Negativ:: The bedroom (a double) is designed to for one person and was very small, so small that there was barely any space to open a suitcase. One of the beds was too soft.

Our continental breakfast was what would usually be served but staff did ask if there was anything else they could provide and tea and toast was made as required. There was always a good supply of fresh fruit and fridge items were constantly replaced.

Negativ:: We had to keep the shower running for a long time to get warm water. Do don't jump into the shower box before making sure water is warm! The toilet flushed badly leaving paper swirling around and had to keep on flushing several times. That was awkward and also waisted water.

Positiv:: Lage innerhalb der Stadt war sehr gut, Overground-Bahnhof Kensington-Olympia ca. 3-4min zu Fuß entfernt. Fahrzeit in die City of London ca. 30min. Meist haben wir aber den Underground Bahnhof Earls-Cort benutzt (ca. 15 min zu Fuß), weil wir von dieser Station aus in 15min Bahnfahrt viele Ziele in der City ohne Umsteigen erreicht haben. Das Zimmer selbst lag zur Straße was bei offenem Fenster natürlich Verkehrslärm und Abgase mit sich bringt, aber wir waren ja auch in einer Großstadt. Zimmer war klein aber gut aufgeteilt, den Kindern hat das Bett über dem Badezimmer sehr gut gefallen. Unsere Koffer haben wir unter das Bett geschoben. Zimmerservice war gut und sauber. Frühstück haben wir uns entweder selbst gemacht (kleine Küche mit Spüle, Mikrowelle und Kühlschrank im Zimmer) oder unterwegs gefrühstückt. Hotel bot auch Frühstück für 5 Pfund an, das haben wir aber nicht ausprobiert.

People at the Hotel are really very kind, making everything easy. The Hotel is incredibly clean, the rooms are cleaned every day, really deeply.

The room service is impeccable, everyday I returned to my room it looked like all new again. The location is in Kensington, a rather 'posh' area in the city as the cab driver told me, pretty safe as I walked in the neighbourhood after 11 p.m. several times. The hotel also provides discount cards of various London tourist attractions at the entrance of the rooms, I used one for city cruise with 20% off. Overall, I find it perfect for family or single tourists to enjoy London (maybe not in summer though), and I definitely would choose this hotel next time I visit London for leisure.

Negativ:: Zimmer war relativ warm (Sonneneinstrahlung) und schlecht zu lüften, da unser Zimmer direkt im Erdgeschoss an der Straße lag und wegen der (üblichen, englischen) Schiebefensterkonstruktion nur 1/4 der Fensterfläche geöffnet werden konnte, aber diese baulichen Aspekte sind halt nicht zu beeinflussen. Dafür standen 2 Ventilatoren im Zimmer bereit.

Negativ:: Well, the hotel is more like a home-stay kind of hotel, so the facilities are not very modern, therefore no AC system, and no socket on the bedside. I had to open the window every night for ventilation otherwise it would be quite hot in my room, but the noise right down on the street would make it difficult to fall asleep. The layout of the room does not make sense very much, the armchair in the small room is totally useless since I can't stretch my legs in the chair anyway.

Negativ:: The Shared shower is shared by 5 rooms. When I arrived the shower was not functional and puddles were all over the floor with the staff leaving towels on the floor to dry up the puddles. Therefore they told me to use another shower shared by another 5 rooms. Hence, I never showered. Fortunately I was only there for one night The bed wasn't clean. there were yellow stains on the comforter . I would not recommend this hotel I would prefer next time to spend a bit more money to stay at a nicer place .

Negativ:: Das Zimmer war klein (obwohl es als ein "Executive" Zimmer mit mehr Platz beworben wurde), wir hatten kein Telefon, und der "Schreibtisch" konnte kaum als Nachttisch (welche es überhaupt nicht gab) benutzt werden. Wir haben das im Preis inbegriffene Frühstück nie probiert, weil die Schlange immer so lang (und/oder der Raum so klein) war, dass wir noch nicht einmal sehen konnten, was angeboten wurde.

Worse still, the shower room was upstairs outside another bedroom, accessed through the lobby and up a small flight of stairs. Shower room was not too bad, but no space to dress/undress or anywhere to hang clothes or towels

Negativ:: The room was not as clean as I would have liked, there were stains on the walls and carpet. The TV was too small for the room. I would stay here again but only because it is convenient for work. The bathroom was fairly small but it was clean.

Positiv:: Die Lage ist super zentral. Man kann alles super erreichen. Gegenüber war ein Supermarkt, welcher sehr günstig ist und bis 24 Uhr geöffnet hat. Wir hatten 2 Spiegel im Zimmer, was sehr hilfreich war, für 2 Personen die sich gleichzeitig fertig machen wollen.
Negativ:: Die WLAN Verbindung war sehr schlecht. Der Raum war etwas zu klein, man hatte kaum Möglichkeiten sich zu bewegen.

My room (small and compact) had a double bed, very comfy and I had a great sleep. The room also had a fan, TV, kettle wt tea/coffee, iron, safe, plenty of lights and plugs, both for UK and EU appliances, so easy to recharge. Bath was also very small but it contained everything I needed: many towels and soap. Breakfast was OK : basic but fine for starting the day.

Negativ:: The bedding was clean, but there were rusty items in the shower room. The remote control for the TV was filthy, and the ceiling fan was covered with dust. The bed was on wheels, so because the flooring was lino and the not carpet, everytime we got onto the bed or turned over, it moved!. The walls are thin, so we could hear the guests in the room next door all night long. The description of the room does not match the reality, the only true statement is that the room is small. The description also reads that along with the tea and coffee making facilities, there were complimentary biscuits and bottled water, we did not receive this. The location is excellent.

Negativ:: Im Bad war ein großer Wasserschaden an der Decke, der starke Schimmelflecken aufwies. Das Personal am Empfang war höflich ohne wirklich effiezent zu helfen. Beispiel am Montag fragten wir nach der Fenbedienung am Mittwoch hatten wir noch immer trotz mehrfacher Nahfrage. Das Frühstücksangebot bestand aus Toast, süssen Stückchen, schwitzendem Scheiblettenkäse, Dosenfrüchte zum Porridge , Der Kaffee war für mich ungeniesbar. vom typischen englischen Frühstück gab es nichts , selbst Rühreier nicht gegen Aufpreis bestellbar.

Breakfast was only provided between 8 and 9. Lots of pillows but no variety of firmness so we couldn't find a comfortable combination. The shower room was a tiny addition shoe-horned into the corner of the room.

Front desk person wanted to charge for luggage when website stated free. Another front desk person told him it was free. would not recommend to anyone I know

Negativ:: Very noise hotel, I could hear everything about other rooms and the street, I only was able to sleep with earplugs. A lot of stairs without lift, difficult to climb up 82 steps with luggage. The bathroom is completely flooded after the shower. Not comfortable bed, the pillow was so bad that I couldn’t sleep with it. I know that you get what you pay for, but this hotel has so many major problems that I won’t stay there again, I will try somewhere else.

Positiv:: Das einzig positive an dieser Unterkunft war die Lage und das Personal, welches sehr freundlich war. Und auch das Frühstück war okay.
Negativ:: Sehr kleines Zimmer, ein noch kleineres Badezimmer, wenn man das überhaupt so nennen kann. Man konnte sich noch nicht einmal als Einzelperson vernünftig darin bewegen. Das Zimmer war sehr stickig und warm. Das Fenster konnte man durch Hochschieben öffnen, viel aber immer wieder zu. Wir hatten ein Vierbettzimmer, das zwei Einzelbetten und ein Etagenbett beinhaltete. Schon alleine beim Drehen im Etagenbett quietschte es enorm. Und auch die Matratzen der Einzelbetten waren so unbequem, das wir am nächsten Tag Rückenschmerzen hatten. Wir hatten ein Zimmer auf der Dritten Etage. Einen Aufzug gab es nicht. Das Hotel war so hellhörig, das man sogar das Rummeln der Underground gehört und gemerkt hat. Der Frühstücksraum befand sich im Keller. Auf den Zwischenetagen des engen „Treppenhauses“ befanden sich Toiletten, wo die eine defekt, und die andere dreckig war. Weil unser Flug gecancelt wurde, mussten wir auf die schnelle ein Hotel suchen. Wenn ich mehr Zeit zum Suchen gehabt hätte, wäre es nicht dieses Hotel geworden. Ich buche hier nicht noch einmal.

Generally unclean in the shower/toilet room. 3. We had to queue for a breakfast table or share. Although the the breakfast was not bad. 4.the hotel was generally grubby and in disrepair. 5. Old cigarette butts still on the balcony. 6. At £99 a night I hoped for a little more (I know it's london) 7. Ceiling light as you enter not working 8. No lift had to carry bags up the stairs.

Cold water in the shower, towel on the floor in front of the shower, probably left behind the previous guest, bathroom sink just as big as a breakfast plate, used soap left on the sink...I had to use a drinking glass and fill it with warm water from the bathroom sink in order to ‘take a shower’. If it hadn’t been that late and if I hadn’t been that exhausted - and above all! - had the receptionist given me a ‘normal’ look on arrival, I would have definitely complained. Awful experience in the middle of the night! Eggs served for breakfast were floating in oil, sausage tasted like plastic, coffe and tea had some undescribable taste... I arrived at 2am because of a very delayed flight and the receptionist gave me a look that resembled of the unsaid: ‘what do you want now, in the middle of the night???’ All in all - stay as far away as possible from this gloomy place! Terrible!! The only good thing was a location but it is definitely something that could be attributed to this total misery of a hotel.

Negativ:: Where do I start. Very very run down and shabby, carpet in room very stained and dirty, room smelt despite the window being open, bathroom a dribble of hot water, literally. Mould on all the grouting, the top above the window was rotten and cracked. The bathroom windows had plastic stuck of them for privacy but it was all peeling off. Bed was very lumpy and had a bar across the middle. My fixed beside shelf was falling off at an angle. The bed was very small, looked bigger in all the pictures. We went downstairs and looked at breakfast and walked out and went to a cafe at Kings Cross. No more Comfort Inns for us.

Ich habe definitiv schon für mehr Geld schlechtere Unterkünfte in London gehabt und werde auf jeden fall wieder kommen. Negativ:: Leider war das Essen im Pub nicht nach unserem Geschmack (vielleicht ein schlechter Tag), das Essen (Pizza und Burger) wurde lauwarm serviert. Das Burgerbrötchen hatte wohl auch mal einen Toaster/Grill gesehen aber war mittlerweile kalt und das obwohl nur 8 Gäste anwesend waren. Der Teppichboden des Zimmers hatte auch schon mal bessere Tage und könnte bei Zeiten getauscht werden - ich hatte mir das schon gedacht und einfach Badelatchen dabei. Auch hatte jemand den Kühlschrank abgestellt (wir haben ihn nicht genutzt)...

Negativ:: **Tried to charge us cash for booking upon arrival even though we pre paid online. Have read other reviews saying they were also double charged** There is no “nearby” tube station. We were around a 30 minute walk from the nearest station through an industrial estate to get there. The hotel is quite a bit further away from Camden than we expected. General cleanliness of the rest of the rooms is poor. Doors, skirting boards, walls are noticeably dirty and dusty.

Positiv:: Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und ist optimal für eine Städtetour - wenn man auf Komfort verzichten kann. Vom Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist die Unterkunft okay.
Negativ:: Das Frühstück war mäßig: Sandwich-Scheiben und nur Marmelade, Manchmal gab es Joughurt oder Orangensaft. Müsli konnte man sich allerdings auch holen.

Negativ:: The bathroom had serious mold in the corners, and some electrical appliances had wires hanging out. This is a serious safety issue, but other than not showering there or turning certain things on did not effect our trip.

Negativ:: The bed was infested with bed bugs. I am covered in hundreds of bites and in a lot of pain! Beds are small. Bathrooms are tiny. Water pours onto the floor from the shower because it is so small. No bedside tables or a chair to sit on. The window doesn't close properly so the room is noisy.

Negativ:: Ich schreibe hier als Einzelreisender. 2 Nächte Das kleine Zimmer (Nr. 42) 10 qm komplett, ist unter dem Dach im 4. Stock ohne Fahrstuhl. War unsauber. Es wurde auch nicht gereinigt,nur Mülleimer ausgeleert. Toilettendeckel kaputt,wurde trotz Hinweis nicht repariert,Schimmel in der Dusche. Frühstück nicht mal ein Pfund wert. Trotz allem,das Personal war nicht unfreundlich.

Negativ:: I was told I would have a bottle of wine on arrival for my husbands 40 th birthday there was nothink. We was put in a loft room above the hotel very small. Without the lift working.Damp and mold in the bathroom and glass missing from the mirror. No flannel and towels very small. The room was very dusty and not clean spider webs on the window. And dust along the head board. At breakfast there was only a choice of two cereals , toast or fruit. And the toasters wasn’t working properly one had broken. And there was a charge of 15£ a day for the car park which wasn’t stated when I booked the stay. kids being allowed to run around till late at night shouting and slamming doors defently not value of money wouldn’t stay there again.

Negativ:: You may as well slept on the hallway. The floor was squeaky, the doors were squeaky. There were people knocking around, the bathroom was also making noises. Impossible to sleep. The room was dirty, I found drops of blood on the duvet. Our floor had a hole. Past midnight the toilet doesn't flush. Windows, halways everything you can see is dirty. The breakfast is also bad.

Negativ:: I wouldn't give it even 2.5. Room was tiny, squalid. Bed rickety. Only 1 pillow each. Pervading damp smell and indeed whole outside wall was wet, with flakey plaster and paint and salts building up. There was heavy rain and much of this fell inside the room, drenching the curtains and carpet. Shower was OK. But no plug in sink. Thankfully we were only staying the one night.

Negativ:: Das Zimmer war sehr dreckig und vieles kaputt, Fernseher ging nicht Steckdose mit Adapter kaum nutzbar. Handtücher (nur eines von beiden getauscht worden)und Zimmer gerreinigt wenn man das so bezeichnen kann, nur alle zwei Tage. Im Bad Wasserhahn locker Dudchkopf locker alles einfach kaputt. Es war einfach nur widerlich waren kurz davor ein anders Hotel zu buchen.

Negativ:: Employees stood outside my window talking and smoking all the time. Something out in the hall right by my door beeped all night. The TV only worked sometimes. One morning there was no hot water. I knew this was not a luxury hotel, but this was really bad. Some other reviewers said it was pretty good and the breakfast was great. I disagree!!!

Negativ:: Das Zimmer war dreckig bis zum Himmel, auf Nachfrage das Zimmer nochmal zu putzen (zumindest ein bisschen Staub vom Regal überm Bett und nochmal zu staubsaugen und vielleicht den alten Zehnagel neben der Toilette weg zu machen) wurden wir behandelt wir Kinder. Nicht ernst genommen und gesagt, wir lügen.
