Seit dem 9. November müssen alle Reisenden, die nach Taiwan kommen, angeben, ob sie in den letzten 14 Tagen COVID-19-Symptome hatten. Wenn sie Symptome melden, werden sie unmittelbar nach ihrer Ankunft am Flughafen oder in einem Krankenhaus einem PCR-Test unterzogen. Wenn sie negativ testen, müssen sie nach 24 Stunden einen zweiten Test durchführen. Sie werden in einer dafür vorgesehenen Quarantäneeinrichtung unter Quarantäne gestellt, bis beide Ergebnisse vorliegen. Wenn sie zwei negative Ergebnisse erhalten, können sie die Quarantäneeinrichtung verlassen und die 14-tägige Selbstisolierung zu Hause oder in einem dafür vorgesehenen Quarantänehotel durchführen. Ein positiver Test bedeutet Krankenhausaufenthalt.
Während der Quarantäne muss die Person zu Hause (oder am angegebenen Ort) bleiben und darf keine öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel benutzen oder Taiwan verlassen. Die Standortüberwachung von Mobiltelefonen wird im Rahmen der Quarantäne von den lokalen Behörden verwendet.
Ausländische Passagiere, darunter Menschen aus Hongkong und Macau, dürfen nun den internationalen Flughafen Taoyuan zum Transit nutzen. Inhaber von Pässen der Volksrepublik China (VR China) dürfen nicht durch Taiwan reisen. Passagiere, die umsteigen, müssen Anschlussflüge derselben Fluggesellschaft nehmen. They should have given it back at departure gate. I had to buy more in their duty free shop. Also they cancelled my flight without advising me but did get me on Thai airways later that day. Too much hassle to Transit China"

Passenger announcements are clear and crisp is English and Chinese."

Positiv: "787 Dreamliner layout is efficient, generous legroom and recline is better than American carriers. Crew works as team, fast and courteous. Very helpful and professional, Water offered frequently, trash pick up kept cabin neat, bathrooms always clean. Passenger announcements are clear and crisp is English and Chinese."

Positiv: "Very good service. I have a bad knee and they did a good job of helping. Long layover is ok, they offer free hotel. Side benefit you can be a tourist for a short time."

Negativ: "I was very sick and contagious and asked for a single person hotel room for the night before a connecting flight. It was not accommodated. It would have cost extra 100-200 yuan. Then when we asked for the shuttle to the hotel, the security at the departures level meant we could not exit and be picked up. No one could arrange pick up at arrivals. Instead we paid for a taxi ourselves. Poor service and coordination, especially considering I could barely talk and just badly needed a rest."

Negativ: "My keychain was ripped off from my baggage despite me hiding it. It was stolen by their baggage handler and the airline refused to admit liability and was protecting it Staff. Xiamenair is a corrupted airline which I will not take in the future!"

Negativ: "I was denied a boarding pass and was not allowed to transit through China, because of a visa that was needed I was not told about by Kayak.com. Therefore, being the last day I was allowed to stay in Thailand, I had to scramble to find an outbound flight the same day, including paying almost double the cost of the original flight. The Thai check-in agent told me to never transit through mainland China again, because the visa requirement information that is not provided."

Negativ: "Lack of communication by staff. Lack of entertainment on 14 hour flight. Was told not to use device while others were able to use."

Negativ: "couldn't book through from Shenzhen yp Guilin. Had to check-in again at Fuzhou and go through security again."
Positiv: "787 Dreamliner's hardscape was new and clean. IFE was decent but had some anomalies (can't take off of pause unless you shut off screen, select same movie and resume). Food was fairly decent and plentiful. Think a cheap chinese diner & you've got it."
Negativ: "Crew was efficient but can't speak Englsh worth a nickel! While I have a limited ability in Mandarin (think 5yo vocab), the announcements in Engrish was almost as bad as some of the translations in many Chinese products. I pity the people who can't understand ANY Chinese: they could not possibly get most of the announcements. They should really get at least 1 FA that can speak and understand English. The signage in Xiamen (I was transiting from LAX to TPE) was amazingly poor and confusing. You basically stumble from 1 floor to another based on the signage. The airport was actually very large for what appears to be a medium size city."

Negativ: "Show up and the flight was delayed 4 hours. No reason given. My layover in Xiamen was only 2 hours. They kept wanting me to fly the next day. When I complained loud enough they finally yielded and found an alternative to LAX."
Positiv: "Excellent, friendly service on a terrific plane. More leg room than the average (American) airline for a long flight. Had to call Customer Service. They were as helpful as they could be."
Negativ: "There was no computer check-in even for people with no bags to check. Long wait on line to check-in. Probably could use more staff at airport. TSA wait that night was also very long. Not Xiamen's fault of course."
Negativ: "The delay was extremely horrible causing us to miss our flight and then put us on a flight that was once again delayed for another 6 hours. The crew was still hesitant on disclosing the time we would be leaving"
Positiv: "The company that Kayak use for my ticket (Yayama) had some random passport number on my reservation. The ticket agent told me that I had to call to travel agent to get it changed. I tried to call three times (from China) and all three time I was put on hold to 10 to 15 minutes then disconnected. I finally got someone at the service desk to call the airline and get the passport number correct. This added over an hour to my check in process. Luckily, I arrive early and was able to make the flight, no help from Yayama. Terrible!!!!"

Negativ: "It was hard for me to find the right building number if it was given online. Check in online system and a reminder on time would be great!"
Negativ: "Xiamen air doesn't allow advance check-in and boarding passes. It makes it inconvenient in Korea coming back to Xiamen."
