The basic room in which we stayed desperately needs a renovation. The room didn't have a working safe, as the lock was broken, and the fridge didn't cool either.
The location is good; a short walk to the luxury shopping at La Isla Mall.
Upon checkin, we were surprised with an upcharge of $52 for an additional guest. I had booked two rooms for a total of three people for $368 for one night. The website stated that the rooms were two person occupancy. When I explained to the staff that we were only going to be there for a few hours as we had a 4:00 a.m. departure, the staff was unwilling to make any concessions. When I arrived, there was no concierge at the taxi driveway. I lugged four bags up a flight of stairs in hot sticky late afternoon weather. Upon entering the lobby, the staff ignored us and made no effort to hold open a door or assist with luggage. The room was moldy, dingy and poorly lit with fluorescent lighting. The pillows were thin and inadequate for a room at this price point; there was a top sheet, but no blanket or any sort of comforter. Just a sheet. The pool, and surprisingly, even the hot tubs, were full of young and loud children. The water in the shower never reached above a slightly warm temperature. There was no lock provided for the old-style room safe in the room. The wifi did not work in the room at all. The concrete construction of the room made it impossible to get ANY cellular service in the room. After having dinner, we returned to the room at 11:00 p.m. and there was a live band performing in the pool bar no less than 15 feet from our room. There were no visible patrons, only a band and a couple of bartenders. Upon checkout (at 4 a.m.) there was no staff to assist with luggage, so I, once again, schlepped the bags down a long staircase to the taxi staging area. A security guard was roused from sleep and kindly called a cab for us. This hotel is an example of why I no longer stay in Cancun; the towns further south are much more calm and relaxing. I am typically a very positive reviewer, but this hotel is substandard and the staff does not seem to care. Stay elsewhere if you can; NYX it off of your list of prospective hotel accommodation providers.
First room they gave us was an old room, with rusted lamp shades, cloth shower curtain with mold, hard dryer plug fused and melted to the outlet (when I confronted the front desk about this she told me "did you call maintenance?"... for what? so they can rewire the entire room??), we arrive and there was a plate of discarded food on the building steps, when I told the front desk she told me that it was room service... 20 hours later the plate was still there. After the first night thy switched us to one of the new rooms, still had an ancient mattress, and the pipes smelled like sewers when you flushed. NEVER AGAIN.
Hotel seems very nice at first glance. Modern lobby, two swiming pools, waterfront to the warm Caribbean, However... The hotel stinks, a mixture of mildew a specific cleaning agent and sewage. The room was too cold and it was impossible to adjust the temperature (two nights and two lobby phone calls). I know it sounds capricious but something is broken in this hotel. I suggest finding something in isla mojeres straight from airport if everything is booked and this is a last option.
The hotel is right on the really beautiful beach and they have two pools. Great for a cheap getaway The room had no real view and it was tucked in there. I choose the cheap room, and that's what you get, but the hotel is nice. For my girlfriend and I it was great because we just used the room to sleep in and spent the most of the day outside in the hotel facilities. If you need a nice room upgrade. If you just need a room that let's you have access to one of the best beaches in the world book the cheap one.
The bed was not a queen and the pillows kind of sucked. There was competition for the beach chairs which I always think is funny but besides that it was nice.

we contracted a taxi with the hotel for our return to the airport, but they never even called the taxi. They ended up getting a random taxi and they charged us 800 pesos. some times they giveme diferents information
The hotel was fully recently renovated and all the rooms are new. The breakfast is good and safe as well as the dinners.
I wish they would have gotten a little better mattress but still a great hotel, in a great location, and an excellent price.
we got to check into our room 1 hour early.....
our room was a joke.... room flooded due to the tub not being able to drain, fan was about to fall off, paper thin walls, non all inclusive for an inclusive price..... to be fair we came from 6 days at another resort and we were only here for 1 day but it was enough to let me know I would 1000% return to my other resort.....
The room and view was great. Great space, great sitting area and great balcony. Great beach area and bar/restaurant.
Confirmed out 3:30 a.m. wake up call 3 times. Did not get a wake up call. Good thing we set our phone alarms.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, comfortable bed, and amazing view of the beach. We were very pleased with our stay here.

The elevator didn't go to my room on the 6th floor, Had to walk up & down 75 stairs with a ton of luggage (awful). The water took about 10 minutes to become lukewarm (no hot water in my room) I reported it to the staff, nothing done about it!!! The King size bed was HARD. 1 face towel in the room. Smh...

The housekeeping services were extremely bad! The room smelled and the staff didn't manage the regular day to day cleaning very efficiently!

I hated everything else about the hotel! Poor customer service, found cockroaches in our room with a sofa bed that was dusty, had to switch rooms three times until we got a room that was clean and fell under what my friends paid for. My room was said to have only one bed so I asked if they had any extra beds to add 2 more people in my room and they said no there is no space but when I went to my room there was an extra twin bed and a sofa bed that my 2 friends could have slept comfortably in, so they lied. I am never coming here again! The hotel didnt event have elevators or someone to help us carry our luggage when we checked in, granted it was late at night but there were still people working. I had to ask someone to carry my bag and the worker was not careful with my suitcase at all as he bumped it into every chair around until I had to say to be please dont damage my bag too. It took us 4 hours to check in!
