Great customer service and standar

We were an hour late which certainly wasn’t Finnair’s problem since we boarded on time. The bus ride from the airport terminal to the plane was almost as long is the flight itself. I my first flight with Finnair and so far I am pleased.

Food was my least favorite but everything else was good

Check-in Zürich: Rollstuhl war angemeldet, aber selbst auf Nachfrage fühlte sich niemand zuständig. Erst am Gate kam Unterstützung, aber da war es ja auch unvermeidlich (!?) Helsinki und Tromsö war vorbildlich!

Checking in online was impossible! I completed the travel documentation and saved it, but my record locator was not recognized over and over.

Typischer inner-europäischer flug. Frühstück in der Business Class sehr rudimentär

Wir flogen Business Class Langstrecke auf dem A350. Das Bett ist etwas kurz und geht sehr spitz an den Füßen zu. Die bestellte Obstplatte war schwach.

At least a sandwich for passengers would be nice. Crew was fantastic. Take of on time, landing even better. We had a wonderful flight.

Twice I called to see if A meal was served on the 1st class flight and was told no. So no gluten free meal for my wife and we purchased meals to carry on with us. Annoyed.

Usual abysmal BA offering: 90 minutes late due to “late inbound aircraft”. Tired, overcrowded A320 with impersonal, couldn’t care less cabin crew. All for a premium price.

British airways could not find our reservations, also when leaving LAX they showed duplicate reservations. Lost luggage going and coming back. British Airways rep said we should not have used Kayak, too Many mixups.

Beim nächsten Mal würde ich gern für den Anschlussflug nicht ungefragt umgebucht werden, während ich in der Luft bin und dann nicht mal eine Info darüber bekommen.

Insgesamt war der Flug ok, nach dem Desaster davor mit verpasstem Anschlussflug und den lautstarken Mitreisenden, wo niemand etwas unternahm von der Crew. Insgesamt hatten wir ca. 15 min. Verspätung.

BA is just Ryanair with better livery.

Security at BER was painfully slow, the staff just didn't seem in interested. The Swissport boarding agents were also rude.

Boarding in Heathrow was a total mass due to staff shortages. 3 out of 4 flight legs were delayed, some considerably. Food is as always mediocre, but plentiful. IFE is a bit dated with imo poor movie choices. Cabin staff was always amazing, friendly and helpful. Always available and smiling, even through the mask. Very clean lavatories and comfortable seats in business, although the product does feel a little dated by now.

I fly British Airways because they have convenient timings not because I’m expecting competence or comfort. Typically mediocre check in speed and flight punctuality. Old and tired planes. Oh well hopefully more choice will open up soon. And then it’s goodbye BA.

Delayed flight, no information as to why, more standing on the runway with no information and after landing, more delays with security gates not working. Just a shambles, lack of communication and lack of customer care.

Da denkt man.an einen best. Zeichentrickfilm.... Dann kein Gate bekannt. Verspätung. Ewig Schlange am Rollfeld in Heathrow. Endlich in München, warten auf den Minnikoffer.... keine Informationen..... von den Angestellten des Flughafens an den für Koffer zuständigen BA Schalter verwiesen. Dort sprach man angeblich kein deutsch, in München am Schalter. In englisch war man dann nicht zuständig, der Schalter über dem stand abhandene Koffer.... Als ich deutlich meinen Unmut geäußert habe, wurde ich beleidigt. Nach einer halben Stunde endlich, kamen alle Koffer des London /München Fluges an. Auch mein gezwungenermaßen eingechecktes Handgepäck. Ich fand es schon während des Fluges nicht zeitgemäß alle Ansagen ausschließlich auf englisch zu machen. Es war ja ein innereuropäischer Flug, da möchte man meinen, die Sprache des Zielortes wird miteinbezogen."

Positiv: "Sehr aufmerksames Flugpersonal, gutes Essen, Anschlussflug zwar knapp bemessen aber es ging gerade noch!"

Als Alleinreisender ist der Fensterplatz immer blöd, besonders bei eine 3-3-3 Bestuhlung in der Boeing 787-9 in der Economy Class, weil man gleich 2 unbekannte Leute aufscheuchen muss, wenn man zur Toilette will. Sitzbreite und Fußraum sind für einen Langstrecken- Flug gerade noch akzeptabel. Wenn nicht Mitglieder meiner Reisegruppe, die ich in den letzten Tagen kennenlernte neben mir sassen, wäre es schlimmer gewesen.

+ Es war ein angenehmer Flug trotz Verspätung. - Die Toiletten waren gehen Ende des Fluges absolut ekelerregend aufgrund von Unfähigkeit mancher Fluggäste anständig auf die Toilette zu gehen.

Bordpersonal war sagen wir mal nicht unfreundlich, mehr aber auch nicht. Höflich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam ist anders. Der Flug ging von Berlin. Es lag also auf der Hand, dass sehr viele Fluggäste deutsch als ihre Muttersprache haben. Das störte die Flugbegleiterin aber nicht. Sie sprach ein so schnelles und undeutliches Englisch, dass sie nicht bis gar nicht zu verstehen war."

This is a strong statement in non discrimination on Account of age in employment. To see a red Indian lady among them was very refreshing."
Negativ: "Dimming of the windows was not user friendly and we had to put up with bright reflected lights from clouds. On ground both in Calgary and Vancouver the wheel chair attendance was not at the same level as in Frankfurt where it had been given with paramedic competence."

Negativ: "Paid almost $500 to upgrade to Premium economy - electronic window shades were not functional and was sitting on the South side getting full sun for all the flight. Eventually tore out pages from magazine and stuck them in the window to get some shade. This is the second Air Canada flight in 2 months with electrical issues that I have experienced."

Customs and security were confusing, inefficient, and staffed by people who had little patience. There was much yelling and running around., there appeared to be little sympathy or concern for the dozens of passengers who were attempting to make connecting flights, and it was ridiculous to announce that security closed at 9p.m. .when there were planes on the runway awaiting connecting passengers and people with boarding passes who were not allowed to catch their flights."

We could see them at the counter where our gate was but no one would come out and talk to us! Our plane finally got off the ground at 8:30 PM!"

Negativ: "On Monday, September 3, I traveled from Frankfurt to Washington Dulles on United 933 (this return trip to the US began in Rome on Lufthansa earlier in the afternoon). The plane left on time and we touched down at Dulles on time (a little before 8pm EDT), after flying 8 hours. It was 2am Central Europe time. Experience with customs / passport control at Dulles was the worst I've ever experienced, in any country. In my life I’ve traveled to 40 countries (lived in 7) and flown many different carriers. I stood in line 2 (TWO) hours before finally seeing passport control and quickly getting cleared through. There were no announcements of any kind as we waited, and the airport acted as if it were routine and expected that all these people, some with small children be put through this ordeal. There were about 4 or 5 men or women manning the passport control booths, though capacity for maybe 20 more. Some people while in line downloaded the Mobile Passport and were able to then bypass the line. I had technical problems with my phone and could not. Again, NO communication was made by airport personnel or United; we were on our own. Because of this unexpected delay, I had to catch a taxi to my home in Arlington for a fee of $55. I had planned to catch less expensive transport but was already late for a planned event."

Negativ: "I booked through the United website as trip from US, have Silver status on United, and Lufthansa's policies of not allowing advance (1-2 mo before flight) seat selection (never on UA nor LH websites) are just horrible. Hard to get through on 800 number, and 1 day before trip answer was still to do it in Frankfurt. Economy plus was $1000 more/person, and even then no guarantee I could choose a seat far in advance. Then, at computer kiosk in Frankfurt, they had a wrong diagram of the plane,as we ended up on what turned out to be a no-recline row which I would never get. I'm 6'2", 230lbs, and wasn't able to sleep on that flight. Had I been able to reserve a seat behind a bulkhead or in exit row 2mos in advance, I would have been fine."
