Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit.
Die Anlage ist sehr schön, aber ziemlich heruntergekommen und das Frühstück sehr spartanisch.
The hotel is charming and the staff is great. The hotel has a dining room and kitchen. They offer breakfast but as we were there in the low season it wasn't available. The coffee they made was great however. We had a dinner there one night when there were more guests and that was excellent. The hotel is near the museum (up the street) and the central plaza is a block or so anyway. The plaza was lively and fun to hang out. The river is close by and has a paved walkway. A number of restaurants and street vendors are nearby. There is also a pharmacy and ATM close by. The staff was really gracious and friendly.
No complaints, the weather was hot and humid but the room was airconditioned with a ceiling fan and that helped.
Hotel is great, It is really wonderfully decorated and larger than you would think. Room was clean and very roomy. Shower large. Bed was king and comfortable. Room was air conditioned and included ceiling fan. All the staff was great and friendly and helpful. The host was great and spoke English and was very helpful. The location is great in the old town with a great central plaza, with food carts and people strolling and sitting. The local church and Municipal Building are right off the plaza. The local museum is just a short walk up from the hotel. The river has a walkway along the banks which is close to the hotel as well. ATM and great food carts and restaurant.
I really liked this hotel and our stay there.
Hotel was comfortable and clean. We got a triple room with 3 beds and the space was great. The location was very convenient super close to the plaza. The dinner at the restaurant was great also!! we tried different moles!
Pool needed to be cleaned!!
Rooms big and comfortable Courtyard is gorgeous (attached) Pool area nice and relaxing (dubious cleanliness but it was 36 degrees c) Staff generally helpful (if you can locate them) - the new owner of the restaurant, Diego (I think), was very kind and informative Location is right next to the main square and less than a minute from the museum and malecon etc The much more expensive hotel located 30s away organised tours and does the Zorro show so you can just go there to sort out activities. They also allow use of their bigger pool as long as you buy something Aircon works and is essential
The first room we were given had a ceiling that leaked water onto the socket my charger was plugged into as well as the bathroom leaking (this was during a rainstorm in the afternoon while we were napping) Rooms inconsistent as everything is so old so in our first room the fan didn’t work but in our second the lamp was missing - we much preferred room 2 to the initial one we had Generally very dark inside and windows covered and unreachable so there is no natural light in rooms Breakfast is absolutely awful, my girlfriend loves chilequiles and described them as the worst she has had in 2 years of living in Mexico. The eggs and coffee both cold and flavourless Hotel does not provide transport to and from El Fuerte town so you have to factor in 300$ for both legs to the station which is a complete rip off as it is a 10min drive each way
