All CBP booths were closed, but 8 (eight!) employees, who normally direct arriving passengers to the kiosk-machines where hanging out in two groups sharing private stories and having laughs instead of at least informing passengers, what was going on. Lots of passengers where outraged...a couple in their mid 70s in front of us had to sit down on the floor, since they had circulation problems from standing in line so long. Sadly, JFK isn't what it used to be anymore."

Shit happens, but (a) what about the quality of the goods and (b) how does the crew handle this? Crew/Service: Generally friendly, but the guy who served the red wine had no clue how to handle this: 1. Red wine on cloth is bad to clean 2. After I complained about a possible problem with cleaning and the possibility that the stain would stay, no reaction, only sortiere and the Recommendation from him was to use soda water which was actually not at hand and took him more then 10min to bring it. 3. I requested for the supervisor. She was very friendly and took my email address to write a report on this. I am now waiting for reaction and possible refund for cleaning or more. Another drink was offered but that was all until now. So I am curious about the reaction from Emirates. Overall it seemed like Emirates has a bad standing in BKK: - Bus boarding on B777 - No clear information about gate - Bad quality of material (cups) - For Emirates under average food quality Additional remark: The following connection flight from DXB to DUS, was very good, overall quality as expected from Emirates, food and staff was very good. So the above review from BKK -> DXB might have been an exception."

There were a quite a few passengers booked on the connecting flight but Qantas made no attempt to get us on board it and instead re-booked us for the next flight which was scheduled for 2.5 hours later but, in fact, left nearly 3.5 hours later. Breakfast consisted of rubber egg."

Positiv: "Sat in a business class seat in the upper deck and has a window seat so the “storage compartments” near the window are huge and I love having all my carryon items so available to me at all tunes. Also like the storage of inflight items on top of the compartmants during the flight."
Negativ: "The upper deck 747 windows are a weird angle so looking out means you crane your neck."
Positiv: "Staff were courteous, efficient and well presented. Aircraft was clean. Entertainment was par with the usual awful resistive screen and slow response time making the UX just that little bit worse."

Negativ: "Seating is far too tight - of course, Qantas is not the only one guilty of this. If there were a true emergency, evacuating the plane would be nightmarish under the "packed-in" scenario we are faced with these days."
Positiv: "The A380 is pretty good for soaking up the typical bumps of air travel. This flight was the first where the lamding was so soft that the plane didn't jolt on landing. It made noise like we'd touched down, but the ground effect glide was perfectly choreographed by the crew. Nice job."
Negativ: "There was an exceptionally narcissistic young man from China behind me who stood up and complaoned during rollout that he couldn't recline his seat. The crew suggested I relocate to a better seat. That was very nice and thougtful."

I understand charging obese people extra because they have a chance to change it. Also, seats are too narrow now!!!"

By the time the meal cart came to ou row, all the got meals was out and we have no choice and was served with the cold ham salad that looks like left overs, both my son and I lost our appetite looking at it. The crew didn't apologize and gave the impression that we either take it or too bad. Won't be recommending this airline."

Negativ: "The outbound plane from Newark to Frankfurt was late by 1.5 hr because United could not figure out how to bring the plane (that was sitting in the middle of the airfield to the gate and then they realized that they need get catering supplies to feed the passengers and we were waiting for that too. The inbound flight from Frankfurt to Newark was late by 1.45 hours since they were fixing a computer problem on board. The flight was totally over air-conditioned and when I asked to bring an extra blanket for me the flight attendant started lecturing me that I was wearing shorts and a polo shirt (in the 86F heat at FRA and EWR it was ok!) and that she had no blankets. The second flight attendant who for some reason came 2 miins after the first one apologized for the attitude of his female colleague and immediately brought me an extra blanket."

Negativ: "I had to ask for a pillow and when I did not take the blanket becaue it was comfortable I had made a mistake. It was VERY chilly in the last third of the flight and there was no way to locate personnel, or even a call button in the darkened plane to ask for one.Finally I climbed up on my seat (short people cannot reach the overhead bins on this plane) to get my coat out of the overhead bin and passed the last hours bundled up in that. While water was passed out frequently, collecting cups and bottles, not to mention the remnants of the snack or meals was not high on the priority list and eventually we were sitting in a trash pile. Bravo for having luggage available as soon as we got through customs!"
