I went to the new airport but I was late for boarding because my time was wasted in going first to the Benazir International Airport and then rerouting to the new airport. Fortunately the fight from Islamabad to Qatar was delayed and I was able to make it to the boarding and flew from Islamabad to Doha."

So for the price I thought what the heck! I was extremely pleased with the service from the cabin crew. They are always polite, professional, and well trained compared to my previous favorites Delta and Lufthansa. The seats were comfortable (as comfortable as Economy and 24hours of flying can be), the entertainment and aircraft were state of the art, and the food was outstanding for airline food. If I get the chance in the future I will definitely choose Qatar Airways for long trips."

My other child is 1yr and 11 months and I was told they were only allowed baby food not a child meal. Although there were a few spare seats on the plane I was squashed into a full row with a 3 yr old and one year old on my lap. I appreciate that there may not have been any bassinet seats left but would have been helpful not to be on a full row as a single adult travelling with two small children. No offers for assistance with bags."

"I had a senior citizen travelling with me in business class while I was travelling in Economy. The return trip from Chicago was okay. However, the ground crew need proper training and need to ensure proper handling of passengers who have special needs. There were two people who needed wheel chair access including my mom. While they got a wheel chair for a person whose travels ended in Abu Dhabi, they did not accomodate for my mom who needed wheel chair access as well. They wanted her to walk instead. They made a big deal in providing wheel chair access to her and only provided the wheel chair once we strongly complained about it. This was also an issue as the plane was not connected via a jetway and was connected with stair cases. They were informed previously that my mom needed wheel chair access through out her trip. It was just a general lack of planning on Etihad's part. The flight was delayed due to technical issues as well and we left 30 minutes late. In addition, my mom was requested the Asian Meal and she was informed that the Asian Meal was not requested in business class. This was deplorable as she was unable to eat much on the flight from Abu Dhabi to Chicago. All in all, the business class experience was not great and would consider other airlines who could do a better job in handling special requests. The departure flight from Chicago was a different experience and the crew on the oubound flight from Chicago was extremely helpful and provided food choices that my mom enjoyed. That was thee epectation from Etihad on our return. However, the ground crew and the in-flight crew were more mediocre in providing the service. My mom did not sleep well on the flight as well and did not have much appreciation for the in-flight entertainment. For a business class expereince, the expectations were higher. However, the experience turned out to be more mediocre."

This is unlikely and complex process for anyone while in airport to get access to print, scan etc. we wish this was more simpler process Cabin was too cold and staff deny bluntly to make any adjustment saying some other set of passengers complained that cabin is warm.. I have not seen anyone who could sit around with out blanket on them and we had to get double blankets and wrap ourselves in there"

I'm familiar with Launceston airport so it was okay, but for someone not familiar, especially an international visitor, it would have been confusing as to which flight was which especially as no announcement or visual display was given that our flight was running late."

Negativ: "On arrival at Sydney, discovered my bag damaged. The metal cage that holds the handle slider had been broken so they must have really thumped the bag. Re windows and cabin lighting. Flight left Abu Dhabi at 21:50, landed Sydney at 17:50 next day. The cabin was kept in darkness until 3pm Sydney time / 9am Abu Dhabi time. This only gave us 2 hours of daylight on Tuesday, terrible in trying to adjust to a new timezone!! Even going off Abu Dhabi time, why wait till 9am to turn on the lights and raise the windows? No-one sleeps that long and it creates too much darkness. Please turn on the lights and raise window shades a few hours earlier to help our body clocks adjust. The view of the world outside the window is also interesting! Re entertainment system: with some airlines you can use the entertainment system immediately on embarking but with Etihad you have to wait till airborne. Considering boarding begins an hour before departure, that is a long time to sit waiting without being able to use the entertainment system. Re comfort: I don't know why, but the Etihad A380 seats have this weird head rest on one side that can't be folded flat. I found it quite annoying. Also when you recline the seat, it also goes forward scrunching you towards the seat in front. I found the Emirates A380 seat a lot roomier and more comfortable."

Negativ: "On the dreamliner flights they have tried to cram a ton of seats in so if your over 5'8 you'll be very cramped with your knees under the seats and a strange headrest jammed I to your shoulder. I fly about 20 or 30k miles a year in economy and this is easily the most uncomfortably designed seat I've been in. More over the staff was incredibly dismissive and rude to all I witnessed then keep a older woman waiting for 45 mins for water and then dismiss her when she asked a second time. The check in staff was no better."
