We had a trailer and the hotel parking couldn't accomodate onsite so we had to park offsite in the side street
Great place to come to, near everything in town. Staff was friendly. Breakfeast, bagged scrambled eggs.
Room was good size with space for everything. Breakfast was pretty decent with better seating situation than most hotel breakfast areas. Staff was very, very good and easy to deal with. They were all on the ball. A good place to stay1
Nice indoor pool and hottub. At every hotel we stayed at in a nine day road trip this hotel did not offer a free breakfast such as the one Hampton Inn does.
It is dog friendly. The food was expensive and not good.
Enjoyed my visit. The hotel, staff, location and amenities were top notch.
Location & friendly staff No heat just cool air until Oct. Front door of room 119 we could see light through door. Also door frame was broken & needs to be replaced.
Close to downtown, basic but good continental breakfast, very clean bathrooms advertised as having a minifridge, but none could be found. bed wasnt terribly comfy
Small, dirty, old.
It's dated but clean May have to go to chiropractor seriously it was like a almost comically rock hard bed. Also had someone above me walking around literally all night. Checked in late had to go to days inn which they also manage for the key. Slept from 3 to five am only because of discomfort and noise. 5 am go to leave and people in room above were up smoking cigarettes on the porch silently watching me pack. Place reminded me off something off cops with all the meth heads roaming the area. Felt like I'll go home and see this motel on an episode of cops. I'm a huge world traveller and this place haunts me as one of the absolute worst anywhere. I'm serious I would pay to sleep in my car in a wal mart parking lot before I would let someone pay me to return to this nightmare.
Bed & bedding were extremely comfortable. Microwave & refrigerator came in handy. Check-in and out were quick & friendly. Good breakfast! Bathroom sink faucet was older and hard to operate, but was managable.
Clean and comfortable room. Updated bathroom. Staff unfriendly. Biggest disappointment. Rarely offered a smile. The shower head sprayed water everywhere. Not efficient.
The staff was nice. The room keys *never* worked. We had to get a new key every time we left the room, which was a pain in the butt.
Not your too classy resort hotel, but that being said it was a great, cheap motel with proximity to the Durango Mountain Resort and Main St Durango. it was clean, staff was young but kind and there's a waffle maker for breakfast! From our room, #10, we had a spectacular view of the golden sunset on the mountain crest. Bed was comforty, facilities clean, heater..hot. Aka perfect for what we needed! If We had paid more, it may not have been great. But we didn't!
It was quiet. Pretty old for the price.
Big room, friendly staff The main reason we rented the room was to save money by not eating out every night. But, since the kitchen had no pots or pans, cooking was impossible unless we bought cookware, which would have cost more than eating out!
We're repeat visitors and just enjoy everything about the hotel. The breakfast in the morning is fantastic and the staff who serve it is super friendly! The cruiser bikes that are available to guests are very convenient to zip around town. All of the stores, restaurants, bars, etc. are very close so no need for a car, which is huge. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are spotless. You are definitely made to feel welcome there. We look forward to our next visit!
We had a nice, clean and spacious room here. They served a great hot breakfast. The staff was very courteous and attentive, they took care of everything we asked for or needed. We would definitely stay again. The pool and hot tub stayed very crowded with noisy kids, so we did not use it.
I liked how convenient this hotel was to highway 550 and the grocery store. I also like that this location had a big back yard and a fairly well kept pool. Breakfast was a standard Best Western breakfast, which was fine. Perhaps it is because this hotel is in Durango but we found this hotel to be very pricey. In many other cities Best Western is our best bet for an affordable and clean night stay. This location was expensive. After we left, we found out that we could have stayed at a nice hotel in downtown Durango for only $10 more.
Perfect size room for our family of 5. (2 Queen beds & fold out sofa bed) Hotel & rooms seem a bit older & could use some remodeling, but overall clean & nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. We would stay here again. Not much we didn't like or to mention as a negative.
Nothing People sleeping in the halls, the room smelled like mold, the staff was unknowledgeable about the surroundings, the appearance of the room was not what was shown on the pictures. Massive misrepresentation. The room smelled so bad we left and stayed at another hotel.
Desk staff helpful. Wifi unuseable for speed. Noisy neighbors. Poor value for nightly rate. This town is expensive, but surely a $40 hotel should still be a $40 hotel and not an $80 hotel?
Hotel was located close to down town and next to the river. My kids loved the view. The hotel had a slight moldy smell. Was clean but very outdated. The worst part of our stay was that there was no hot water. We had to take freezing cold showers since we could not wait for them to resolve the issue.
The satff was very rude! There was supposed to be a heated pool and when i when to say that the water was cold the guy just said that it should be fine. He didnt even turn to look at me. The rooms smell really bad! I almost used my bottle of perfume so that it would smell so horrible.
The location was great and with a lawn, swing for the kids and picnic area. Perfect for our family. No safety lock on doors. Otherwise, loved the place.
kitchen was nice, beds were very comfortableplace was clean Bad smell in beginning, believe room was cleaned then had to air out,was o.k. after 2nd day, probably due to carpet cleaning.Heater thermostat was not functioning correctly
Location, cost. No.
No plug in for coffee pot. Stool back up . It showed a pool and hot tub there wasn't one.
I liked that this was a small family-based motel which was very helpful and friendly, great to see it still around despite all the bigger organisations. Good luck to them. Recommend staying here. Lovely hand painted art work on the room walls too! Not really, there is a 20min walk to Downtown Durango. I enjoy the walk along the river, this may not be to everyone's taste.
Location, friendly staff, quiet-no traffic running in and out of motel all night- major plus!!! Smell of room-very stinky pet room! Remove carpet and replace with with all tile to help cut down on leftover pet smell!!! Had to buy Lysol to get rid of smell
The location was great and the room was pretty clean other than the spider and his web that we shared it with. The woman who checked us in was very nice. The shower didn't have enough water trickling out to wash the shampoo out to my hair. The towels were old and smelled sour. The man who worked the office the next day was rude. For the price we paid I expected more. very disappointed.

Good value. Furnishings somewhat older
This was one of the dirtiest, dumpiest, motels we have ever stayed in. The pictures on their website do not let nothing like what you get. Nothing worked including the staff. Filthy room
The bed was fairly comfortable and the couch was cute. Fire hazard, trip hazards, crappy rundown, poor service, stingy, run-down, poor lighting. A law suit waiting to happen. TV too far away to be of any use. Poor layout. Very dangerous flight of stairs. I could go on and on. Totally not worth the money. JOKE
The room was great with the loft area upstairs. We got the room so we could come with our 2 kids (we decided not to bring them) which would have been perfect! Price was awesome for the "2 bedroom" size. Free continental breakfast is always nice. Nothing special, but they have what you need. Extended stay guests. Recently heard that the hotel also started renting monthly. This should stop, hopefully when the hotel is sold as it is for sale currently. Needs updating: carpet, fixtures, art, paint, etc. But still kept up pretty well.
Our room was clean. Beds were comfy. Above all it was QUIET. I didn't hear a sound all night. My kids enjoyed watching the train go by and loved the small splash pool. Bathroom/sink area could use some updates. Upstairs was a little warm
The location and outside scenery The shower wouldn't drain, the "clean" sheets had someone's hair on them, the towels and the carpet had stains
refrigerator , microwave, large quarters, free breakfast Place is slightly in disrepair
