Werbung für einen Stopover in Island bekommt man überall, vor allem innerhalb des Entertainment Programms welches sich nicht einschalten lässt ohne das man einen 5,5 minütigen Werbefilm anschauen muss. teils zieht sich das weiter wenn man einen Film ansehen will. Icelandair hatte uns einen Flug mit 30 Min Umsteigezeit gescheduled - was mich sehr nervös gemacht hat als wir dann Verspätung am Rollfeld hatten und dann noch Bus fahren mussten. Der Anschlussflieger hatte sein Boarding bis kurz vor Abflug geöffnet und wir haben es dann easy geschafft. Man muss auch erwähnen, dass es in Reykjavik mangels Sitzmöglichkeiten einfach ewig lange Schlangen gibt in die man sich einreihen muss. Wenn man auf den günstigen Preis verzichten kann: nie wieder Iceland Air!"

Negativ: "We will not fly Icelandic Air again. The baggage fees were incredible - $95 per bag to go from Boston and $110 per bag to fly home. That is over $400 in bag fees. This with practically no service, no snacks - we did get water and soft drinks and a ground crew in Iceland that does not communicate about boarding. There was no system to get people on the plane and no communication You expect a baggage fee but it should be well communicated. We looked up the fee online and saw an economy bag listed. What they do not list is that there are different economy baggage fees. The lower price you pay the higher the fee. Again I don't mind a fee - I just should be able to find that fee before I commit. Very deceptive advertising. I could have booked a flight with an airline for the same price and gotten better service, a few snack and airline miles."

Negativ: "Friend payed for additional luggage via phone call with Iceland Air but when we arrived the payment wasnt on file when we checked in. Even with a payment receipt for their luggage it was a hassle to get the airline to accept the luggage. Thought we were going to miss out flight but made it with little time to spare."

Bei einer 10-stündigen Reise eine Zumutung. Getränke Auswahl war mangelhaft, vom angebotenen Sortiment waren einige Getränke nicht verfügbar. Mir wurde im vollen Flugzeug ein Sitz in der letzten Reihe gegeben, dessen Rucklehne nicht verstellbar war. Zusammengenommen war es die schlechteste Erfahrung eines Fluges in den letzten Jahren. Ich werde definitiv nicht mehr mit Icelandair fliegen."

Negativ: "Das Flugzeug von Reijkjavik nach Seattle war nicht fuer einen Langstreckenflug geeignet. Nur 2 Reihen mit jeweils Sitzen sind einfach zu eng fuer solch einen langen Flug. Keine gute Erfahrung!"

Negativ: "Boarding was late by one and a half hours. Almost missed my connection flight in Reykyavik. First time on an International flight they did not serve any food, not even snacks. And there was no indication when booking the ticket (which was about $700) that there wouldn't be any meals. Even the selection to purchase was poor. In a 5+ hour flight the crew passed only once with beverages. They completely turned off the lights during the entire duration of the flight. Overall, by far the worst International flight I have ever been on. I wont choose Icelandair again. And I will let my colleagues know about my experience."

Upon arrival to KEF I discovered my second leg departed without me. Please be sure that your representatives do not LIE to customers as it is misleading and unnecessary. I usually have great experiences with this airline and this misinformation was rather disappointing."

Positiv: "I have never flown overseas without getting some dinner and breakfast. On this flight, we were given bottled water as we boarded and later could get another free beverage, but if you wanted food, you had to pay for it. Did get comfy blanket though!"

Negativ: "We were delayed for over three hours and stuck on the tarmac with little to no updates. Needless to say, we missed our connecting flight to the final destination and were not treated kindly upon arrival by the "help" desk. I am an experienced and regular traveler, but I will most likely never fly Icelandair after this."

Negativ: "My flight was handed to American Airlines and it's been a nightmare with my flight being delayed multiple times, then cancelled and rebooked. I missed an entire in Paris including stay that I payed for."

Positiv: "There were so many things wrong with our flight from Gatwick to NYC. The check in staff were rude and homophobic at check in, forcing my partner and I to separate for check in while we watched heterosexual partners check in together freely. The disabled toilet alarm broke as we descended into NYC and we listened to end-of-the-world death sirens as we were landing. It was not communicates that food was a microtransaction on flight and was so overpriced so we went nearly 13 hours without food because the flights were also delayed on the tarmac. The de-icing tow truck in Iceland was broken down so we were delayed two hours on the layover. On return, both Icelandair gates opened late. During the layover we were kettled in hot container units before 20 min before being bussed to the plane and held for 15 minutes. Then, the icing on the cake was landing back at Gatwick and seeing my brand new luggage I bought on the trip damaged with thr back pocked ripped out along the bottom seam. I will never again ride with these rude, price-gouging, apathetic amateurs."

Negativ: "Reykavic airport has the least amenities I have ever experienced. Very few seats in the lounge. Most are forced to stand or lie on the floor. Don't think that getting through the gate will mean getting on plane, it's too another waiting room with a few seats, mainly standing. The airport has no seated restaurants or cafes. So getting off a plane hungry id not pleasant. I will never again fly to and from New York via this 'airport'"

Negativ: "Although I paid for a confirmed seat and chose my seat 6 months in advance, when 24 hour check-in rolled around I was told I had been moved to standby and would thus only have a seat if there were any left once everyone else had checked in. I had to wait until I arrived at the airport the day of to even find out if I had a seat. There were only two left when I checked in, so I just barely got on the flight. I had originally chosen a seat next to a friend traveling with me in the middle of the cabin, in the end I got a seat in the very back of the plane- no room in the overhead bins since they were reserved for flight equipment, couldn't recline, and was right by the kitchen, so it was too noisy to sleep. When I called customer service to try to fix all of this, in the middle of explaining my problem (after waiting on hold for an hour) I was told to stop talking and that it was the rep's turn to talk. In addition to not getting my problem resolved, he hung up on me! Worst treatment I've ever received on an airpline, and I've flown thousands of times on dozens of airlines. Once this trip is over I am never flying Icelandic again!"

Crew did a good job and made me confident of their work. Both flight legs arrived early. Everything went well. Very good airline - I will certainly fly with them again."
Negativ: "It seems that there was no snack or beverage on the second leg of flight (ca. 3 hours), but I probably just slept through it. Price seemed high for this route and season, but it was much better than any other airline: flying has become expensive in the COVID era. But Aer Lingus keeps us moving ahead. Great job!"

Then they told us the car seat needed to be against the fuselage, but that all the fuselage seats were taken. They did not offer a solution to this problem. I informed them this was TAP's fault for assigning those seats to us. They said they were not responsible, which is clearly wrong. They could have reassigned us at check-in and avoided the problem. They were very concerned about the ability of the person in front of us to recline their seat, but no interested at all in the safety of our baby. They told us we would not be able to use the seat, although our baby was already asleep. They were trying to find a way to make us leave the plane. Finally, some other passengers volunteered to move so we could sit against the fuselage with nobody in the seats in front of us, so we would not block them from reclining. A solution would not have been found by the crew. Only thanks to generous passengers were we able to stay on the plane, even though we were doing everything completely legally. They made my pregnant wife feel so bad that she cried for the first hour of the flight. Then, as the flight was concluding, our baby got airsick and vomited. They crew did nothing to help aside from bring 3 (!) napkins and then leave again. Incredibly unhelpful, mean, ignorant, and combative cabin crew. Truly appalling."

I had good experiences in the past and actually recommeded to friends/family. I hope this flight was an exception. A few things were not that good this time. 1) First of all, the online check-in wasn't working until a few hours before the flight, and I didn't even give me the option to choose my seat. Once in the plane, I noticed plenty of empty seats in several areas of the plane. I could have had a much better seat. Also, the fact that the price of the luggage in the ticket is not included is insane! They let you know right at the boarding area. Another 100 plus dollars in addition to the 1,6000 that I paid for the ticket. Incredible!! And they only gave us 15 dollars voucher!! 2) There was a 2 hours delay due to a storm in the south of the USA. Although I am fully understandable with the fact that this situation is out of hands for the TAP company, is it in their hands the care and wellbeing of their passengers. As previoulsy stated, I received a 15 dollars voucher to use becasue of the delay. At any airport, for any decent meal, you will pay a minimum of 25-30 dollars. All items are more expensive. While waiting in the gate to board, we were not offered with snacks, water, etc.. additionally, no announements or updates at all. 3) I had a very uncofortable situation with one of the filght attenders. Male, very tall, dark hair and dark skin. When distributing dinner, I found the way he approached me very disrespectul, ironic and dismissive. ZERO customer services and he is actually the face of TAP in these planes. Unaceptable. I have to look all the way up to him, he wouldn't make an effort to band a bit (of course, not completely) to at least try to hear what I was saying. He was requesting me to speak loud but he would not make a minimum effort to get close to me. His demeanor and attitude made me feel very upsted... abuse of power... to the pooint that I ended up not taking the meal. No manners at all. He should understand that after hours of waiting (check-in usual time plus the 2 hours delay) we were all very tired. Particularly at that timeof the day. Some of us where up for since earlyi in the moring and you could tell that most of the passengers were exhausted. The second we got into our seat, we all used our blankets and try to sleep. He was not empathetic or councious about that. I felt very uncomfortable. Both of the girls that were also in the back area of the plane, were also lacking manners and customer services. I don't know.. other times was much better."

Die Kaffeebewirtung wurde ab der Hälfte des Flugzeuges unterbrochen wegen Turbulenzen. Verständlich! Nur wurde der Rest der Passagiere danach nicht mehr bedient. Wer unbedingt Kaffee wollte, konnte einzeln in der Besatzungskabine nachfragen. Die Toiletten müssten bei einem Langstreckenflug unbedingt zwischendurch einmal gereinigt werden."

Negativ: "Have to pay to secure seats in advance. No access to a bassinet even though we were traveling with an infant"

Negativ: "They did not keep my luggage over the long stay. Had to carry it around Madrid. The meals I ordered were not available. No individual screen entertainmen ton the flight."

Negativ: "they didn't bring for all the passengers that ordered a kosher meal."

Positiv: "I'm a big guy, 6ft 4in, over 300lbs and I had an exceedingly comfortable 6 hour flight. Staff was friendly and just the right amount of interactive."

Negativ: "No complaints besides the seat cushions are so old they are hard as rocks now. No more padding in them."

Negativ: "Left late; 40 minutes. The Airbus A340 business class seats from JFK to MAD have a serious design flaw. Three people had their cell phones or iPads slip down the side of the seats, requiring the seats to be disassembled in flight, and getting down on the floor to reach in and get it....if you have small enough hands. Boeing aircraft are far better quality. Noisy aircraft, again, not Boeing quality."

Positiv: "In my opinion this to me was the best customer service experience ever on an aircraft. Crew was polite and attentive. Offered food and drinks which most airlines don't do anymore. A+!!"

Negativ: "Gave conflicting answers and slow status updates when the flight was rescheduled the next day, handled communication of rescheduled connections very poorly. No one, either at the gate or back in Spain, seemed to know what was going on. Will never fly with Air Europa again."

Negativ: "Website not working. I had to call and was sent a PDF boarding pass without a barcode. I ended queuing at the checkin counters again."

Positiv: "I was upgraded to business class which was very spacious and comfortable. The chair fully reclined and I was given a pillow and duvet. Details like a travel bag with socks and a toothbrush were a pleasant surprise. I was thrilled that I could charge my devices all at the same time due to ample outlets."
Negativ: "The food was just okay (only one option) and I had to ring the attendant to ask for water. There was no beverage service on a 7 hour flight and that seemed odd to me."

Positiv: "Was delayed getting into a gate once we arrived but other than that, overall a good flight."

Positiv: "The flight was great, had seen some negative reviews. But for me nothing negative to say about air Europa, wonderful seat, great flight crew, everything was on time. Just and overall great experience."

Positiv: "The movies were good."
Negativ: "The breakfast was horrible. Just bread and yogurt while firat class got sausages. The flight to madrid was 3 hours late that those with kayovers were scared of missing flights. Inefficient and unprofessional."

Negativ: "My flight was changed twice after I purchased it and it was delay over two hours. When it finally was time to"board" we found ourselves getting into a packed bus where we needed to stand to get to the actual plain. They never anouced it as such, elder people that night were struggling without previous notice. Very unprofessional and insensitive airline. Never again."

Negativ: "The flight was delayed more than 2hours. Our flight was supposed to depart at 01:15am and until 2am pilots didn't show up. The flight finally took off around 3am....such a bad experience in the mid night"

Negativ: "The boarding procedure need to improve."

Negativ: "I had asked for a bottle of water and offered to pay and was told no. There were TVs however they were scarce. The plane needs updating, seats were narrow and tattered."

Negativ: "Airlines provides no customer support. Do not take it. You have been warned. If you need any changes or any cancellations the policies are extremely unfair. Complete garbage."

Negativ: "Crowd like cattle at boarding. Seats poorly designed so you can't eat without spilling down your shirt. (Coach, natch.) My (and many) entertainment stations didn't work at all. Pilot didn't say a word the whole time altho lots of turbulence. English announcements fast and incomprehensible. Food really pretty wretched. All this in comparison to other transatlantic carriers at this point is frankly poor. (I do this 4 or 5 times a year. for years.)"
