We booked our reservations months in advance and when we got there we were told they were over booked. They made us go to another hotel 45 mins away. I was very upset and not a good way to stay a vacation.
Everything was actually wonderful. We got in really late and check in was very quick and easy. The staff was very helpful and nice. I would go back there without thinking twice.
My wife and I frequent this hotel because we know exactly what to expect. Great value, friendly staff, and very nice rooms.
Room was clean Staff wasn't attentive to repair requests made for door lock. Seems as if someone had been in my room when I was not there. No cameras to confirm.
The room was nice. Free breakfast there was no free breakfast just snacks.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They greeted me with a pleasant attitude. The rooms were very clean and room service was great! I could not stay longer.
The room is comfy and good, but the room we got was on the ground floor, with the window blocked all the time by a truck... The room was much smaller than other Extended Stay hotels we stayed.
Kitchen accommodations and cleanliness. No
NOTHING. TOTALLY INFLEXIBLE I did not appreciate being ripped off by means of not once being told check in was after 4p. I explicitly requested aroom for the day not night..so I never went to hotelSo basically I got robbed asked for a room for the day soI could sleep.an leave @4:30
The washer and dryers cleaned and dried my clothes. The halls looked out of date. Can use some remodeling.
I didn't like it at all I did stay The hotel is not good
Staff is incredible. Each lady from morning shift to overnight shift is very helpful and caring. Along with patient. Breakfast. More options of items and or variety. Laundry unit is extremely expensive.
Location The fact that when we called to inquire about the room and were told that they had a pullout sofa and living area in the room only to find when we arrived they did not have that at all. Very disappointing. Also having to pay an extra $10 a for housekeepin
Location and price. Rooms not very clean upon arrival.
Location is the Key! The only thing that I did not like was how the rooms smelled... most of the rooms smelled like cigarette smoke of some sort... other than that it's a nice hotel.
It is well located. It wasn't clean. The elevators were full of trash. The employees in the reception were not kind. The worst part was the bathroom inside the room. The faucet wasn't working. The shower pressure was a mess.
Decor and friendly staff. Wish check in could be earlier
It was close to the NO air port , ( between 5 & 10 min) but not too close that you get the noise or the higher price of being right at the air port. I would stay there again. Pillows were too small and there isn't much around in walking distance .
The staff was very professional, the room was clean and the breakfast was very generous! We really appreciated the airport shuttle service!
We would certainly recommend this hotel to friends. Everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable. We had arrived way before check in time after being on a cruise. We were offered a secure place to store our luggage, they made sure our rooms were the first ones cleaned. We certainly appreciated that more than anyone knows. Drinks and snacks were offered too. This is by far one of the most accommodating hotels we have ever stayed at......kudos to the staff everything was perfect and we had a great day relaxing.....
Staff was rude and unhelpful.
Quiet, away from all the craziness of the French Quarter. Rooms were clean and the view of the lake was amazing. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The pool was also very nice as was the restaurant.
Staff was really welcoming, complimentary parking was a plus!! Complimentary breakfast AND lunch!!
The hotel decor was awesome. You got a luxury feel, for non luxury price!! The hotel was out of King rooms. And since our room was either king or double, we were stuck with a double. My wife and I just pushed the beds together. We made the best out of the situation!!
The room was clean and comfortable. We checked in at 4pm and 1 of our room was not ready. The staff informed she can get us another room but it will not have a double bed. We did not want to wait 1-2 hours so we agreed. Not once through that whole conversation did we get an apology for the inconvinience. The staff informed us the room was paid through booking.com and requested a credit card for incidentals. However, the card was charged at the end of the stay and a different staff informed us booking.com did not charged us initially. We had to get the payment switched to the card we initially thought was charged on booking.com Also, we had to get a pass every single day to use the fitness and pool.
The maid came barging into the room at 845am and told me where to leave her tip. I will not ever be back.
Location. No sound insulation whatsoever. Noisiest room I have ever stayed in. No amenities, not a bottle of water or a cup of coffee in the lobby at these prices? Ridiculous. We were put in a handicapped accessible room without being told. So we had the tub with hand held shower and a single sink etc. just an overall cheap experience. Not up to Marriott hotel standards.
The facility is fine. Reasonably new and at one time would have been considered upscale. The staff was by far the worst. Dishes remained in the hall from other rooms. They never serviced the room for overnight and when I went to talk to the cleaning staff they did not speak English. People in general were grumpy. It was a weekend and I do not generally travel on weekends. So maybe they just don't like working weekends.
The people who work there were so rude to the customers. Cleaning service was so bad. I asked them to clean our room when i was out for touring, but when i came back, they PRETENDED like they cleaned the room but saw dirty stuff everywhere and, very rude to the customers. I would not recommend the hotel for whoever wants to go to New Orleans.
Good price and convenient to Metairie and the North Shore...I'd recommend for a business stay. Cool hotel bar. For leisure there are better places, closer to New Orleans. It's the small things that make or break this hotel. The room was nice and comfy enough but our room service breakfast menu had clearly been written in by the previous guest. The carpets in the halls are coming up--we tripped a few times. My 'favorite' part of the stay was when I checked in and the Front Desk Agent asked if we were familiar with the area. When I told her that we were from Metairie and were just 'hanging out' for the weekend she made a face and said, "Hm. Well some of us just aren't able." Not my fault she's bitter about working at a front desk.
Comfortable bed, clean room, decent concierge lounge, restaurant service was quick and pleasant. Front desk was busy so even though I mobile checked-in, I had to wait . I also asked about UPS shipping and the early morning group couldn't help me. I had to wait for the day time crew. The room seemed worn and like it needs updating. The coffee shop on the main floor (part of the hotel) was out of soy milk all three days I stayed at the hotel. Very disappointing.
Family atmosphere the broken cooling sysem in my room
Front desk staff was friendly The room doors slam so it was distruptive night and morning. Also the walls were thin so we could hear the next door neighbor as well as the housekeeping staff's music (very loud). Location was difficult to navigate. Was not informed of a reception mentioned in other reviews.
I enjoyed the quietness, spaceousness and cleanliness of our room. It was a real treat for my daughter and myself to have two kingsized beds and two vanity areas. Also we were less than ten minutes to our destination, the Beth Moore Conference.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the very comfortable room, the easy access to a great restaurant and the great breakfast.
Unfortunately we didn't know that the week we wanted to go to New Orleans was one of the busiest in the year. Many places were booked out. We chose this hotel based on a price, not realising that it is miles out of town and cost us at least $25.00 each way for taxis to get to town. The hotel is a nice place with swimming pool etc and would be great for a family with a car. It puts on a great breakfast each morning. Noisy air conditioner.
Breakfast was good, flavorful & hot Not enough bell hop carts
The room was clean and nice. The bathroom was very large. The bed was very comfortable. The walls are paper thin. We could hear normal talking in the next room. The TV remote worked very poorly.
Convenient location of the hotel, near the airport (we arrived from a long trip) we have appreciated the quietness of the room. Silence is too often overlooked. Beds were good. Furniture and general ambience of the room not very "fresh" and "gay"
Problem at check in, the hotel didn't know I was coming. There was no record of my stay. If the hotel would have been full, I would had a problem. See above
it gave me a chance to have a vacation getaway even though i live in the same city...felt like i was out of town nope
REMODELING, A MESS!
Good location near places we needed to go. Reasonable parking. No hair dryer in room. Desk staff often away from desk for 5 or more minutes.
space and privacy the outside pool. An option for an indoor pool should be considered.
Very large room for reasonable price Hallway had a weird smell
Breakfast and room size. No hair dryer.

location and personnel
Clean room, friendly staff. I'd stay again.
This is my second time staying here and as usual this hotel was very accommodating to my needs. They go above and beyond to make your stay as wonderful as possible.... Didn't stay long enough.
100 pet fee added without mentioning it during reservation. No hot water one day (we stayed two days)!

Very outdated and worn. I had a two bedroom two bathroom suite and there was no trash cans anywhere! The furniture was broken down. Not someplace that I would recommend or stay at again.
The location is good if you are in the Metairie area. The price was very good. The rooms were clean. We needed a clean, inexpensive place to spend the night. This fit the bill. It's difficult to get to the motel, as it is tucked in behind a much larger Holiday Inn. Breakfast was ok, but they have a coffee machine that dispenses instant coffee and I hate those little one-cup machines in the rooms. The clientele is primarily working-class: truckers, construction workers, etc. The attached restaurant is a diner.
Location was awesome. Very affordable! Dark carpet in the room gave the appearance of being dirty.
Size of rooms, location to New Orleans, free breakfast in the morning, and ample parking. The bathrooms weren't that clean and neither were the floors
Location, staff was nice. Dirty from top to bottom inside the rooms, outside the facility and would not get in the pool.
Facilities need to be updated. Door was broken.
Great location for eating in Lakeshore Bathroom was mildewy and the toilet was about a foot off the ground
Location Requested non smoking room the room smelled smoke even when was clean. When booked room I spent extra money for pillow top mattress there is none in the hotel and the Is No hand held shower. The way it read only up grade rooms had fridge and microwave in them every room has them.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The room was poorly maintained, the drain in tub malfunctioned and the key wouldn't work 2 of the 3 nights
Easy access. Right next to the freeway. Not far from the airport. They have great pictures on line. I booked on kayak and the pictures there were amazing. It's right next to the freeway. No views and nonstop traffic. The building seems old, dated, and stereotypical near airport crappy motel vibe.
Room was large and had a full kitchen. Beds were comfy and staff were friendly.
My husband and I wanted a relatively close to New Orleans without much fuss. It was clean. Staff was very friendly. It was easy to get on and off I-10. We would stay again. No frills! No fuss! Perfect for us!
The room was beautiful, the staff was very helpful and alway available. I really miss not having a coffee maker in my room.
The hotel was beautiful, room was comfortable, staff was wonderful Our only complaints were that the tv didn't always work very well. It would cut out for no apparent reason and sometimes just stop working. We also felt that the movie rentals were absurdly expensive. I've never had a hotel charge $19 for almost every movie available.
The pool is so nice! Our room was fabulous!
The building is beautiful and there are great bars/restaurants in the lobby. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was a bit disappointing for a luxury hotel. Also, the spa was disappointing.
Nothing good except location. The first thing we noticed was the hotel was ordinary. The beds were done but was getting a feeling of not much cleanliness. There was no hot water. On complaining to the attendant at front desk, all we got was "yes we know there is a water problem in the area". How does that even relate to water being hot? There was only one towel. We were 3 friends in that room so ideally they should be giving 3 towels. On the front desk the attendant says they don't have towels and will give new towel only after they get back the other towel. This hotel looked more like extended stay. There was no housekeeping as well.for the price we paid, this was even more than a 5 star hotel in Vegas and with absolutely no facilities!!
The comfort and cleanliness of the rooms Parking acomadations could have been better not many places to park where you can keep an eye on you vehicle
Pool and rooms No hot tub or fitness center
Very friendly staff & helpful. Clean rooms & excellent breakfast. I stay just for a getaway.
i like the free parking in their private lot. no i cant think of anything
Personnel Parking limited
Location, obliging fun staff As Americans get older, I just wish the toilets were higher. Lower ones set off knee problems.
Close zu interstate , nice breakfast. Breakfast room very small
All I was looking for was a cheap clean room to stay the night without all the bells and whistles of a higher priced hotel. That's just what I got. 5/5 stars. Nothing. It was a great hotel.
Good location.Clean hotel. The staff was great. We were greeted at check in by Hotel employee. He gave as some great information regarding parking, restaurants, and points of interest in New Orleans. The full breakfast was also a plus. Everything was great.
Breakfast was very nice. All staff was extremely accommodating. Fitness room served the purpose. Bar and/or restaurant would have been nice.
The ability to get a smoking room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location. The smoking room smelled of stake smoke and the fan in the bathroom didn't work. My concern is that the staff saiud it is used as a non-smoking room sometimes also. Only my husband smokes and our house never smells that bad. I had a hard time breathing.
Clean ! No closet or indoor pool

I called up the hotel twice (that we were checking-in late) to make sure that our room will be reserved; talked to the same lady (pm staff, Asian); and by the time we got in the hotel...she already remembered my name! She was very nice & helpful!
The daily breakfast was well stocked and the hotel was clean. The water pressure in the shower was pretty poor I was staying near the top floor, so it is possible it is better on the lower floors. The elevators were poorly maintained and did not run very well. When I made my reservation over 3 months ago, I requested one king bed and when I checked in, they had no king beds available and we were given a room with 2 double beds. The walls are very thin and every morning we were woken up to our neighbors talking and getting ready for their day.
rooms were spacious and well designed clean facility close to attractions the floor we stayed at did have an odd smell but the room was okay
bourbon street, shopping, gambling, dinning no complaints
The rooms were large
Free breakfast was served late. Requested 2 beds only got one.
Great location for Mardi Gras parade watching and partying on Bourbon St. Just blocks away from Canal St. and St. Charles street car lines. 10-15min walk to the French Quarter. The room and hotel was very clean and staff friendly. The free continental breakfast was good for saving a few bucks but it's not the best. Sofa sleeper was awful, mattress was very uncomfortable! King bed was nice and big but the mattress was nothing to brag about!
Room comfort and amenities in the room. Water pressure/shower only no tub in room Only 2 elevators were working at one point which was awful but eventually repaired. Poor lighting near full length mirror near entry door. No light there to use mirror.
Our room was great! It was huge, clean and very comfortable! Staff was very friendly! Would stay there again! Great access to the French quarter!
Great location and room was delightfully featured. The managers reception on Wednesday was a most welcome feed with drinks. It was a jolt in the wrong direction to have breakfast from stryrofoam bowls and plates with disposable cutlery. The food was good but it really dulled the otherwise upmarket feel of the establishment to be greeted with disposables though I guess it kept the price good.
The hotel does not look that inviting from the outside but the interior of the hotel is very modern, clean and well maintained. The hotel requires guests to use their room key to get to their rooms for added security. The customer service is excellent! I would stay in a Hampton Inn Hotel again. There wasn't anything about this hotel I did not like.
Staff was nice. Room was clean.
The room was clean and served our purpose of somewhere to lay our head after the concert we attended that was across the street at Zephyr Field. Sketchy Trailer Park next door made us fear our vehicle would get broken into. We parked on the Sonic side and walked to our room on the opposite side of the complex.
