booking with kayak...so simple"
Negativ: "Air canada doesn't give a snack with your drink...where as west jet does."
