From USA, San Jose, Ca, to Frankfurt, Germany everything was good (flight on 08/31/2018 - 09/01/2018). They have been very profesional, beganing wih the boarding time untill the arrival in Frankfurt. The flight to Romania was a different story. They haven't been very professional at all. The flight had a delay and nobody said a word. It was just a clerck there who didn't tell to the Lufthansa passengers for a while anything about our delay. So, finally, he said after 15-20 minutes that our fligt will be later, 20 minutes, than the scheduled time on our tickets. They seemed do not care too much about the Romanian passengers."

My "A" window seat in economy had significantly reduce foot space due to a metal box installed in the space. The seat was not particularly well designed, but it's economy so you get what you get. The food was average at best."

I have saved those and will be contacting Kayak for some type of reasonable compensation for this terrible error on their part. No message at all would be much better than a message sending me to the wrong place!"

Negativ: "This flight was delayed 12 hours. They kept the passengers in a terminal that was partially open to outdoors, and this was in the middle of winter and it was only 35° F. In fact the reason for the delay was because of weather. When asked about a Plan B, they talked in circles and gave us no real answers. Every hour they said wait another hour and this went on for 12 hours. Had they just cancelled the flight early on and made other arrangements, passengers could have gotten out of the cold and gotten food for themselves. When told that people were hungry and freezing, instead of moving to an indoor heated terminal, they simply brought down airplane blankets which did little, and a case of water bottles and airplane food to which they only passed out to the Chinese passengers and when any nonChinese passengers went to get food or water, there were turned away. I truly have never experienced anything in my life like this. It borderlined on inhumane. Worst experience of my life. Do not ever fly China Eastern."

Only to arrive to my seat and see that i was stuck in the middle section. To make matters ever worse I was sandwiched between 1 overweight man that was spilling into my seat and another man how packed proper hygiene. His ordor was so pungent i almost Vomited and had to keep my face covered the entire flight."

It took me an hour to discover that in Korea before I switched. How about a warning up front? Just nothing but error codes. Finally, the check in process in Frankfurt was outlandish for MU 220. We arrived too early; only to find Delta in place of CE I get that. He suggested coming back at 10:30. We did. Still no CE clerks. At about 10:45 someone showed up. So when another gentleman got in line so did we. This individual who started rearranging the stanchions notice us standing in line and offered no information. Then a tour group showed up and filled in the rest of the line but in the line next to us. Finally, at about 11:35 the clerks were ready to start check in. Just prior to that they had changed the electronic signs to show that we were now in the Priority check in line. No problem, so I thought, because the first individual had seen us waiting since she got there. However, when the poor gentleman, who was in front of us, tried to check in in the economy line he was refused and so were my wife and I. The only explanation the person gave was that she "was only there to care for the economy check in line". No compassion, no caring no thinking outside the box! The tour guide noticed the situation and motioned us ahead of her group. My wife and I passed to a counter who did her job; but another CE counter rep refused to simply do his job and check in the poor man in. He was ushered to the back of the line beyond the stanchions. This left a bad taste in my mouth. I recently watched a documentary about how they were handled the great amount of passengers at the "World's busiest Airport". They failed to mention not really caring about the one lone individual who had showed up early. My wife and I have discussed this problem and will seriously consider not using China Eastern any time soon!"

Calling the agency Lastminute.com that had sold the ticket was not helpful either - they stated that they had no control over the ticket in the last 24h prior to departure and were unable to provide any assistance and no information how to activate the insurance purchased prior. Very dissatisfying experience. I take over 50 flights a year - worst assistance experience ever."

I had no money and I did not speak the language and the only solution they gave me was to call costumer service with the coins I have left. Leider habe ich dadurch meinen Anschlußflug in Peking verpasst und wurde erneut umgebucht und habe dann über einen Umweg nach Zürich mein entgültiges Ziel erreicht."

Wenn ein Flug in Richtung Deutschland geht, erwarte ich Ansagen auch in der Sprache des Ziellandes. Das hat nichts mit Verständigung zu tun, sondern ist vielmehr eine verbindende Geste"
Negativ: "No tv on this flight. Kinda sucked but hey, first world problems. Overall it was just fine"
Positiv: "Das Personal hat seinen Job ordentlich gemacht, nicht weniger, allerdings auch nicht mehr... Das Essen war auffallend gut, zwar einfach, aber guter Geschmack"
Negativ: "Der Flug war spät in DUS los und hat leider nichts aufgeholt; 1, 5 Std. verloren. Die Sitze waren sehr eng und die Maschine war sehr voll. Dementsprechend war es sehr laut...."
Positiv: "Not near as bad as the reviews I've read. Service was good and seats comfortable."
Negativ: "food isn't great (but is it good on any other economy flight), nor is drink service (they really limit when you can order wine). Poor entertainment."
Positiv: "The flight crew was great. Very pleasant and helpful."
Negativ: "They lost my luggage. Also the plane left Seoul almost an hour late. The plane itself was very old, so no electronic devices of any kind were allowed, some of the seat controls didnt work, and there were no private video screens. And this was in business class."
Negativ: "Delayed flight, dirty restrooms"
Positiv: "Unedable food"
Negativ: "Booked beyond recognition flavourless"
Positiv: "AVML was very good thanks to German catering."
Negativ: "Outdated electronic device policy. Can't even operate in flight mode. While other airlines offer wifi service (LH, UA ETC)."
Positiv: "Food was good. Flight attendants were good."
Negativ: "Tiny beds in business class with two-across seating so the window passenger has to climb over the aisle passenger. Are they stuck in the 90s? I won't fly with them again. Boarding in Beijing for Manila was a free for all. Business class was not called first. Isn't this why I pay triple the coach fare? No English language newspapers from Los Angeles to Beijing."
Positiv: "Doesn't matter if your economy or first class. First one to the gate gets in. Good for me because I always fly economy."
Negativ: "Typical Chinese service, poor. Will never fly Air China ever again. Only reason why I book the ticket because it was cheap, now I know why."
Positiv: "Not much"
Negativ: "Did not bring wheelchair to board at gate for my friend. I asked them to bring it they said were you brought in by wheelchair I said yes she was. She said just sit down someone will come back to Board your friend , everyone started to board still no wheelchair I went to ask again she got annoyed and told me sit down horrible flight will never use them again."
Positiv: "The crew was very accommodating."
Negativ: "There were many empty seats. I think the airline could have done better to spread people out into unused seats. I eventually asked to move myself but people in the middle rows had already moved to take up four seats."
Negativ: "cannot access the reservation or checkin at Air China site"
Positiv: "Complimentary Movies with headphones provided were a plus. Tenants on the first flight were nice and accommodated me being a vegetarian with out any frustration. But the transfer flight with AirChina was not too happy about it. Meals were provided. If you are not vegetarian or find out how to put your name on a special request sheet it should go smooth."
Negativ: "Seats were very narrow and seat by window wouldn't recline like other window seats. (No I was not by the exit.) I am a vegetarian. And asked for no meat. They didn't have a my name in a special request list. The crew member did know how I would be asked to be put on the list. I had a transfer flight with Air china to Dubai. The crew members in that flight were very rude even when I told them during boarding and a crew member came across with the special request sheet. Still no one could tell me how to put my name down as a special request to avoid any further confusion."
Negativ: "They have no refund policy. I needed to change my flight date, but did not have a firm date in mind. Air China does not allow this. This is very unusual in my experience. And I fly a lot. Cheap bastards."
Negativ: "My bag was lost and was not returned to me until 48 hours later."
Negativ: "they lost our baggage"
Positiv: "In flight movies."
Negativ: "Long delay - forced to sit in plane at gate. Very little cabin air. Stuffy and very hot!"
Negativ: "Flight was cancelled and the airline was not empathetic or helpful."
Negativ: "The flight to Bangkok was delayed 8 hours with no information for most of that time. The flight back was delayed 2 hours. My bags were lost on the flight back. The food is horrible and the service terrible. The audio quality for entertainment was awful. Stay far away from this airline."
Negativ: "FA should speak English better"
Negativ: "1. Very rude staff. Very inconsistent. No customer service skills or people skills. 2. Food was horrible. I wouldn't feed it to my dog. Kids meal was bad as well. 3. Nonalcoholic beverage selection was very limited. 4. Very small English movie selection for a very long flight. 5. Blankets were used and had stains for the previous flight. I've flown different airlines before and never had this many issues. Air China please take a step back and reevaluate."
