Terrible hotel, during my whole travel across Latin America it was the worst experience I’ve had. Here is why: 1. I was supposed to be picked up at the airport and guess what - no one came, even despite the fact that I’ve provided my flight details in advance; 2. No hot water in the room - even after running the tab for 10 min, the water was still just slightly warm and not enough to take a shower; 3. Receptionist was very unfriendly and didn’t speak any English (although at booking.com they claim to speak English) so I had to communicate with her over google translate; 4. Had to leave early for the airport and asked the receptionist A DAY BEFORE to get my breakfast packed. Again, had to go hungry to the airport. If you’re looking for a nice place in Cusco, I’d recommend looking somewhere else unless you want a bad experience to spoil your vacation.
It was a fine property. I liked the motif and interesting Knick-knacks in the room
Semi-hard to find the property
This hotel was wonderful! I had requested a taxi meet us at the airport (only 20 soles or about $5 for two people) and it was well worth it! The altitude of Cusco made walking really difficult. We never had headaches, but we couldn't walk very fast. The hotel is 15 minutes from the city center, but it took us 2 hours on the first day (and 15 minutes four days later!). The hotel IS close to the Plaza de Armes, but we had to go slow when we first arrived! There is a bakery with fresh rolls just around the corner and we would buy 5 rolls for 1 sol. Delicious! The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming and helpful. We left our bags with them when we went to Machu Picchu by train and I'm really glad we went back to this hotel after seeing Machu Picchu. I would come back here again!
I liked everything about this hotel. It was clean and friendly. It was quiet at night. The front desk staff arranged tours for us (great tours for a good price). We paid with cash in American dollars. Credit card was an option, but bring cash because credit cards often charge an additional foreign fee. We went on the Rainbow Mountain hike. That was the hardest hike of my life because of the altitude. I highly recommend waiting 4-5 days before going on this hike. Every day at 11,000 feet makes it easier.
This hotel was AMAZING! The front desk staff was excellent. They helped us call taxis and arrange tours to see Rainbow Mountain (do this on your last full day!), and Moray Terraces, Maras Salt flats and various ruins. The breakfast was excellent, they cooked eggs to order (our Spanish limited us to requesting "scrambled eggs"), and the room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again and would suggest it to anyone. EXCELLENT place. They like being paid with cash, but they do take credit cards.
I liked everything. This hotel was WONDERFUL! Great people! Good location. Nice rooms. Delicious breakfast.
Service was very good and staff was cordial, as well as attentive to needs. Area everything needed. Ecellent experience. If i needed something they insured i received it.
At times there was problems with the hot water! That seems to be a a normal thing in the area.
