Positiv:: Very clean and comfortable. Close to Bryce Canyon National Park.
Negativ:: Nothing to add.
Positiv:: The owners were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nicely furnished and very clean and locally produced natural bath products were supplied. Overall a very pleasant place to stay.
Positiv:: My stay was very comfortable.
Negativ:: The ice machine didn't work.
Positiv:: Sehr sauber und komfortabel. In unmittelbarer Nähe zum Bryce Canyon National Park.
Negativ:: Nichts hinzuzufügen.
Dieses Motel liegt in Tropic, nur 20 km entfernt von: Ebenezer's Barn and Grill, Bryce Canyon National Park und Kodachrome Basin State Park. Ebenfalls nur 20 km entfernt: Sunrise Point und Queens Garden Trailhead.
Positiv:: Great and helpful staff. They gave helpful tips about finding places to eat in a season when everything shuts down early
Positiv:: Super eager, friendly, courteous and helpful in keepers- all you could ask for really. Good breakfast choices, great advice on local hikes, clean and comfortable rooms. Patio chairs are a nice touch.
Negativ:: Everything was great- no critique.
Positiv:: Spacious, well cared for cabins in a quaint, small village close to the entrance to Bryce Canyon.
Negativ:: Poor views considering the beauty of the area. Staff seemed uninterested.
Positiv:: All good.
Negativ:: Is there an easier way to find my Best Western rewards #? Can't it just be linked to my name and address? Can BW send an electronic card to my phone that I can flash to the desk clerk? Come on people, this is the electronic age. Please make it easier to find. Thanks!!
Positiv:: I booked a king size room from getaroom recommended on Kayak. Received verification of king bed. After checking in, I went to the room and found it was 2 queens. Went back to front desk and was told they were sold out, did not have any king beds and do not honor request made through 3rd parties. I went back to my room and searched the availability of rooms and they were not sold out and King beds were available. They lied to me. I went back down stairs and the shift manager Mike (a girl) told me that what she meant was standard King beds were sold out. They had King rooms that were an upgrade from standard kings but I couldn't have one of them. I was, at the least, a little upset because I had a reservation for a standard King that they would not honor.
Negativ:: See above about room type. The facility was nice but their practice of giving you whatever room is available if you don't book directly through them is unacceptable. I use kayak, Expedia and trip advisor a great deal and have never had this problem.
Positiv:: Spacious room and great breakfast buffet.
Negativ:: Walls and ceilings were very thin. We could hear everyone talking and moving around in adjacent rooms. It sounded like there were elephants stampeding above us all night. Difficult to sleep.
Positiv:: The location to Bryce National Park was great and the accommodations were very comfortable and looked new
Positiv:: The room was thoroughly clean as promised
Negativ:: Staff and manager were confused over Kayak reservation.
They were not very polite.
The sanitation on the breakfast bar is questionable.
Positiv:: Complimentary breakfast was awesome. Best bacon ever. Location was also great; easy to get to Bryce for sunrise if you wish.
Positiv:: Location was great. Quiet. Good breakfast, including Cholula at every table! Room was clean and spacious. If you don't get to breakfast until 9am you might miss some of the selection.
Negativ:: Staff could be friendlier. Needs an indoor hot tub. Elevator was slow and heater in the room was pretty loud. Beds were pretty uncomfortable (lumpy). Extended breakfast hours for New Year's Day would be nice. Shower drain was slow to drain/partly clogged.
Positiv:: Fast check-in, clean rooms, and a great breakfast at a really good price.
Positiv:: Best of the rooms with all amenities. Fabulous Breakfast.
Perfectly located, just out of the main entrance of the Park gate.
Negativ:: Wifi - The internet provided sucks !!! Too slow :(
Positiv:: after a long day of hiking, this hotel had the best bed and shower. Also, great breakfast in the am.
Negativ:: A little on the pricey side, but nothing else to choose from that close to Bryce Canyon.
Negativ:: They should include breakfast with the stay. Keep the options simple. t is such a big hassle to line up for breakfast, then for lunch and dinner.
Negativ:: Coffee was not very tasty in the room
Positiv:: Would stay again :)
Positiv:: Location is perfect.
Negativ:: Room was not completely clean. Very noisy refrigerator, noise from upstairs walking in room. Room next door you could hear when they turned on the water.
Positiv:: Great location and great availability on off season.
Negativ:: Mini fridge was loud and made noise all night. Fighting Feral cats all over was disconcerting. Light in bathroom slow to come on.
Positiv:: Perfect for sunrise access to Bryce
Negativ:: Musty room long walk to main hotel/store
Positiv:: The location is super close to Bryce Canyon. The free shuttle (highly recommended) stops in front. The indoor pool and jacuzzi are nice. It's interesting to be in a unique property with a long history. It's got a cool western vibe throughout. Check in and check out was easy.
Negativ:: The stairwell in the main building reeks. The pool water is about 5 degrees too cold for comfort. The furniture and linens are dated. The noise above us on from the third floor was annoying. The grocery store is crazy expensive and fairly limited. I'd probably try the other Best Western property across the street, which is much newer.
Negativ:: Rug was all torn up. It was loud and two maids knocked on my door just after 9am and even after they knew I was still trying to sleep a bit longer, they were very loud outside and played loud music.
Positiv:: Check in was a breeze. Lots of shops and things to do on-site
Negativ:: My room, although clean and comfortable, seemed a little out dated. Extremely long line for dinner.
Positiv:: Close to park. Big rooms.
Negativ:: Front desk personnel were shockingly devoid of personal connections to guests. No interest or ability to answer questions of a first timer. And there was no one else in line. I have never experienced a greater lack of interest.
Positiv:: price and location
Negativ:: food at restaurants was terrible.Television remote functionality was bad
Positiv:: Everything worked and the room was clean.
Negativ:: Scary electrical setup for bed lamps with cords coming out of metal enclosures in a location that could easily produce fraying of the wires. Shower head was chest high. The staff was not exceptional in any way, but they were ok.
Positiv:: Clean and well maintained. Understand that the location is somewhat 'remote' and your choices will be limited.
Positiv:: Location is good.
Negativ:: Staff is not nice, even for a standard motel. feels like since you have paid then you just get what you have. No wifi. Not recommended if you have any other options.
Positiv:: Location was fine. Restaurant on site. very quiet.
Negativ:: Could use an update,but realize locations around national parks have this problem unless you want to pay a small fortune for a room.
Positiv:: Convenient to national park; easy parking; clean; friendly staff; GREAT restaurant; very comfortable bed; made reservation the night before very easily
Negativ:: No hot water in VERY cold winter night; Wifi did not work (very important because of poor cell service)
Positiv:: STAFF WAS GREAT. RESTAURANT NEXT DOOR WAS VERY GOOD AND CONVENIENT. WE WENT HORSEBACK RIDING AT THE HOTEL. EASY TO GET ACCESS TO BRYCE PARK. IT WAS SMALL AND COMFORTABLE, NOT TOURISTY. WE ENJOYED OUR STAY. BEDS WERE COMFORTABLE
Negativ:: NO MILK AT FREE COFFEE IN AM
Positiv:: Loved the atmosphere and the fact that it wasn't close to the big resorts. Although it was only a short drive to get to Bryce Canyon. About 4 miles.
Negativ:: We would have liked a refrigerator and possibly a microwave to reheat leftovers. Shampoo would have been nice too! Although I had a little in my bag from the last place we stayed on our trip.
Positiv:: Location, hot tub, restaurant as part of hotel
Negativ:: Overall aesthetics
The attached restaurant is excellent.
Positiv:: This is an authentic family owned and managed hotel. Dated but clean and more than adequate.
Positiv:: Near Bryce Canyon Entrance and the Park Shuttle
Negativ:: Swimming Pool and Hot Tub were not open. Main reason we booked the place. Internet was not very fast and kept getting lost connection on an IPAD
Positiv:: Very cozy! Had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and kind. Loved the restaurant! Ate three meals there. Loved every one.
Negativ:: Looked s little stark, when we first drove up. Probably because it is early spring.
Positiv:: The cabins were a nice change from a hotel and a cute idea.
Negativ:: It was ok that there was no closet, but some hooks on the wall to hang coats or clothes would have been nice. Also, the shower head was at an awkward angle. An adjustable one would have been better, or one directly overhead. All in all, we enjoyed it very much.
Positiv:: We liked the cleanliness, service at the front desk, location. Very pleasant stay averall!
Positiv:: It was so nice being close to the park and to have an inexpensive option because we were not in the room much. The room was old but very clean and comfortable and we had access to amenities in the sister hotels if we wanted. We did take advantage of the nice hot tub at Ruby's Inn one evening to soak our sore muscles, the temperature was perfect and we felt great after. We requested a refrigerator and microwave and our room had them!
Negativ:: The facility was old, having to go up the stairs.
Positiv:: Spacious rooms, clean and well located
Negativ:: For the price, could have thrown in a free breakfast
Positiv:: Proximity to Bryce
Positiv:: Great location, great value. Clean rooms, very pleased overall.
Negativ:: Paving parking lot at time of my stay (not a big deal)
Positiv:: Room was clean and comfortable
Negativ:: Furniture looked old and dated
Positiv:: Very close to Bryce Canyon National Park
Negativ:: Old building, only one place to eat in town, room not designed for comfort. No breakfast included. Heater did not work well.
Positiv:: Location, room was clean and comfortable, nice staff - checked in pretty late and they gave me good recommendations.
Negativ:: They don't have any facilities within the hotel - you have to cross the road to the Ruby if you want to dine, laundry, etc.
Positiv:: It was clean enough to stay overnight.
Negativ:: Floors were very squeaky in the bathroom area.
Positiv:: Good location to national park. Clean and comfy.
Negativ:: Squeaky floors. Would have hate to have been on bottom floor.
Positiv:: Cute place. It's an older style motel room with obviously aging furniture and bathroom fixtures, but it had everything we needed on our one-night stay on the way to Bryce Canyon. It's definitely the best value in the area as it's only a 15 minute drive from Bryce Canyon for much cheaper than the options in Bryce itself.
I recommend the Pizza Place for dinner - they have an excellent dough recipe that apparently takes 3 days to make!
Negativ:: There is no mini fridge
Positiv:: Was lucky to make reservation the day before. Only about seven miles from Bryce Canyon park. Motels nearer were 2-3 Times more in price. we just needed a clean place with wi-fi connection. Not sure what else was available.
Positiv:: The staff were extremely welcoming and kind. Attached to the only restaurant open till 11pm for late check ins like us. Delicious food, can be a tad expensive, but again, delicious. Room was comfy and homey.
Negativ:: I would understand being charged for lodging if I didn't show up, but I would venture a bet that my room was rented out again after I gave 3 days' notice. If the hotel was able to rebook my room it seems only fair that I wouldn't have to pay for the stay I didn't make. That's how I do it at my place of business.
Positiv:: Great customer service, clean, cheap, convenient location
Positiv:: Location was close to the Canyons
Negativ:: They should be ashamed of themselves to hold themselves out as a resort, truly deceptive advertising. Pretty mush like a joke from a Chevy Chase movie.
It was a run down joke
Positiv:: It was quiet, relaxing, staff was quite friendly and accommodating.
Negativ:: Lack of WiFi in the rooms, and low cell phone reception. The room was fair in cleanliness. I tried to find additional plug in for two C paps, and found candy wrapper, and dirt behind the bedside table, so it was not vacuumed there. This bothered me, because I am OCD and focused on what else might have been missed. The rest of the room seemed fine.
Our room was under stairs, and so parking was a bit inconvenient to our room.
Positiv:: NEAR BRYCE CANYON ACCESS
Negativ:: no WIFI ACCESS
Positiv:: Location, restaurant was good.
Negativ:: Room was very dated, noisy as next to employee area, no wifi, few facilities, and pricey for the accommodations.
Positiv:: Bryce Canyon Resort is centrally located and close to Bryce National Park, Grand Staircase Escalante, red canyon and other cool places to explore. We were there to hike the area and did not want to spend too much on a hotel and not have to drive too much. This was perfect for that.
The room was spacious and the manager guy was very friendly. The laundry facility was cheaper here than at other places.
Negativ:: The restaurant was AWFUL. Do yourself a favor and save money by just going to subway.
The room could have been cleaner (there were long black hairs in the bedding, black mold and pink fungus in the shower and luggage tags stuck on the comforter).
This is a simple motel and if you are looking for something reasonably priced in the area and centrally located, but not fancy then this place is perfect. If we were going on another hiking place in the area we would consider staying here again.
Positiv:: Pleasant, good value. Close to Bryce Park entrance. Nice woodsy lobby with free coffee, fireplace (but they didn't have a fire), couches, and internet; sort of like a big living room to hang out in. Two sinks in bathroom.
Negativ:: Internet ONLY in lobby.
Positiv:: Toller Kundenservice, sauber, billig, günstige Lage
